Amazing views! A must visit in Edinburgh. There are a few different routes that have different terrain, some easier to navigate than others. Definitely would recommend climbing to the top which can be done in less than 45min without breaks

What a great area so close to the city πŸ€©πŸ€ highly recommended going here when you are a fan of nature and hikes. Cool views from the hill top and just nice ways to explore the surrounding. Was stunned how close it is to the city and how well you can reach it by bus. We combined it with a visit of the Dr. Neil Gardens - also nice to do that

A must see! Only a 20ish minute walk from the center of the Royal Mile. Spectacular views of the city and North Sea. It's also accessible and not too difficult: I was able to the entire park in 3 hours with only sneakers. Rolling grassy hills full of pheasants for those who don't want to walk up to the cliffs. Bring a jacket because it is monstrously windy.

This is a must experience park when you visit Edinburgh. We hiked every hilltop in the park and discovered well marked monuments along the way. The views were spectacular. There are some hard areas to navigate so be prepared with appropriate footwear. Hiking poles are a must for people with mobility issues once you get off the main trail. I did not notice any restrooms while on the trails. Children should be carefully attended to as there are drop offs and strong wind gusts on the hilltops.

Vast land of beauties. Nice place to walk, run, and hike. Rocks might be dangerous to climb. Be careful while climbing or prefer simpler routes. There is many.

What a beautiful park! There are literally over dozen trails for all different levels of hiking abilities. Great view of the cities from above and you don’t have to go all the way to the top (Arthur’s Seat) for a fantastic view. The trail goes around the entire park giving you view of the entire bay beyond just Edinburgh. On a clear sky day, you get a fantastic view. Make sure to wear hiking shoes as I witnessed a hiker fall and slide on a trail that has a lot of pebbles. Also bring water so not to get dehydrated. The trail near the Palace going straight up to Arthur’s Seat seems to be the the route most people take so it gets crowded if you come in the middle of the day. We went clockwise and there were only few people on the trail.

We walked up to watch the New Year's fireworks and were not disappointed! Great views even at night. In the dark, you must have a torch, the path isn't well signposted so it was harder to see compared to having daylight. A few scrambles if you want to also, great. A must do when visiting Edinburgh!

If you can make it up to Arthur's seat, your reward is a breathtaking 360 view! Took us about 90 minutes round-trip at a leisurely pace. Some steep, rocky climbing, not for everyone.

Lovely park You can catch sight of ducks and swan in the water body inside the park. Trail is relaxing and beautiful. Great view from hike on the mountain Easy hike for anyone who want to have a sight of beautiful landscape. You can also bring in some food as there is not much options around the park. Must visit for a great walk with amazing views

Excellent place to run. I ran around the perimeter of the park β€” very safe, no cars or waiting for walk lights! Incredible views and wildlife.

I spent my half day hiking in Holyrood. It has very good view, you can see Edinburgh from above, breathing the fresh air. At the top I found musician playing contra bass and singing. Many people were there, up above the hill, trekking by following the path. I really enjoyed that moment. Hiking to the top was very exhausted but fun, many beautiful scenery found. If I come back yo Edinburgh l, surely I will visit Holyrood again.

Amazing place on the edge of Edinburgh. A walk up to the top of Arthur's Seat is well worth it for amazing views and photo opportunities. If you can't make it all the way, there are still great views to be had half way up.

Alhamdulillah, such a beautiful place. The hiking on the top of mountain was an easy trail. My trip to Edinburgh would not complete without visiting this lovely place to enjoy the sunset.

Huge park very close to the city centre. Large grass areas, some lakes and the small hills to climb, so something to do for everyone. It was fairly busy on a lovely, sunny weekend, but it never felt crowded. Lots of people were walking their dogs, but they were all well behaved. Nice, clean facilities.

Holyrood Park in Edinburgh is a true urban oasis! This vast green expanse, nestled right in the heart of the city, offers an array of natural wonders. From the majestic Arthur's Seat, where you can soak in panoramic views of Edinburgh, to the serene St. Margaret's Loch, it's a haven for nature lovers and hikers alike. What's truly remarkable is how this park seamlessly blends nature with history. You can explore the ruins of Holyrood Abbey and the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the official residence of the British monarch in Scotland. The juxtaposition of ancient history against the backdrop of the modern city is awe-inspiring. Whether you're up for a challenging hike or a leisurely stroll, Holyrood Park has something for everyone. It's a perfect place to escape the city's hustle and bustle, recharge in nature, and appreciate Edinburgh's unique blend of natural beauty and heritage. Don't miss it during your visit.

Holyrood Park in Edinburgh is a stunning natural landscape that offers breathtaking views of the city and surroundings. The climb can be a bit challenging, but it's definitely worth it once you reach the top. It's essential though to wear appropriate footwear for the terrain, as the path can be steep and rocky. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Holyrood Park and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Edinburgh for a great outdoor experience.
