So grateful to be part of the AATMA Performing Arts family. This is not just a dance school - you feel like you are of something much bigger. The training you receive is not just about dance, it’s about confidence, art, perseverance, trust in others and trust in yourself. From the minute that lockdown began last year, the team pivoted quickly to keep us and our kids active remotely. They held a virtual show - as difficult as it was for everyone- the show must and did go on. Fast forward to this season - hybrid made things even trickier but they somehow pulled through to make it work. The result? An amazing outdoor showcase that seemed effortless to the audience but the behind the scenes effort, challenges and perseverance was more than anyone can imagine. The instructors are the epitome of motivation, dedication, confidence and belief in our students - Speaking as a parent, you never doubted for a minute - regardless of where the student was on their journey this year - that it would come together in the end as beautifully as it did. Thankfully there are classes for all levels and types of dance from traditional to contemporary. Something for everyone!

I’ve been a part of many dance schools and companies, but none compare to the AATMA experience. As a new student this past year, I felt immediately welcomed and part of the family. The teachers are extremely hard working, dedicated, and committed to their students- the annual show says it all. Not only did I grow as a dancer, but gained many special friendships. I’m so grateful for AATMA for creating a space for us, adults, to get away for a bit and shine in such a tremendous way. Thank you Amit, Sapna, and the entire team 💛

Aatma!! The name holds a very special place in our household! This is MY first year and second year for my 14 year old daughter. I did Adult Bollywood technique class this year. Never in my dreams, I thought I could get back to learning dance formally and perform on stage at 40” 😄 But Aatma made it happen for me! Amit is a fantastic teacher and a choreographer!! He was very patient & detailed when it comes to training us. My daughter did three different styles of dance this year with three different teachers and she loves it! The entire team of Aatma have been very professional, dedicated and hardworking! The culture they maintain and inculcate to the students is truly commendable. “It’s all about Joy of learning dance” And you will find it in Aatma ♥️

What an amazing journey of learning and dancing I had with Aatma last year! I finally found the right platform and community to pursue my hobby of dancing. AATMA Performing Arts has pushed me further in my passion for dance. With instruction and application of techniques I am learning tremendously. I am transitioning from a free dancer to a more graceful one. It’s hard work but worth it in every way ! I am proud to have my children and I be a part of THE AATMA FAMILY !

My first year with AATMA was amazing! I never dreamed of performing on stage again after 25 years! I take both workout and adult technique class and it is my “ happy place”. I absolutely love my classes and Amit is an amazing teacher. Learning the dances were as exciting as performing! The costumes were great and the dances were great this year! I’m really looking forward to the coming year!!!! My 2nd year was Amazing! Looking forward to my year 3…

AATMA is a great dance school. Our toddler daughter was shy and hesitant when she first started, but then she came into her own in Amit’s class and ended up doing a great job at the yearly dance recital. She even got an award for how well she did in the class which made us so proud. We are definitely keeping our daughter enrolled in AATMA for as long as she is willing to do it. And Amit is both a great instructor and owner of the company. Highly recommended!

I joined Adult Bollywood and Bhangra dance class at Aatma performing Arts Monroe Location last year led by Amit Shah and couldn’t be happier!! His vision, contagious energy and enthu brings out the best in each one of his student. After every class I have always left the studio with positive vibes and a reason to come back next class with more energy and excitement. And the bonus is I made some amazing friends who share similar passion for dance. The entire team of instructors at Aatma Performing Arts is absolutely professional and their dedication and hard-work is commendable. It’s been an amazing experience. Highly recommended!!
