I will always cherish the moments Of today. It was special for my full family. My mother is 57 still she went there. After 1 and half hour we reached on the peak. The landscape is indescribable. You don’t have to hike on the top if u have car. But if u r a hike person go for it.

Small zoo with native species, a beautiful lake, a MerryGo Round, walking trails, ice ring and much more. A great place for family. My kid enjoyed specially merry Go, reptile zoo area as well as the bear and birds. Lake view is amazing.

Amazing hike trail. Hike is easy to moderate, and view is worth it. Try to go during evening, you can see beautiful sunset. If you have kids or old age people, you do have the capacity of taking your car to the top and park.

Great spot to access multiple trails. CLOSED SINCE JULY 2023 DUE TO STORM DAMAGE.

Probably the best hike for the average person in this park. 1. The Appalachian trail approach is among the best maintained trails on the 2200 mile stretch with wide, manageable rock steps and nearly-level walking surfaces all the way to the top (and there are outstanding interpretive signs and examples of how this trail maintenance is achieved by mostly volunteers at the trailhead). 2. The distance is relatively short (3-4 miles depending on the route(s) you choose). 3. The views are excellent. 4. The tower, binoculars, and benches at the summit are enjoyable and give people who need a break a nice opportunity to take one after thei get to the top.

Awesome hike. The entire loop was fun and worth it if you are moderately fit. The hike up was challenging. Was tired by the time I reached the tower at the top. The descend via the Welch was not paved and was tricky as well. It’s a little rocky and slippery at certain places and the descend via this route took longer than hiking up. It was really really good though. Took me little more than 3 hours.
