👍👍 I was under the impression that this museum was free (the google question and answer people said it was free and donations were accepted). 2 adults and 1 three year old we paid $12 not bad and completely worth it. My son had so much fun. The person in charge there gave us a brief history on the muse... People often mention fire, museum, great, Mike, tour, trucks, visit, Dallas,

I was under the impression that this museum was free (the google question and answer people said it was free and donations were accepted). 2 adults and 1 three year old we paid $12 not bad and completely worth it. My son had so much fun. The person in charge there gave us a brief history on the museum. He was so nice. There’s jackets and helmets for kids to put on and you can get on some of the fire engines. It was a experience. I highly recommend this place specially for little ones.

This was such a fun experience. The man that worked here was so knowledgeable and kind. I really enjoyed seeing all of these fire trucks especially the horse drawn carriage fire truck. The tickets were $6 each which is a deal for this experience!!!

This was our first visit to the Dallas Firefighters Museum. I brought my daughter and 9yo son with me on this visit. I was a little worried that my 9yo would get bored easily and loose interest, but that never happened. We were all fully engaged and found the entire visit educational and entertaining. Upon entering the building, we were warmly greeted by two former Firefighters. We paid the entry fee and signed the visitors book. Mike, also a former Firefighter, was our tour guide. He started the tour in the photo room area where he told us a few quick stories about some of the photos on the walls. He then took us inside where we were able to see and touch lots of artifacts and learn the stories behind them. It was fantastic! The entire tour was only my kids and I, so we felt like we received the VIP/Red Carpet experience. As we moved on to each section, Mike stopped and asked us if we had any questions, which we always did. Mike was very patient with us and extremely knowledgeable about everything we were looking at. The stories he told us were fun and interesting, he was fantastic with my 9yo son. 1/2 way through the tour, Mike took us into the theatre where we watched a cute kid friendly film on fire safety. This film was also a reminder to me of some things I do wrong in my own home such as overloading a power outlet. It also reminded me to sit down with my family to come up with a fire escape plan for our home. I highly recommend the Dallas Firefighters Museum because it’s a great look at our past, as well as a brief look into what FireFighters go through to protect us and keep us safe. I give Mike 5 Stars because he is a great educator and did a great job keeping the tour fun, interesting, hands on, and engaging. The fact that he was able to even keep my 9yo engaged earns him another 5 Stars! We spent a couple hours here with Mike, and I could’ve listened to him all day. Thanks Mike! I highly recommend you check them out. There is something for everyone here. They have some future plans to expand the museum. It’s exciting to see how they will grow. We will be back again in the future.

This is a great place to take kids young and old. The curators show how the stations were run in the 1900. Then how they have changed through time, wow. There is a lot of vintage fire trucks and equipment. Tell Buba hi when you drop by.

I checked the website to see that they were open. I parked about a mile away at an EV charger and walked that mile to get there. The sign on the door said "open" and the door was unlocked. I walked in and was greeted with "what are you doing here?" and then told they were closed. Not a very nice way to treat out-of-town guests who went to all the trouble to visit.

Intresting museum. I wish they had more staff when I went in the morning to give some additional information. Overall, this one isn't as good as the San Antonio Fire Museum. That one had more artifacts and vehicles.

I went with my son on a weekday and he really enjoyed it! He sat in an old fire truck, wore old gear, and got to sound the fire alarm. We learned a lot and had a great tour guide!

I don't know how many times I've been by this place and thought to myself, "I need to go check that out." Well, I finally did and it did not disappoint. This is a place that will wow young and old. The docent is a retired firefighter. His dad served in Dallas. He and his son in the near south DFW suburbs. Friendly and informative.

The man at the front counter was extremely friendly and did his best. I have a 6 year old and a 4 year old that didn’t really care much for the history. They sat in the fire trucks and took pics then we went upstairs to see a video already playing but it was about fire safety so they also didn’t care for that. We were there for about 15 min and left. It was ok given the price paid to enter.

My Stepdad is a retired Captain of an Irving Fire Station, so myself and my children have great memories of this. Going to visit the inside of an Historical Dallas Firestation in the City I am from was pretty awesome. It was interesting to see how the different decades operated for emergency fire response. They used to have the original fire hose steam truck pulled by horses! Original fire pole still there as well. Good visit where ypu can actually walk around and go upstairs and look at every thing.

This museum is great for the whole family and the workers are very friendly and willing to answer the questions of a 6 year old and adults alive. It is definitely worth your time and money.

Great place for a toddler birthday party. They get to climb on the engines, and the party room is huge! Only thing to keep in mind is that the museum is still open to the public even if you have the space scheduled for a party.

It was a fun experience, our son loved looking at all the memorabilia. The ticket price were affordable! About $20 for two adults and one child.

Just had our son’s 2nd birthday party here. Perfect place for a small group (7 adults and 5 kids under 5). All the kids had a blast playing on the fire trucks and the adults enjoyed the tour. Highly recommend for small children interested in fire trucks and firemen!

We took our 2 year old to the Dallas Firefighters Museum today and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Our son loved it and is now sleeping clutching his fireman's hat. Our guide was incredibly informative and you could tell he was very passionate and proud of his and many others service (as he well should be!). We will be back soon and hope to see him again. Highly recommend checking out this museum!
