Although they are right next to a big mall and there is whole bunch of free parking in the area, but they charge you 30 dollars per night for parking for no good reason. (And they are not upfront about the parking charges and the surprise would appear later in your credit card statement, so be aware )👎 Rooms are just ok but not well maintained, from missing door lock plate to broken shower, they had it all. Breakfast is fine but again, broken machines and if they run out of something their employees are really slow to replenish it.

Just don't stay here. Not even worth using Marriott points for this property. We booked a room, upon arrival we were told the room will be ready in 30 min. Decided to leave our luggage and head to the city. Returned at 10 pm after a full day in the city. Room was still not ready, took them 25 min to get us into a room. Breakfast - pitiful is a compliment. Arrived at 8:15, buffet was empty, no eggs, no yogurt no coffee no milk no bread. Ask the lady at the kitchen and she said she is sorry but they ran out of everything. I should come at 7am tomorrow.... I really think this is the worst Marriott experience ever. Staff kept apologizing but didn't solve any of the issues.

Stayed here as an overnight before continuing our vacation. The first room we were given, the entry card would not work and after three times going back to the lobby and comparing they switched us to a different room. The second room we were put in had serious health violations. The carpet was frayed and in such disrepair that the carpet tack board with rusty nails was exposed. As someone with children, I was not happy with these arrangements. Furthermore, the bathroom sink stopper plunger was not functional so the sink would be perpetually in the closed position causing the sink to fill every time we used it with no way to drain it. The dishes in the cabinet were dirty. We requested to be placed into another room. Finally on the third room, an hour and a half later we were put into a room that was acceptable. This was not up to the standard we are used to from a name like Marriott. Do better. (See photos)

If you’re visiting New York and want a decent place to stay, this is a FANTASTIC location for a great price. Without realizing how close this hotel is to a bus stop and mall, we booked it based on price. It has mini kitchens in the room plus a breakfast buffet in the morning. The hotel is a five minute walk away from the mall and bus stop. Not only a great location but super friendly staff. Highly recommend for your New York or New Jersey visit!!

Driving up in the shuttle bus, I couldn't tell if this was a Marriott property. Inside, I still couldn't tell. This place is tired as I wrote to management. Banged up furniture, threadbare carpet, rusty, and chipped bathtubs. Service was often rude. And they had a breakout of Legionaires Disease that prompted a letter to me following my stay to inform me. Close to the airport? Yes. Recommended? Heck no.

Elevators were not working for weeks. Cable tv stations were unavailable for weeks. Staff was wonderful given what they were dealing with Fixtures are outdated. The shower curtains need to go. Housekeeping employees were wonderful. A beat up property well due for an update

In walking distance to a mall! This location is one of the best to be at when without a car while traveling. Right off the highway. Across the street from another Marriott and 3 other major branded hotels. Check in was easy and efficient. We were greeted upon arrival. Our platinum elite status was acknowledged upon arrival. Very friendly. Room a very nice size. Was given room 522 first. The door was broken and maintenance were actively fixing it when we walked up. Instead of having us walk back down for a room change they were nice enough to call, give us access to the room next door, get our room changed to 524 , and a new key bought up. Rooms have a full sized refrigerator, pullout bed in couch and a table with chairs. Tv had internet access so we were able to sign in to our Netflix and YouTube accounts. Disappointed that remote did not work - not horrible just inconvenient. We stopped in but they did not have much of a selection. We walked a little further down to the Embassy suites. We were able to get drinks. Hotel has a pretty well stocked continental breakfast to include coffee, juices, fruits, and cereal. I loved that they had cold coffee already ready for those of us in a rush. The hotel has a shuttle that goes to the airport frequently on schedule. We took it and arrived with time to breathe.

(Marriott Ambassador level) Stay for an extended period of time while relocating to the NYC area. Overall our family was very pleased with the stay. Front desk staff was polite and very professional and had a good working knowledge of the Marriott Bonvoy Program. Rooms were a good size.

Elizabeth at the front desk was a fantastic representative of Marriott and Bonvoy. Really cool and very nice. She took care of me during my stay from the literal second I walked in. I plan on staying here again. Great looking rooms, nice staff on the floor, and a beautiful front of house. Thankyou Matthew and Ezekiel for making my stay here so great. You'll be seeing me again - BONVOY FOR LIFE!!

Room has a full kitchen with sink, fridge, stove, dish washer, and microwave. Hotel also provides complementary hot breakfast. Room was clean, and bed was very comfortable.

Stayed for a night. The studio room was good. Breakfast had plenty of options. My only issue was that I couldn't find a courtesy shuttle from the airport, there were no instructions on the hotel website about a shuttle. When I called the hotel, they told me to get on some train and come to a pickup point. Customers new to EWR airport and many luggage items will find it difficult I wish they can pick up from the arrival level near the bus stop or cab pickup. Going from hotel to airport was easy, I asked them to drop me at the departure terminal and they did. The hotel did not have a restaurant, but there is IHOP and Ruby Tuesday at 1 min walk.

I stayed for about 2 month in 2005 with friends, as part of a work and travel programme. It was a great experience and the staff was lovely. It made such an impression on me that I become loyal to the chain afterwards.

I arrived at EWR at 3 am due to a delayed flight. I'm grateful I booked this hotel; the one-bedroom suite is spacious, and the mattress is incredibly comfortable. Thanks to my Marriott membership, I was able to enjoy a late check-out and get a good rest. The breakfast here is also fantastic.

Great location, if have to get in and out of Newark but they constantly overbooked their van for transportation to and from airport, ESPECIALLY in the am when they have 1 van servicing 2 hotels. They have airline crews staying there abd sometimes you have to miss 2 vans because there is not enough capacity for the amount of people. The vans run only every half hour. How can you possibly have everyone sign up fir vans, know the number of people you have needing transportation to the airport and you not be prepared to transport them? Unacceptable!!! The AM front desk manager doesn't seem to care either. We stay there daily, every month and this CONSTANTLY happens. Sad no one cares, all they want is the money.

Location is great, there’s a mall right across the street for food, shopping, drinks & movies. The mall actually had some good options and you can walk to it. You gotta pay for parking at hotel and you get the access code. Close to the Turn Pike to get into main attractions in NYC, which is literally 30 min tops without traffic. Rooms have a four star because it’s just kinda stuffy vibes and views ain’t great but clean and sufficient enough to be what we paid for & room service is polite and respectful. Kid friendly.

Overall stay was okay. Stayed here for two nights with points. (arrived late on Friday night and left early Sunday morning) It is extremely easy to get to from EWR. We took an Uber, but they have an airport shuttle as well. Getting to Manhattan is relevantly easy/affordable with another Uber (or longish walk) and the train. Hotel itself is okay. It is a tad dated but isn't bad. Our room could've been cleaner. The floor in the bathroom was dirty and there was a bar of soap left from the previous occupants in the shower. Breakfast was fine and about on-par with other Residence Inns. Fire alarm went off at 5am after we arrived late the previous night. It was very annoying, but I don't fault the hotel for that. Overall, this hotel wouldn't be first hotel I look at next time I need to stay near the airport, but I also wouldn't be upset if I ended up here again.

It took an hour to check in. I had a voucher from United as my flight was delayed, the lady at check in was completely baffled by this. As I waited the lobby had a constant and interesting procession of characters wandering through with a strong and pervasive odor of weed. Not sure if this is used as a homeless shelter? When I finally got a room they refused to take my Marriott bonvoy number and wouldn't honor the United meal vouchers. Breakfast was pretty pitiful, the only semi-edible thing I found was the oatmeal. The room want bad except the toilet kept running through the night every few minutes. Probably won't go back☹️

Stayed here because I missed my United flight. Shuttle from P4 was convenient and hotel is about a 10 minute drive away. Don’t know if it was the 2 days of terrible flights but I have never slept better. Clean room, warm shower, comfortable bed. Breakfast was pretty good too. Would stay here again if I missed my United flight.

No pool, out of date photos, no afternoon social, all these things were on their site, updated last week. The staff is awesome. Hotel is starting to show some wear.

Pros: -good breakfast -good quality building -quiet area Cons: -poor management. We specifically requested our room be cleaned today and we returned back from a full day just for the room to not be cleaned. The front desk apologized, but, it’s a clear sign they did not communicate well with housekeeping. -the entire building’s smoke alarms went off at 5:30am, which disrupted our sleep -the surrounding area is sketchy, and there’s no where to walk to other than the mall. I will not be staying here again mostly due to management.

This hotel is disgusting and smelled everywhere you’d walk. Ricardo on their staff was the rudest human being, I genuinely can’t comprehend why he’s in a customer service/hospitality position. Also they offer laundry services that use quarters and when I’d go to the front desk to exchange cash for quarters they conveniently would be completely out of quarters that day. Overall just don’t stay here it’s not worth your time and money!

Standard room just like every Residence Inn. Very nice hotel front staff. However, the hotel itself is noisy, airplanes, port noises, cars, and truck driving by noises.. you name it. Restless night. :( Also, there were pet hairs, funky restroom smells inside the room 119.

A nice hotel but while it appears and acts like a 4 star property, it's only a 3 star in my view. We didn't see the pool but the room had pealing paint from a leak above and poorly painted walls. A scraping sound from the heating system fan that was clearly a cry for attention. Bad coffee in-room but otherwise okay. A decent breakfast is included!! A nice mattress good kitchenette, big fridge and tv. Front desk staff were very helpful, everyone there was friendly. With more help from ownership the staff could easily bump this place up to 4 stars, it just needs building maintenance. Hire a few more people for that department, I believe they'd be happy with that.

Extremely nice and helpful staff! The hotel is located close to the airport and they have airport shuttle service, so it's a great place to stay for if you have a flight to catch. The kitchen doesn't have an oven, only a 2 burner cook top. Otherwise, it a nice hotel and I would stay there again.

Spacious rooms and updated lobby, I think they need to invest money into updating their rooms, TV in the living room dosen't work, the air vents are dirty, the bathrooms can also be more cleaned as well, they also need to update their beds,I travel alot as a travel nurse and I usually stay at marriott properties when I travel and this by far has not met my expectations, no breakfast left at 8am in the morning, I am constantly awakened by the noise of planes taking off and landing, there should be a discounted rate for those who have rooms where they can constantly hear noise from these airplanes, when you ask for a different room, they'll tell you they are sold out. Oh and another thing they won't tell you until check in is there's a $27 daily parking fee, where do they do that at? Not impressed at all.

Time for some upgrades. Facility is a tad run down with towels hard to get in the gym, carpets need cleaning, and limited offerings. Though the staff is super helpful and friendly. If like me, you enjoy the Breakfast buffet, you will be disappointed. They have various microwaveable boxed breakfasts but the buffet isn't available.

Noisy; airport flight path? Train next to property. Fitness center: 1 of 2 treadmills working, free weights? Gone.. no 30, 35, 50 Old building, out dated.

  • 1/5 Matthew W. 2 years ago on Google
This hotel is great if you want to stay up all night listening to jet airplane engines roaring for takeoff! Unlike all other Residents Inn's this one's idea of breakfast is a cardboard box with a microwaveable sandwich inside. They are still claiming Covid so they can rip off customers!

Great place to stay, very close to the EWR airport, so if you have to catch an early morning flight - easier to commute. They also have a very good shuttel service to n from airport. The rooms are very clean and breakfast is good. Hotel staffs are also very caring and good.

The staff were INCREDIBLY friendly here. They even gave us a goody bag with treats and a warm chocolate chip cookie when we arrived! And the complimentary breakfast was above-average compared to other places we've stayed. This hotel was also the most straight-forward way I could find to park/leave a car at a hotel and get shuttled to the Cape Liberty cruise port. I got the "Park & Cruise" package and am very glad I did! REGARDING THE CRUISE SHUTTLE: William the driver was exceptional! He did a terrific job and went above and beyond to take excellent care of us. We felt very safe with him and were impressed by all the subtle ways he knew to care for customers well. He also made us laugh--we really enjoyed our drive with him and had so much peace of mind knowing he'd be waiting to pick us up when we returned from our cruise! When we got back, he was already there and ready to help load our bags. Thanks, William! :)

Pet fee is extra $150+ tax. Same price with the room. Thing is there is no extra service or facility for your pet. But just double price. You can find the dog day care or over night pet care service less than $ 80 near this hotel. Q So if you looking for the hotel, stay with your pet. This is not the place spend your money. Not worthy.

Welcome to New Jersey! Smells like weed farm. Found drugs right by the entrance. Good time are not here. Small gym. Near the shopping mall where you can get some food and shopping done.

After a super long day of travel and flight cancellations we stumbled upon this hotel after our original hotel did not have any water. We were greeted by Beverly who was extremely kind and helpful. Beverly was able to book us a room large enough to accommodate our family of six. Thankful for such a kind, generous, helpful woman after such a long day. Our stay was comfortable, clean, breakfast was delicious and now we continue our travels.

This hotel is a 7-10-minute ride from the airport on the complimentary shuttle. There are a couple of restaurants just outside the hotel parking lot, otherwise the mall is a short walk with more food options. There is a daily hot breakfast in the lobby. The staff was inviting and got me checked in quickly. The room was clean and a junior suite setup with no partition. The bed was comfortable and the linens were soft. The bathroom was clean as well and had a shower tub combo Amenities: -Free Wi-Fi -No pool -Fitness room -Full kitchen -BBQ grill -Laundry -Free hot breakfast

Overall, this is a good hotel. The employees are friendly and the rooms are comfortable. The hotel is a bit dated, but it doesn't detract from the experience. Parking is $24 per day.

The staff was great but the entire 5th floor smells like weed. It was so bad I booked a room at a Hilton down the road on my second night in NJ. Do not stay at this hotel!

We paid for a Queen room and the bed was not 60×80!! The rest of the furniture was TOO big for the room. The TV swiveled but hit the wall and blocked the thermostat. We a Titanium and this is the room they choose to give us! The breakfast was a sad array of packaged foods. The 2 hot items (still packaged) were a small waffle and an in house made bagel with some kinda egg and cheese and sauce mix on it. Which all stuck to the rapper anyway. Staff was friendly and location is good.
