On
July
2nd,
2022,
at
approx
7:06pm,
I
stopped
at
the
Burger
King
in
Highland
Park,
MI
(Woodward
&
Davison)
location. As
I
was
waiting
in
line,
I
noticed
a
homeless
woman
and
man
sitting
under
the
tree
to
the
right of
me,
closest
to
the
Davison
service
drive. I
yelled
over
at
them
and
asked,
"hey
are
you
guys
hungry"?
The
woman
responded,
Yes
Ma'am
we
are
hungry,
with
excitement
in
her
eyes,
she
walked
over
towards
my
car
and
I
told
her
to
get
whatever
they
wanted.
She
asked,
can
we
have
(2)
5.00
dollar
combs
please
with
a
soda?
I
said,
is
that
it?
She
responded,
Yes
ma'am.
Agreeing
to
purchase
those
items,
she
mentioned
that
she
left
her
blanket
at
the
laundromat just
up
the
street
and
the
staff
members
advised
her
that
they
threw
her
blanket
out.
Remembering
that
I
had
a
bag
of
clothes
in
my
trunk,
while
waiting
in
line
to
pay
for
my
food,
I
got
out
of
the
car
to
give
her
the
bag
of
clothes.
The
burger
king
worker
was
extremely
upset.
Told
the
woman
to
get
out
of
here.
I
said
to
the
worker,
no
ma'am,
she
didn't
ask
me
for
anything.
I
offered
those
things
to
her.
With
a
a
frown
upon
her
face,
she
responded
very
rudely
and
said,
"she
ain't
gonna
do
nothing
with
those
clothes
but
throw
them
away,
I
don't
know
why
you
buying
her
food
anyway".
My
total
came
up
to
$30.19.
The
BK
worker
gave
me
my
portion
of
the
food
and
told
the
woman
she
would
have
to
wait
to
get
her
food.
The
worker
told
me,
okay,
you
can
pull
off
now.
As
I
was
pulling
off,
the
homeless
lady
was
grateful
for
the
bag
of
clothes
I
gave
her.
She
went
through the
bag
and
put
on
a
fresh
shirt
as
they
were
waiting
for
their
food.
Though
I
was
going
to
my
own
issues
with
my
car
overheating
in
line,
and
another
vehicle
at
home
in
need
of
an
engine,
I
still
found
the
brighter light
to
bless
someone.
Have
we
lost
all
humility
in
mankind,
that
we
would
be
upset
at
someone
for
performing
a
kind
gesture?
That
BK
worker
doesn't
need
to
be
in
the
service
industry
treating
people
as
if
they
are
less
than
nothing.
Please
address
this
matter
and
pull
the
cameras.
Thank
you!
