Hidden gem! This is a real Cuban eatery. The special Cubano (cubita cubano) was delicious! The coffee was super fresh. Finally the staff hooked us up with a dessert from a secret menu. 🤐

I had the everything bagel empanada, and guava shake and it was amazing! The girl behind the counter, and the chef were very friendly and welcoming too. 10/10 will definitely be ordering more!

This place is very good! Loved the environment and the food. I ordered empanadas and some sandwiches just to try and I wasn’t disappointed. Super tasty! I really love the vision of the owner. I’m excited to see this restaurant grow In popularity. The only downside is that since the food is so good, it gets pretty busy at certain times. I’d recommend going at the right time so you don’t have to wait for a table, etc.

Hits the spot for some Cuban classics! Started with the Cafe con leche for a wake up. Nice and strong for sure definitely provided some power. We tried the chicken and beef empanadas. Perfectly crispy and while I enjoyed trying both, if I could go back I would have gotten two beefs. Not because the chicken was bad, but because the beef was that good. Really captures that Cuban beef flavor you think about. We got two sandwiches, the Cuban and the Bistec. First off they are really big; I was impressed with the amount of actual meat in each sandwich. The Cuban was fantastic! Nice crispy bread and a good mesh between the ham and pork. The Bistec was also great! What I liked here was the the meat was tender and ripped apart with each bite well. If you asked me to rank them, I'd go Cuban for the win (to be expected). Another nice touch was the owner being there and being a really nice guy. Clearly cares about the brand and the product. Parking situation is okay because there's a lot in the back (metered, but credit card friendly). Price wise it isn't cheap for sure, but worth the price. Will for sure go again! Overall I give Cubita Cafe a 4.6 out of 5, a must visit!

So glad to finally have this open! All iterations of the cubano are stellar (I've been twice in 3 days I had the Cubita Cubano the first trip and the Cubano Dawg the second and still others to try), the pan de lechon is literally 3 ingredients and insanely flavorful and I can't say enough about the Cubita Cold Brew. I literally get 2 every time I go one when I eat my food and one on the way out. Gus is the man and the staff have been nothing but pleasant. Do yourself a favor and get there ASAP!

This place is dope. The nice woman who was working there was friendly and kind. We traded jokes, she filled my order all while making me feel welcome. I only had breakfast with a couple of croquetas, but it was good enough for me to go back if I'm ever in the area.

Really fun spot — golden hip hop themed complete with Cuban Biggie to great you at the door and CREAM leave some money tip jar 👐🏼. The modern, Cuban vibe can be seen throughout from the empanadas to sandwiches to the cafe con letche! Everything is delicious (you can see my sampling below) which is what you would expect from the owner, famed as the Hudson Chef, who has worked in well known restaurant kitchens from Montclair to Manhattan and appeared on the TV show Chopped. Food I ordered: 2 Breakfast empanadas: everything bagel x taylor ham 2 Classic empanadas: Beef & Cuban A Cuban Sandwich Cafe con letche All 💯

¡Mmm… que delicioso! Tried this new empanada joint and it did not disappoint. I had an amazing Cuban sandwich and my kids tried the beef & cheese empanada and bacon, egg, & cheese empanada (yes, you read that right) and a mango shake. My littlest is a picky eater and even SHE was mmming and loving her food. We couldn’t resist trying the Oreo empanadas for dessert. They were ridiculous! The owner was super friendly and it has a cool ambience (can’t beat a Biggie mural on the wall). Loved every bite & looking forward to going back.

I’m opening a new restaurant up the street and wanted to check out the rest of the block on an empty stomach. Walked by and saw these beautiful little empanadas in the window. Figured they would ease my hunger pains for the time being. Grabbed 3 and boy were these little guys deceiving. Hands down the best empanadas I ever had. The chicken was unbelievably juicy and the sauces were amazing ! I also got the chorizo and egg which was also good and a sweet guava and cheese to finish them off ! I will definitely be back to try the coffee and more empanadas of course !

I went in not knowing what to expect and I got to meet the owner and I could feel the passion he brings to his food before I even had one bite. He is a master at his craft and his use of flavor profiles and fresh ingredients is why his food is so good

Love the atmosphere in this place! The oxtail empanada was out of this world! The MOJO fries were really good but a little heavy on the Seasoning, a light sprinkle would have went a long way. We also had the pan con bistec.. it was good.. different from what I'm used to getting at the cuban restaurants in union city and west ny area but not bad. I think it's because the steak was thin like a steak-umm much thinner than bistec.

Wow!!! The Jibarito (plantain sandwich) is DE-LI-CIOUS!!!! Nice small spot, nice decor, clean, hip-hop music not loud and nice staff. May your business continue to blossom. I will definitely return.

The cortadito was great; they prepare an espresso pretty well. Cubita Cuban sandwich (pretty expensive at around 18 bucks) was tasty but not the best I've had. I would of preferred long sliced pickles as opposed to the sort of a relish I got, but maybe I should have gone with the more traditional Cuban on the menu. The other thing was the bread which should have a crunch produced by toasting with the hot plancha (press). The best thing was the everything bacon and egg empanada, not fried but a baked empanada. It was well made, nothing greasy which I might have expected when including real bacon. The egg inside is fluffy, great but i might suggest a soft boiled version or something to get a slightly runny yoke. I give the place a big like, def stop by!

When you first walk through the doors of Cubita Cafe you are warmly welcomed by the upbeat and energetic Chef Gustavo! The Cuban sandwich is a must try. The infamous flick test confirms a crispy crust offering a fantastic crunch followed by sweet and succulent flavors that ignite your pallet! Topped off with a hot, smooth aromatic espresso that only a true Victoria Arduino espresso machine can produce at the hands of truly competent barista, Cubita Cafe hits all the right spots!

The food & coffee is amazing. The empanadas are really good quality. Their breakfast empanada was also surprisingly delicious.. I've had breakfast empanadas before and they don't compare!

For starters I really went to cubita because it was suggested on instagram on my feed and the menu looked very appetizing. The place itself is cute and very welcoming and Im a big fan of cuban sandwiches but sad to say i came out very Disappointed with the food☹️. My friend and I had ordered 2 cuban sandwiches and 2 shakes to go. One was a mango shake and the other mamey but gotta say the only thing we enjoyed was the mango shake because the mamey didn’t taste how it supposed to it had a weird taste nothing like mamey. My friend tried adding more sugar to it but it still wasn’t pleasant to drink. Regarding the sandwiches they were plain the meat was dry the only thing making it moist was the butter and the cheese. I was truly looking forward to it all tasting banging for what they were worth. Keep in mind that in just 4 things we paid around $50 almost a two person meal at a restaurant or less for it at a deli. If I am being honest my friend is entitled to get a refund at this point. We usually don’t ever do this or go out of our way asking this if what we paid was worthwhile. Im sorry but I was really hoping you guys met our expectations.

I came here after an intense workout looking for a smoothie shop. I got to enjoy Cuban food instead. Great experience with the man in front. Only thing better than his service was the food. Juicy, flavorful and filling. I will definitely be back again.

Wow, delicious!!! Probably the best Cuban sandwich I have ever had. It’s so fresh and tasty. Absolutely delicious. I think my family and I will surely be going here and I’ll tell all my coworkers. What a great spot!!!!

I found this place just driving by so I thought I’d give it a shot, and I have no regrets! The coffee is divine! The first bite into the Cuban Sandwich was a burst of flavor. At first I wasn’t sure how I felt but I kept taking more bites because even though it was different then most Cubans I’ve had the taste of garlic worked! The bread was a perfect medium between crisp yet soft. A plus is the sandwich was not oily at all. I’ve found my new favorite spot!

This place was very awesome, Gus was an extremely nice and welcoming guy. He served us breakfast empanadas and insanely delicious coffee. The everything seasoning breakfast empanadas were THE best morning empanadas I’ve had in the area; and I would order that cold brew any day of my life. 10/10 experience will go there again 😎

I have been coming here since they opened two years ago. I love the hip hop vibes inside as well as the staff that works there. Always welcoming and accommodating-even with my picky kids. If you’re lucky-the owner will be experimenting with new recipes and you will get to try some! Cant go wrong with the Cuban sandwich and my kids love the bacon egg and cheese empanada and beef and cheese empanada!
