We love exploring the trails here. Weather was amazing. Loads of wildlife & such peace as you wander. We walked right round this time and stopped at the wee shop for icecream.

Loch an Eilein is surrounded by beautiful scenery and it is so peaceful there. There is a carpark which charges £1.50 per person, maximum charge £4.50 and the attendant here is so friendly and helpful, even providing you with a map of Rothiemurchus and Glenmore Walks. There are toilets available and a little gift shop which also sells hot and cold drinks and ice-cream. The walk around the Loch is 3 miles, although there are other longer walking trails, such as The Long Walk which is 10 miles and the Loch Mor Walk which is also about 3 miles. Such a lovely, peaceful place to visit if you are in the area.

Beautiful walk (or mountain bike possible) with stunning views. If you fancy adding on a bit extra, go around Lock Gamhna (to the SW). It's 8.3 Km around both lochs.

Fantastic scenery with some good bicycle trails and walking paths around the entire like. Worth a visit. Much better than Glenmore in my opinion.

Beautiful place to walk around the loch, on woodland trails, about 3.5m long. Not difficult terrain.

Beautiful place to visit. Car park is large and an attendant on site to charge for use. There is a small gift shop and toilet facility. I would say it got very busy as we left but thankfully we arrived early in the morning.

It's a bonnie walk through lovely Scots Pine woods. I love the castle, another Wolf of Baednoch lair, and it adds a bit of historic culture to the walk. We'll worth a visit.

Lovely dog walk. Accessible path and an easy 1hr 30 min walk around the loch. Slight inclines but nothing strenuous

👍👍 Fantastic walk to the summit. 1hr 15min up, 45min down, on a dry August day. Great views over Aviemore from the lookout, keep going to get to the top. Path is easy to follow - through beautiful woodlands then opens up towards the top. Not too challenging, but challenging enough for us!
