Unquestionably delight every visit or pick up from this restaurant, I have frequented this establishment for past 2-3 years. I find the staff and owner who always prioritize the order and the chef provides upmost ingredients for each piece of sushi. I am glad to say I can recommend my fellow Neightbors for this gem.

Great food! I'm vegetarian and I usually have a hard time finding food I like to eat at different places but .... just awesome!

We tried this place for the first time. I would give it a one star. The place had so many ants under one of the back tables. The dishes were not cleaned properly. They service you with to-go trays instead of regular dishes while dining in.. It looks run down Then the quality of fish is poor. The rolls tasted old. My whole family was sick a few hours after eating the meal. We will not be returning.

Have been living in HP for 2 years now, Midori is HANDS DOWN the best sushi around. Lived in Brooklyn for 30 years with some of the best sushi spots in the northeast— Midori holds its own. Get the amazing roll

Great tasty food. First time eating sushi like this. Will come again. First bite of my girls dish forgot wat it was tasty the sticky rice was so good but the sushi nori I didnt like (at first) Season and spices was just right. My Crispy Spicy Lobster Roll (picture) was the best everything was to the T. For what we ordered though came out to be very expensive though over $50 bucks for two dishes and Fried Egg Rice. Probably better to get a Party Tray. My girl enjoyed it and that all that mattered and so did I. Will try just about everything on the menu.

I ordered online for pick up some sushi rolls with a side of Mayo. By the time I’m ready to eat my rolls I realize they gave me salad dressing instead of spicy Mayo. The rolls are delicious but I really wanted spicy Mayo to truly enjoy my rolls. I couldn’t go back because I went during my lunch break. I would order again just next time will have to check the bag before I leave.

Good sushi, and entrees. Service was a bit slow but overall a nice experience. Would recommend.

I love this place and this is my go to place when I am craving sushi! Midori sushi is one of the best known restaurants in Highland Park and for good reason, their food is great! I have been to a few more Japanese restaurants and I think Midori sushi has the best quality. Their menu is reasonably priced and their food is always fresh and tasty. When they had indoor sitting before covid hit, they had a very nice sitting ambiance that was ideal for a date. Overall, great menu, quality and price.

Restaurant very inconsistent for delivery. One day they answer, next day unavailable. But they love charging your credit card.

TLDR: a bit pricy but very good sushi. Make sure you order from Midori in Highland Park. If you’re ordering from an app (DoorDash, ubereats etc) they will deliver from their chain location closest to your address (there’s another Midori in Piscataway). Make sure you get it from the Highland Park location - it IS better and DOES taste more fresh. Their spicy tuna roll is amazing, I sit here and daydream about it because I don’t live close anymore

the lunch special is a really good deal. i’ve tried this place multiple times now and it’s always been good i recommend it. the service is fast. i will surely be back

Stopped off with my daughter just after lunch. they are still pretty much delivery or takeout. Dine in is is sitting at their table with takeout food. We just had rolls and they were good. Little variations from usual. The peanut avocado roll with sweeten peanuts was unique and very tasty. The amazing roll is a spicy tuna & avocado roll wrapped in thin slices mango and topped with tobiko. The mango added a sweet fresh note which I really enjoyed, but kept sliding off. I would order both again The service was fast and efficient, but not overly friendly. Next time I will go with takeout.

This place is one of our favorites and we've been coming here for many many years. Great sushi, reasonable price, good service and just 10 mins from where we live. The special rolls are great, but there are times I just simply enjoy their no-frills spicy tuna and salmon rolls on the go! We have also taken out their party trays for family gatherings and such multiple times; all our friends and family love them and they never disppoint!

This is definitely the place you want to go for a great sushi though this town has a lot of awesome sushi spots this one was the first place I've ever tried sushi and has a special place in my heart. All the classics are good and the sushi is definitely always fresh.

Highway robbery! This is an edited review because this place has gone downhill. We ordered three hibachi dinners totaling almost $100. We received a small tub filled with carton tasting noodles, a few pieces of steak and 3 pieces of overcooked shrimp. The flavor was non existent. Terrible customer service They are completely inflexible, my son wanted to switch the noodles for fried rice and they said they absolutely couldn’t do that. A restaurant charging $30 for a few bits of protein should be able to accommodate such easy request or at least give you the option to pay a small difference. Most restaurants have some flexibility to make customers happy. It would have cost them nothing to make the switch but instead they saw it as an opportunity to up-charge. I still like their rolls, they have a very good lunch special. I will probably order from them again but it will most likely be the lunch special rolls. I am sorry for leaving such bad review, I know the struggles of a small business but ripping customers off is not ok. Previous review: The food is very tasty. The sushi is super fresh. They have a great lunch special. They did not get a give star review because the dinner portions are expensive and very small .

We ordered our food and the order was accurate and timely Taste was great and fresh. Presentation was as good as it could be. We really enjoyed our dinner and can't wait try it again!
