I stayed for a conference as was pleasantly surprised with the facilities and service. Rooms are comfy and large. I like the auto lights in the bathroom and auto blinds that go up when you enter. We had a large function party here and it was amazing! The decorations and entertainment was top notch, which is a credit to the event organisers but the venue plays a big part. The pools and gym were great and I just wished I had more time to use them! Also a short walk to the beach so bring your walking shoes and bathers. Overall a great venue.

Everything was great. We stayed at The Grand Star (old hotel). There's still a few renovations underway in areas, but overall no complaints. The pool and spa and gym were empty due to the cooler time of year, but the spa temperature was 👌. Parking was a bit full Friday night, but other than that all was good. I'd happily stay here again, next time I'd just stay away from the casino.

Top quality establishment as you would expect from a 5 star high end hotel/casino. The whole place had plenty to offer, not just accommodation or gambling. Plenty of choices in restaurants catering to many different taste buds, from Chinese, Japanese and Western foods. My favourite is the Harvest Buffet Restaurant offering all you can eat seafood, steak, Asian, Italian and many other cuisines. The staff everywhere are very professional and friendly. Car parking is very easy and plentiful and very close to the action in the main building. Well worth a visit.

Last Tuesday dined at Harvest for their 2 for one deal on the buffet...what a rip off...so boring with selections..nothing special you wouldn't cook at home..basic seafood selection and it looked as if 80% of desserts were bulk purchase off site and not made by their chefs. Hadn't dined on the buffet style for 7yrs..which was absolutely exceptional then. I'm pleased we only paid half price.. Never to return at inflated prices.

Stayed at The Star Residences. For the price, I’d expect more for the rooms. There were stains on the couch, marks on the walls and a squashed bug on the blinds. The lift wait time is ridiculous. We were on the 48th floor and we could hear traffic noise from below. That was nothing compared to the construction noise from the new building being built right next door. They start at 6:30am and work until about 5:30pm. So if you’re looking for a relaxing and quiet stay, find another hotel to stay at. The mattresses are too firm and the pillows too soft. If you come early in the week, expect some of the restaurants to be closed. On the plus side, the pool on level 6 is lovely. The view from our balcony was beautiful. The restaurants that we did go to had great food and service. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. But overall, I wouldn’t stay here again.

Booked a room at the Star to save us travelling home after a show. The room was great. Brilliant views, very roomy, great room service and the executive lounge was very nice. Now for the bad bits. The swimming pool on level 6 was closed which there was no mention of, this left the pool on the ground floor which was full of families with screaming kids and no where to sit. The musical ( Beautiful) in The Star Theatre was excellent. Breakfast the following day was well below what we would expect from a 5 star hotel. We were forced to cue for over 10 minutes just to get in the restaurant which was buffet style. The cooked breakfast items, sausages and bacon were terrible. The bacon was very fatty and either looked barely cooked or was over cooked. The sausages were clearly the cheapest they could find. All the hot food was luke warm at best. Just to add to the confusion. Eggs were not under the eggs sign, and fruit and yogurt was not under the fruit and yogurt sign. There was clearly not enough staff for the volume of people. All in all the experience was terrible and I would not recommend it any one.

Very impressive hotel with a Casino, gym, pool and restaurants. Staff are very friendly and the location is perfect for the beach, restaurants and bars. The gym has a great selection of machines with big TV screens. Swimming pool is beautiful and clean and the restaurants produce amazing food!! There is also a Casino with a great selection of games - 3 card poker is great!! All in all a great experience if you are attending the exhibition centre with a walkway direct from the hotel.

My recent visit to this casino was an absolute nightmare. From the moment I walked in, I could sense something was off. The casino had a sketchy and unpleasant atmosphere, and it became clear to me that the machines were rigged and the whole place was a scam. The minimum bet of $5 was outrageous, especially considering the low quality of the games and the lack of any real chance to win. The slot machines seemed to be programmed in a way that made it impossible to win anything substantial. It felt like the odds were stacked against the players, and it was evident that the casino was only interested in taking people's money without any real chance of winning. The customer service was also lacking. The staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful, and it was clear that they were aware of the shady practices happening at the casino. Overall, my experience at this casino was a complete disappointment. I would advise anyone to steer clear of this place, as it's clear that they are only interested in exploiting their customers with rigged machines and exorbitant minimum bets. It's a shame that such a place is allowed to operate, and I would strongly recommend finding a more reputable and fair casino to visit.

We needed urgent accomodation after we had to vacate another hotel during our holiday and we found a good last minute deal at The Star Grand. The kind man in Valet parking could tell we were a little stressed and made us feel very welcome. Check in was easy, and the room was beautiful. The beds, oh my goodness they are like sleeping on clouds. I had great sleep while visiting. The toiletries are lovely. We had a nice view of the city lights. The parking wasn’t too bad for us and we found parking quickly each time but it was always very busy. Close to Broadbeach for dinner, overall we enjoyed our stay.

Excellent hotel, with something for everyone. For the business travelers, the rooms are super well equipped and the conference facilities are excellent. For families, there is a great pool area and you’re a 15 min walk from the beach. For those out for a flutter, there is an ample-sized casino floor with all the thrills. We’ll be back, the service and amenities were superb.

Great location in the heart of Gold coast. Parking can be slightly difficult to get to and from there to the reception, if you are a first timer. Check-in was easy and smooth. Rooms were neat and slick with a great view from the top, with good options to select from to watch on tv. A stay here is especially a good option if you want to have the casino experience which is within the premises. The breakfast spread was very good, but it can get super busy, as it seemed popular with non-hotel guests as well. Checkout was nice and easy as well.

Our visit to Star Casino was an absolute delight, even though we didn't gamble. The atmosphere was electric, and the venue was stunning with its modern design and vibrant energy. The entertainment provided was top-notch, ensuring a memorable experience. Star Casino is a fantastic destination for a night out, even if you're not into gambling and staff was very warm as well!

Words cannot describe the joys that the Star offers. Being able to walk down to a buffet breakfast and then spend the next 3 hours smashing $5 slaps on the pokies all before 10 in the morning makes for a proper mint holiday destination. The perks provided by the executive suite far outweigh any additional cost. Will definitely be returning in the future to try and recuperate the losses experienced by the Bricklayers ATM.

Stayed there with family for a few days. Everything at the venue was top class for us anyway, some people my disagree but for us it was a pleasure. Being a star club member was worth the effort. Service at all the restaurants was top class and the people there went out of their way to make to make our stay memorable. Will definitely stay there again. Thank you Star and your employees 👏👏👏

Rooms are ok. Nice decor but furniture wasn't comfy so couldn't really relax. Could improve this I believe. Bit disappointed there's no microwave unless you've booked a suite and the extractor fan in the bathroom was so noisy it was annoying - was on a timer so went for 20 minutes after you turn the lights off - needs fixing. Otherwise all OK. Towels lovely. Pool was amazing. Staff pretty good. Location is great.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here but strongly recommend booking for dinner well in advance if you're wanting to eat within the hotel. The room was lovely, very clean and a generous size (executive king suite). There is plenty to see and do, so suggest a couple of nights minimum. Buffet breakfast at the Harvest was excellent!

I had an incredible experience with this panel beater. They not only fixed my car to perfection but also made it look even better than it did when it was brand new. The level of service provided was outstanding, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. I highly recommend this place for all your car repair needs!

Definitely NOT 5 stars! Run down rooms, stains, chips, cracks, paint peeling & rust in bathrooms. Navigating through this huge complex is difficult due to poor signage. Bed wasn’t made properly had to remake. Bed not comfortable - sagging. Bed linen was not white, more greyish. The pools & pool area….ewww gross 🤮 Minimal staff behind pool bar. No staff out wiping down tables or picking up rubbish, towels etc. Bin chickens everywhere. I personally wouldn’t swim there…the pools were absolutely disgusting 🤢! The buffet breakfast….save your money! What an embarrassment & rip off! Stay elsewhere! We won’t be back that’s for sure. The Star is NOT 5 stars!! It’s lucky to be 3. Do better!

I took my pillow with me as it's a chiropractic one and I love it. I left the room and when I came back that evening the beds had been made and my pillow was gone (it was in a bright blue/purple cover). When I told house keeping they said they would look into it. The next day when I rang the manager I was told that they had checked the lock and nobody had entered the room other than us. I told them that was impossible as the beds were made and there were chocolates on the bedside table. A few days when I spoke to someone she told me that because of the location of the room that the cameras could not pick up anything. A week later, still not having a satisfying answer tha manager advised that the footage showed the cleaners entering the room and leaving without anything. When I asked if he had actually viewed the footage he said "no". I was made to feel like I had made up the whole situation and treated abhorrently. I was told to make a police report if I wanted any further action to take place. The Manager did send me an email stating that on my next visit he would make it up to me. However on my next visit I was put in a wheelchair access room and when I asked to speak with the manager about exactly how he was going to make it up to me he abused me and told me once again that I need to make a police report. The Manager was extremely rude and unprofessional. He was condescending and should definitely not be in a customer facing senior role. I'm not accusing the Star of stealing my pillow. It was obviously taken mistakenly when making the beds. Everyone makes mistakes it's how you handle them that matters.

We had 3 nights in a Superior King room, absolutely brilliant time. Very clean, bed was huge and comfy. Bathroom excellent with beautiful toiletries, the towels were luxury. The restaurants were brilliant and reasonable. Mei Wei dumplings excellent. Handy to Pacific Fair and surrounds. Buffet breakfast was lovely but we enjoyed room service breakfast on our last morning that was just fabulous 👌 Will definitely be back.

We had two nights here on a promo rate and it was fantastic value. The staff were fantastic. I would definitely recommend signing up to the star rewards program online before you arrive. Restaurants are great, we had found it difficult to get in and would recommend booking. The only negative was the queues during check in and check out.

The room was beautiful with a great view. The bathroom wasn't so good, sink kept blocking. The room service was OK. I really liked the location. To be honest, it was so convenient. The room service was super fast, and the food was nice. There were also restaurants and bars downstairs, of course gaming area was absolutely fun The pool and spa was very relaxing nice sitting area with kids to play around as well. We enjoy it and recommend it

Visited the Bars and Gaming area with friends on a night out and found the atmosphere friendly if not a little overwhelming from the gaming activity. Drinks were good with prices at the higher end. Super friendly staff with fabulous customer service offered by all that we dealt with. Music in bar areas was upbeat and created a positive vibe. The view leaving the establishment at night was spectacular.

It was such a great night by us girls on the lawn. The venue caters well for the crowds. Plenty of seating, with shade if needed. The food trucks served really fresh plates of different foods. Perfect for a drink and dinner with friends. Live entertainment kept the happy vibe going.

Stayed here a number of times and we always have a good time. Everything from the restaurants, pools, casino, sovereign room & oasis room, bars and theater are all great. Rooms are standard and comfortable, but the beds are WAY too soft. Staff are friendly, we had a couple of runs ins with security at the casino entrance because of our American vaccination cards as my husband and I moved here in January, some of them would tell us they weren't accepted, some said they were (it changed every time we were there, consistency would have been nice) - thank goodness that's all done and over with. But for the most part they were helpful and nice about it.

Great rooms, friendly staff and well priced. Big shout out to the friendly girl who serviced our room. She was lovely! Only thing that needs improving - you wait a long time for the lift, at times. Very enjoyable stay!

Amazing venue and experience for anyone wanting to try their luck. I can't really comment on the service from staff apart from cashiers as I didn't have much interaction with the staff. But overall the service quality I experience was great. Location is absolutely astonishing, the outside lights and views were amazing to experience at night. Even if you aren't there to visit the casino the bars/sports bars are tremendous and there's plenty on offer. I would definitely recommend visiting 10/10

This is very central to where you want to be on the GC. Staff are courteous and quick to fix little issues smartly and with no fuss. Rooms are clean, really clean. We didn't get to the casino downstairs and only stayed the 1 night. The bed was comfortable as was the pillows. More then enough room in the shower and spacious counter. Nice touches are the auto dim lights at night that come on when you enter the bathroom. Glimpses of the ocean and other buildings around gave a great view. Location is perfect and we would definitely stay again. Thanks to the concierges and staff!

Absolutely amazing place to stay. Staff are very accommodating and friendly. Pool and bar area are very nice. However they are quite pricey. Wish the hotel restaurant opened earlier as would be nice to have breakfast around the pool.

Really nice spot. In a good central part of town. Good view, even from half way up the building. The on-site facilities were sufficient. The rooms were well stocked. The kitchen didn't have an ice tray 👎. Room service was $70 onto of the $730 cost per night. What is the $730 for if it doesn't even cover room service? Otherwise, it was pretty good 👍

The room’s interior design was nice. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, most of them are pretty average. Kiyomi and the Nineteen At the Star were quite nice. The room service breakfast was excellent. The pool at the leisure deck was heated & very pleasant. The Grand pool was a bit average. The gym was well equipped. There was no bath tub in our room. Good quality towels were provided though. The bed was also comfortable. The online hotel services were useful. Overall, it was a good stay. I wouldn’t say it was the best though. Thank You

It's one of my favourite experiences, I'd recommend coming here, the rooms were so nice. It was supper luxurious. The view was so nice with an overview of the city. There is a nice range of food here, and I'd recommend just trying it. I never went to the casino, but if there is a next time. I'd definitely go.

What a place! This entire area here in Broadbeach on the Gold Coast Australia is amazing! So beautiful and scenic. This casino district is immense with endless amount of entertainment. A few hotels connect to each other and there’s the mall across the street. No shortage of things to do.

Nice sized room. Lifts from hotel to car park can be a little confusing if you get into the wrong one. Good location, Within walking distance to pacific fair. Staff are lovely, very helpful. Quite a few restaurant options however, door book a table at them as they fill up quickly.

This has become one of my cherished experiences, and I wholeheartedly suggest paying a visit. The rooms were exceptionally pleasing, exuding an air of opulence. The panoramic view of the city was truly remarkable. The culinary offerings were diverse and delightful, making it a definite must-try. Although I didn't have the chance to explore the casino this time around, I'm inclined to give it a go on a potential return visit.

I’ve been a member with the star for a while now and I just want to take note on the attention to detail with the service provided by Trace (Room Service/Cleaner). Was so kind and had nice conversations making our stay feel so much more comfortable. Cleaned the room up very well and stayed on task 100% of the time. Had a good talk with her as well and thought she was hilarious. Thank you so much Trace

What a lovely hotel. We had a room with a balcony that had ocean views. It's not directly on the beachfront - but it still offers lovely views. Having the casino in the same building is great. We popped in and out when we felt like having a little flutter on the gaming floor. Hotel room was immaculate - and the turn down service was an added bonus. Staff at check in were so lovely. Thanks Star. We will be back 🥰

Booking direct through their website, we got a great deal on a 2 bedroom apartment (Star Residences) for 8 nights. The apartment was spacious and well appointed (full kitchen, laundry, bathroom, balcony). Fantastic staff who were welcoming and very helpful. Hotel amenities were excellent: many great restaurant options inside the venue, bars, x4 swimming pools, close walk to Pacific Fair shopping centre (<10mins) and the beach(<15mins). Being a Star member (free from reception) gave us a bunch of vouchers to be used at restaurants, bars, spa, etc. Also a discount/points on most purchases in the complex, as well as the casino, when using swiping the membership card. There is some construction of a new apartment block on the sight, which some people may find unappealing, however we found it only disturbed us once or twice during our stay.

We had an amazing stay at the Star. Great location, very accessible and amazing views from the rooms. Overall it is a happening property with a lot to do and many options to eat from. We lived on level 20 and had great views. The staff is great and very welcoming, but some new staff didn't know what they were doing. The executive lounge was a great add on to our stay at the Star Grand. We stayed for about 3 nights and enjoyed every bit of it.

Very clean & comfortable rooms. Staff were great and helpful. The parking arrangements need to be addressed, not very good. We wanted to have a celebration bottle of wine with our friends, however there was no common area to do this. Pool deck was closed.

Stayed here and the nicest part is the pool area. Music is too loud so could do with a tune down. The casino is extremely busy on the weekend which was a let down in our experience. The harvest buffet breakfast was great and lots to choose from although the egg was not nice and cold! There was only one man making omelette and a line and wait of approx 15 minutes. In a busy period or weekend as such they should have 2 chefs making these. The room itself was clean. Bed comfortable. Service was done everyday and bottles of water added which was nice and new towels. It’s a great location and the pool area was the winner. If it wasn’t for that I would have chose a more quieter hotel than the star. Large selection of restaurants available also. Would go back on a quieter period on a special deal not full price.

Staying at The Star was a refreshing and relaxing time! My partner and I stayed for 2 nights in a Superior King room, which was very spacious, and the bed was like a cloud! The bathroom was a little small, and a bathtub would have been great but overall a nice room with amazing view of West GC. Harvest buffet was nice with plenty of food on offer. Staff were all friendly and attentive, location great also with plenty close by in Broadbeach! Thank you for a great stay.

Great experience at the 5 stars hotel. A lot of delicious restaurants but my pick is chinese restaurant. The bed is so comfy, I could sleep more than 12 hours there. We had good view from the room. Automatically controlled lights and blinds were so convenient. Broadbeach is just about 10 mins walk

Great rooms but terrible noise isolation. Can hear neighbours' doors, people walking/talking outside, and cleaners vacuuming extremely clearly. Bathrooms are comically tiny and bathtubs too shallow. Like it's half the depth of a normal tub. What.

Had to validate parking tickets everytime we left the car park despite having paid for parking for the whole 5 nights we stayed. Room sink didn't drain well. Drained very slowly and collected water. It was disgusting. Commode was very low. Would be too low for some to sit on. Small bathroom.

I stayed on the top floor of the 53rd floor and quickly went up to the elevator. It was a little uncomfortable to find a parking lot, but everything else is satisfying. The outlook was especially good. At first, I was a little scared because I felt the shaking, but it got better soon. It's noisy because another tower is under construction in front of it. The night view is nice, but the sunrise and sunset are pretty. The bed is comfortable and cozy. Two rooms, two bathrooms, one living room. I'm satisfied.

Stayed at The Star Gold Coast for 2 nights, the view from the room was really nice. The service was also great, we asked for extra soap, shampoo, and conditioner, which were delivered in no more than 10 minutes after we called the reception desk. However, the cleanliness should be improved, found a small spider near the bed and also a small tree branch(?) near the television.

The best starcation ever, with my perks as an employee I had discount on every restaurant. Me and my family enjoyed the holiday experience at The Star, the food were great and the hospitality of the staff was amazing. Proud to be a team member.

I would never stay there again. Considering it's a 24hr casino, there's only 1 Cafe with limited food choices after 10pm. Events took too long to start the main event. Leaving there was like being in a busy city train station stairs where everyone needs to get out at the same time. Only 4 lifts for over 50 levels of apartments. Checkout you can wait 1/2 hour to get a lift. Parking on-site is $60 per night. Or park at the Convention centre across the road and cart your luggage yourself. The accommodation was very nice and terrific views, however not worth the bad experience of the whole "Star" casino.

The rooms are nice but no room service so we saw lots of people ordering Uber Eats which was a bit odd. Pool definitely packed at peak hours but fun and inviting. Service at front desk is average, don't expect a happy welcome!

Great facility. Heaps of kids throughout the entire place which is surprising for a Casino. Service wasn’t great, we often had to chase up our room turnover. The restaurants are excellent.

Love staying at The Star. It’s in a great location in Broadbeach and just next door to the amazing Pacific Fair Shopping Centre. Everything is just a short walk including the beach. The rooms are really nice and the restaurants superb. Especially the Japanese restaurant Kiyomi. The pool is one of the best too.

In one word, incredible. A couple of problems getting into the room but the reception clerk escorted us back to the room to make sure everything was OK. Amazing location. Out the front door and you're at the casino and across the road to plenty of shops, restaurants and places for a drink. 2 blocks from the amazing beach. The view was indescribable and completely silent at night despite all the hassle and bustle going on just a few floors down.

400m to the beach and close to Pacific fair. Room was small, but functional. - Couldn't get the TV casting to work properly (apple & android). + Nice that there is a pod espresso machine provided. - Rooms are only serviced if you request it. + Wifi is good. - Parking is extra $ + Breakfast buffet is good.
