The environment is cozy. They set time limit on the all-you-can-eat and we find it to be quite sufficient. Ordering from the premium menu has quantity limitation as well, we also find that to be generous. Food is fresh and served fast. Taste and quality both great. The robot is cute and can sing happy birthday song if a birthday celebration is requested. The birthday person receives one scoop of ice cream with a candle. Overall it was a great experience.

Very very fresh and tasty sushi and sashimi place. Excellent ambience and service. We got the all you can eat sushi menu. Every item on the menu is eclectic. They had pork bun , beef bun , fried scallops and some pretty unique salads. The meat and sea food is premium quality. The decor of the restaurant is also very good. It is also BYOB which is definitely a plus. They also have a robot which is pretty cool. Best sushi buffet around this area!!

Fantastic authentic Japanese cuisine and experience. Great customer service from start to finish. Everything was fantastic, only downside to the evening was the hostess not giving my buddy her phone number…..burn 😑

Shout out to Jaden who was an amazing server. We went out for my birthday and had a great experience. The environment was what really made me happy: great vibes and great music. Everyone was so friendly. Besides all that, the sushi was great.

Favorite local sushi spot! All you can eat is always so good. Note: If you’re halal observing just make to ask the soup base of the miso soup, got mixed messages if it was veggie or pork based

I like the ayce option they have. Tbh, $30 bucks for the whole menu is very promising (just make sure you eat your money's worth). The service, however, is pretty mediocre. They serve you on time once or twice and then don't get ur items correctly or attend to your table for a long amount of time (nearly 20-30 minutes). I understand it might be the rush, so I recommend coming during off times so that you don't get stuck in the rush hour. The stir fry udon was really good and the kani salad was addicitve, and I recommend everyone trying it.

It was SO good and it's so cute here! The atmosphere is chill and cozy. It's BYOB and there is street parking or pay for parking nearby. I went with a few friends and it was a great time. Definitely recommend!! It was just expensive, a little hard to get a hold of our waiters and the tea was pretty expensive, parking too! Fried scallops were amazing, we tried so many things and every single one was amazing the rock shrimp too is a must try. Will come back!

One of the best sushi I’ve ever had. I didn’t expect to have that great quality of service and food especially if it’s all you can eat sushi. The food was so fresh. You can tell from the seaweed salad, it was so fresh and tasty. Big portions so be prepared to eat a lot. The service was beyond excellent. Our server Sanny was very nice and didn’t stop coming asking us if we need anything every while. All of that for just $28.99 per person. I would definitely come back and bring friends 🥰

Absolutely amazing! The place is very nice, the staff are super friendly and the food is delicious. I love that you have all can eat: tasty food, quickly service and good price as well. Also, a cute robot service :) I am definitely going back.

Expected more delicious and good enough for my son’s appetite. FYI, it’s not Tempura. Just filed with Panko. It should order small volume at first. Hot tea was charged except unlimited order service.

Amazing place for dinner with friends in the middle of downtown New Brunswick. Great all you can eat sushi -quality of the fish and other ingredients is nice and fresh. If you don't like sushi, they have a nice assortment of all you can eat cooked foods from the kitchen. Sashimi is premium so there's a limited number (10) of pieces per person, but we didn't feel limited given all the other options. The restaurant itself is very clean and has gorgeous atmosphere. Can't complain about the service since the food came to us quickly after we ordered.

Pretty nice place for sushi. warm ambience. this was our 2nd time visiting Sakana. The only part I disliked was the person over the phone. So I called to make reservation around 3pm Sunday n wanted to make sure 6 ppl can be accommodated without any prb. So I mentioned “6 ppl reservation for lunch” , the lady on the phone was absolutely rude & so mad she said “this isn’t lunch time” in a very harsh manner. she repeated herself thrice and with the same tone, completely ignoring what I’m saying. like what the hell ,lunch or dinner ? Who are you to correct me ? it was my actually lunch time and 100% your nap time ? can’t do your job properly & don’t know how to welcome customers ? Then Don’t take this position .Go some place else, where this attitude is required. anyways! we did end up going there since we were few mins away at that time. Food was good. Kids loved sushi rolls. not the actual sushi(it’s somewhat raw n hard to chew) so we are good with sushi Rolls. Quick, well managed service. Except that one person! So will give two star. Owner/management need to look into this.

I would have given full star if: 1. I didn’t have to wait 30 mins for my 3rd round of order; 2. The other parties weren’t so loud that we had to almost yell at each other; 3. The menu could be more clear and straightforward. Otherwise, sushi/sashimi was fresh and delicious and interior/ambiance was nice.

The food was delicious and made perfectly but what ruined the meal was the waitress. They spoke among themselves loudly near us in Chinese; not expecting us to understand, that they were not happy that we came so close to them closing and that we ordered too much food. Yes we understand that having guests arrive close to closing time sucks but your store don’t close till the time you stated so business must run anyways. As we were ordering, they told us kitchen is closing so if we would want more, please order now and that was before what we ordered first had been made. So obviously, we who arrived hungry and excited to try this location ordered more than what we can finish however, we happily paid the extra money for not finishing the food. Overall; food was awesome and waitresses are disrespectful. Don’t think I would be going again with such disrespectful workers. Just because we spoke English doesn’t mean we don’t speak Chinese (Mandarin).

I mean food it’s eh the service it’s bad I was still eating and they gave me the check without even asking like what if I wanted dessert also they don’t even ask if everything is ok they just ignore you. I wouldn’t recommend it

Giving 5 stars because I really really enjoyed majority of the times I’ve been here for lunch and dinner. Prices are good on weekdays lunch. A little pricy on the weekend but the food is worth it in my opinion. The aesthetic is nice, location is clean, employees are quick and efficient, and the food is usually fantastic. Fresh fish and everything comes out in a timely manner. Love the stir-fry udon, seaweed salad, the bacon wrapped enoki mushrooms are my favorite, and the Naruto roll is so refreshing with the cucumber wrap. I went recently though in November and they are using a different kind of seaweed that is way too chewy and kind of hard. The manager or owner was kind enough to switch out our order for some rolls that didn’t have seaweed. He was pretty great too in trying the seaweed and noting that the premium kind wasn’t as good. Hoping that they will revert to the normal kind so we can come back and enjoy their all you can eat options again! Now for my standard comments. Location is kept very clean. Nice bathrooms, very well kept. Many of the staff members are still wearing masks which is nice.

Wandered into this buffet place one day and was excited to try it out. The interior looks really nice and welcoming with plenty of seating. During the busy hours, I would recommend making a reservation. Upon getting seated, the waiters arrived and explained to us the process since it was our first time there. We were given a paper menu in which we can mark off our selections. We were only allowed to order 3 rounds, and of course, no leftovers can be taken home. We ordered various sushi, salad, crab salad, shrimp tempura, pork katsu, fried chicken, upon noodles, and this enoki mushroom wrapped in bacon. The sushi is standard, not much special to the rolls. The pork katsu and fried chicken was quite bland. The meat was not seasoned at all and rhe sauce can only help so much. Our favorite was the enoki wrapped in bacon. We wanted to order more but we just didn't have room. The portion size of the appetizers, salad and crab salad, are quite small and just enough for 1 person. Definitely not something you can share so just order your own. Overall, friendly staff and extremely quick service. Not sure how the regular food is but the buffet is just ok. Worth a try though due to the ambiance! This place does get quite busy since it's in the heart of downtown New Brunswick.

My apartment is near this place and i go here every week the food is so fresh. 24 dollar for lunch. I wouldn't say it's a cheap price beacuse 18% tips. but it worth. I love sushi, especially salmon roll 😋

Really enjoyed dining in here. They had impressive sushis for considering the US. If you like sushi, I wouldn’t go with all you can eat option because your choice will be fairly limited. If you like a variety including sushi, rolls, fried foods and etc. al la carte would work. My little kids loved their fried rice. They for the first time tried rolls even 😂 This place had a robot server that carries orders (not directly to the table though), which was pretty entertaining. The server could have been kinder and the restaurant does not serve alcohols but you can BYOB.

I absolutely loved this place! Some of the best salmon sashimi I've ever tried, interesting and delicious special rolls, and the AYCE was only $30pp for Friday dinner and came with so many options that I was in heaven! Being able to order tasting portions of teriyaki or shumai or udon easily puts this as my favorite Japanese AYCE, but the sushi was still the highlight of the meal! This is not a joke, I legitimately ate so much sushi that my knees have swollen up too much to stand or walk properly, and I would still come back here and do it all again. Never had this happen to me before, but the biggest pleasures in life require the biggest sacrifices. Only took one picture and only after we devoured two rounds of food, but everything on the menu tasted great (our only dislike was the mango roll, the mango was more like candied than fresh) and even though we had to pay a small leftover fee, we got to take the extra home and it was our own fault for ordering too much so we didn't mind. Can't wait to save up a bit and come back again, just going to start packing a cane when I do.

The food has a descent quality, but the service and how they charge pissed me off and there is no way that I go there anymore. I have tried many different all-you-can-eat sushi places in North East and this place was the only one that charged an additional $3 for each green tea although we payed for all-you-can-eat. Also it was the only all-you-can-eat place that limits the ice cream to one-per-person. Another really bizarre thing they do(which most people do not notice) is that THEY CALCULATE THE TIP ON FOOD+TAX!
