The experience in this hotel has been outstanding. I stayed in a double room which was spacious and it had a living room area with a sofa and TV. The bed was comfortable and the shower worked without problems. The food quality impressed me, I had breakfast and dinner and the plates were delicious and great portion sizes. I loved that the breakfast had many healthy options such as tons of fresh fruits and quinoa with berries. For dessert, the chocolate cake was delicious! Live music was fun and created a great atmosphere for relaxing and enjoying after a long day at work. The staff of this hotel is amazing, Luis and Frank greeted me at breakfast and took care of me while being super cheerful. They honestly made my day! Our shuttle driver and dinner server was also super professional and took care of our needs and made sure we were attended at all times. Thank you so much for making my stay so comfortable, I can’t wait to come back for my next business trip!

Great hotel. Our room was spacious, elegant, and tidy. Receptionists were welcoming. The common areas were beautiful. The only downside that I can think of is that we could hear some hallway noise from our room but it did not affect my positive impression of our stay at all.

The hotel was clean. Each evening when we arrived staff were cleaning. Our room was clean but the hallway smelt muggy. The room was spacious and modern. I have 3 stars for service only because the front desk didn’t have matches to give us , which I thought was odd. Location wasn’t that great because each night we ventured downtown Chicago, it was a bit of a distance for my husband to drive each night. If visiting Chicago again, we wouldn’t stay here due to the distance from everything. Close by the hotel there are convenient places to eat. Hotel in a safe location

The room was really nice, and it is way better than other Hyatt Regency I stayed before. The front desk was friendly and helpful. The hallway seems a little bit dirty. And they do not offer breakfast buffet when occupancy is low. The parking lot has a lot of pot holes.

My entire family, minus 2, stayed here for a Bar Mitzvah we attended. Super nice rooms, cleaner than clean, friendly, great breakfast and MORE! We were so pleased. Thank you staff @HRD!!!

I can't recommend breakfast, we did not include it into the price. There are good options around. The hotel is super friendly. Rooms are spacious and clean. No smell (I am extremely sensitive). No pool which is unfortunate. The hotel personal is very responsive and thoughtful. Thank you for a comfortable staying.

Had a great stay at this location. The digital check in was nice and they were able to accommodate my early check in request. The room was spacious and very nice. The carpet in my could use an update as it had collected some stains and was sticking up a little by the bathroom entrance, but ultimately didn’t take away from my experience.

The place was great and comfortable and it was close to the Ravinia so we could go there after the concert late at night. It was clean and parking was free. Removing 2 stars because we picked up the water bottle that was left in the room and charged for it, thinking it was complimentary because there was no price tag. Be careful and confirm what is complimentary and not next time!

I have a mobility issues and the hotel is not friendly to this issue from parking accommodations to door entrance. We booked the room for my son's Naval graduation ceremony 2 months before the event. We call about 2 weeks before and asked for a handicapped accessible room and was told we should be able to get it. Upon checking in we were told the only room available was a 3rd floor room way away from the parking. Never booking with them again. Sad day .

Hyatt Discoverist review here. In the area for work and didn’t want to stay in downtown because valet parking seems to be the only option. I opted for this location because it’s right off the highway and complimentary parking. Checked in super late after 1AM. Was greeted and acknowledged of my Discoverist status. They put me on the highest floor like I requested. I get off the elevator and there’s a lady walking down the hallway. Seemed very strange and odd. I had a long travel day and really just wanted to get to my room safely so I can get some sleep. I shut the door and can now hear this same lady in the hallway talking to some gentleman. Very strange because if you had a room here, why are you talking in the hallway at 1AM. It went on for a good 15 minutes. I can’t hear the noise from the highway but I can hear the conversation in the hallway. Beware if you are sensitive to noise. Also the neighbor beside me would slam the doors and I could hear it loud and clear. The room is nice, clean and modern. Very spacious. Fridge is like a chiller. It’s not too cold. I wish the water pressure was a little heavier but I was loving the rainfall shower head. Bed is comfy and so is the couch. The elevators are dated but they are quick. I took a star off bc the noise and door slams. Everything else was great!

Nice place for a business trip, friendly staff. Rooms have been updated and are nice. There are a few things that are strange such as placement of light switches, but overall a good room to stay in.

My stars aren't based on comparable locations, but my experience with each one individually. However, if I compare my stay at Hyatt with a handful of places I have booked with this summer, there isn't much of one. If you can afford a bit more, or are looking for an amazing place that doesn't break the bank, this has been the best hotel experience. A lot of places are training new staff or going thru growing pains. Be kind and help with confidence! The staff here was outstanding and went above and beyond. This is a beautiful and busy facility. Banquet rooms for events and meetings. Restaurant and bar. Huge welcoming lobby with plenty of room to gather and spend some time together or meet. The courtyard outside is a wonderful option during warmer months. Don't let the older hallway carpet on the walk to your room worry you... The rooms are gorgeous. Simple yet modern with a nice welcoming touch when you arrive. I also appreciate the text message checking in to ensure all was well! The toiletries were great, except the lotion I had. I'd change that brand up immediately, Hyatt lol... I love the simple upgrades that make you feel a bit more at home (e.g., glassware, keurig-style coffee maker). I believe the super comfortable sofa turns into a bed. And there's an extra blanket tucked away in the closet. The shower is modern. For showers, it beats anywhere else I've stayed. Would be perfect with a bench. I saw complaints about noise in reviews. I'm super-sensitive to sound. The hotel is close to major roads and the interstate (my view with the sunset), but it wasn't much of an issue in this building. The hallways do echo and carry. This happens almost anywhere. Most guests won't linger, and if people are a problem, I'm sure a pop-out would be enough. There are parties and events here, so I expect people to be social and having fun, especially on weekends. I did have some difficulty handling noise early in the morning more-so with staff in the halls. Employees should enjoy work and socialize, but it was a bit much with loud conversation and yelling to each other down the hall, except for Tuesday morning. I had a great boss when I worked in hospitality as a teenager. Her catchphrase to wrangle us was "walk and talk". Still great advice. The privacy tag was respected, and a noon check-out that you can complete on the television is a dream for those who like sleeping-in, want to take the extra time to pack, or if you have morning activities. The fridge is more of a chiller, so be aware it won't feel like a fridge, but will keep beverages and food cold enough. There is a large bottle of Evian available in the room for a fee. The microwave is next to the ice machine. I used it a lot and didn't feel I missed having one in my room. I didn't try out the restaurant or bar this time, but it looks amazing. Check-in was exemplary. An adjustment was made without issue. There is a $50 per day incidental deposit. Be prepared. They advised 3-5 days for the refund, but mine came through the same day I left. I've stayed at some brands where this and the price was much lower, and left smelling like pot. It's to protect everyone. On departure, Yasmin went above and beyond to assist me with my bags. She's a keeper! Everyone I saw was top-notch. Thank you so much for a much-needed peaceful staycation. I'd return in a heartbeat. 😊

Listen, datboyzbeezdriving trying to tell u something. This place is great. Very friendly staff. Amenities are nice. Food and drinks were better than expected. Would highly recommend. They have live music on 2 nights. Large common areas to sit down and unwind. My bartender, rico, was very cool and friendly. Njoyed talking with him.

Came for a work conference & stayed for 5 nights. My room was clean and spacious, but it was odd that they don't do any housekeeping services unless requested during your stay - even for that long. The elevators are janky & took forever in the mornings. A few colleagues even got stuck in them briefly. The gym was small & right next to the indoor pool, which made the gym have a strong chlorine smell - not ideal for when you are trying to work out. The food was good. The staff members I interacted with were friendly. Plenty of parking, but beware there isn't really anything walkable from this location - you must drive or uber.

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Deerfield for four days. This location is definitely below the Hyatt standard. The room was fairly spacious, which I appreciated, but the carpet was quite dirty with multiple visible spots and stains. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was completely clogged and covered in gunk, rendering it nonfunctional. There was also some black stuff smeared behind the sink (See photos attached). In the hallway, I noticed the carpet was curling up in many spots and is a tripping hazard. Many of the room doors were cracked and splintered on the bottom. There are definitely some moisture related issues going on at this property. Overall, the condition of the facilities seemed poorly maintained. The location was convenient just off the highway and the check-in process was quick. The service was hit or miss. The front desk staff was friendly. However, housekeeping didn't clean up even after asking. Definitely, I won't stay here again. I would suggest staying at Marriott instead.

I'm a Hyatt member and was not impressed with this site. Building seemed old and wasn't up to par with the hotels in the area. I love Hyatt, but I would take the embassy for better points and better rooms. I won't disclose the issues with my room as the service desk was kind enough to credit me for the issues with member points. My god I sound like a Karen.

It's sort of a corporate partner hotel for businesses in the area. I wish they would do a face-lift on this place because the staff is great and more peeps should book here based on staff alone. Restaurant is standard hotel food...there is a janky snack shop...basically some items on a shelf so buy your beverages and snack items someplace else. Not really a kid friendly hotel..again is a corporate partner feel with a lot of business travelers. Again a face lift of the lobby is looong over due as well as the bar. But I got a good night's sleep in a well appointed room so there is that! Nice fitness center with indoor pool.

Our room needed to be touched up….ceiling had old leak stain. Lobby furniture worn out. Parking lot has major potholes. But the coffee was excellent 🤣😎

Do not park in their lot! I parked my car in the hotel lot and someone stole the catalytic converter off of my car while it was parked. I even parked under a light post and it was still stolen. There is no surveillance in the Hyatt Regency Deerfield parking lot and their lot is targeted. The mechanic told me this area is notorious for catalytic converter thefts. Be careful. It's too bad because the hotel is very, very nice.

This place appears to be an aging, used to be luxury, hotel. Room only had a tiny bit of toilet paper and very little Kleenex in it. No extra rolls anywhere, not that you would want to use their sandpaper toilet paper anyway. Ran out in the night and to go buy tissue and toilet paper for our 4 day stay. Toilet runs constantly unless you remember to lift the handle back up after flushing. So if you go to the bathroom during the night, you'll get be getting up to fix it after you just got settled back in bed.

One, the staff at this hotel is great and goes above and beyond. However, there are deeper rooted issues at this hotel. For one, water staining on the ceiling near the AC vent and paint peeling in the bathtub. Another thing is that when the housekeeping changed the sheets on my bed, they did not replace the mattress protector, nor did they replace the fitted sheet and the queen sized sheet that was on the bed did not fit the king sized mattress, so I woke up with my feet on the bare mattress 🤢 also, there was no microwave in my room, and I’m sure I could’ve asked for one, but honestly I have no desire to force a worker to haul one to my room when there should already be one for convenience.

Beautiful hotel with updated rooms. However, many of our guests were unable to check into their rooms on time due to rooms not being ready which caused alot of people to be late to our wedding ceremony. Many of our guest also received dirty rooms and most were told that the facility was out of laundry when additional towels were requested. We also had guests who requested handicap accessible rooms that were placed a large distance from the elevator. We had been in communication with this hotel a year prior to set these accommodations, so it is disappointing and embarrassing that we had to apologize to our guests that this facility did not seem prepared for a busy weekend. I can say that everyone at the front desk during our stay were very helpful.

Lovely lobby and service. Rooms looked great but carpet looked gross in the room. It could use a good clean. AC wouldn't change in the room I was in, and we had to walk a good ways to get there with no alternate entrance outside of the front lobby.

I get how chain hotels try to be cheap about providing basic services, I was surprise to hear this Hyatt location do the same and even I though I requested first time in the morning for the room to get done and clean and arrange, they didn’t care of doing it. Service in hotel industry is just getting horrible. And people that work at front desk are so no customer service oriented. Pretty much the answer when I got home at night was like ; I don’t care! Deal with it! They don’t care of doing anything for you or accommodating you, which is initially why we are paying money to stay at their locations. JUST TERRIBLE ! I’m a Marriott person, at least if I was in their properties they will be more apologetic and honest to acknowledge their mistakes.

Booked a "high floor" king room, ended up getting a floor towards the bottom. My room key stopped working within just a few hours of checking in, and the room was absolutely disgusting and clearly not cleaned a long time. The sink was clogged and there was no hot water unless you showered in the middle of the night when nobody else was using it. The front desk staff was argumentative, accusatory, and unhelpful. This is easily one of the most disorganized and regrettable hotels I've ever been to, and I've seen some things…cue the canned response from the hotel which will lead to nothing, of course.

Get ready to walk! This is a huge building and if they put you in a room at the far end of the hall you will get your steps in! The entrance of the building is nasty. Carpet is coming up, walk rugs need to be replaced. Hyatt needs to take some pride in the property. Lobby is huge and very comfortable. No lobby coffee, and the Hyatt want to play the nickel and dime game by charging for everything -example: $6 for a bottle of water in the room.

Spacious suite, comfortable bed, mini fridge. We traveled with a toddler and they provided us with a pack n play that was in great condition! I would definitely stay here again.

Great location in Deerfield located near everything. Hyatt never fails to deliver a consistent and good experience at a reasonable price. Staff was friendly, room was set up in a very functional and modern layout. All in all good stay.

Nice hotel, rooms are redone and pretty clean, hallways and elevators could use some updating. Staff was friendly and very speedy service at the bar and restaurant. Easy to get to for an out of towner.

I was told it would be a swimming pool, and complimentary breakfast. Drove my entire family from Memphis Tennessee to this location for vacation and couldn’t swim my children was very upset.. the ice machines did not work on any floor but 5th the drink machine was also not reading any cards.. and when asked about my concerns I was just told to call a 800 number instead… this is why I stay at Hilton but I tried to be open minded. Never again for this company

We had a good stay here. There's been a remodel sometime, but some of the room features, etc are dated. Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. Service from the staff was fantastic!

  • 2/5 Ramsha M. 1 year ago on Google
Disappointed by lack of cleanliness: some hair left in the shower and room carpet had stains. Elevator was old and dirty with spill marks; it was shaking and jolts when it stops. Handheld shower wasn’t working properly. As we were checking in, family before us received complimentary water bottles but we did not. For the price they charge for the rooms, we expect better service and stay experience.

The walls at this place are paper thin. I could hear people walking, opening up doors, flushing, sneezing... Pretty much anything. As a result my roommate and I got bad sleep and we were tired the next day. Elevators were sketchy. Dishes at the breakfast place were very dirty. I had to sort through numerous plates and my glass of water had lip stick marks on it! 🤢 Not what you expect when you pay $20 a plate. Nice location.

Staff was extremely helpful at the front desk. David assisted me with a component that I need a small screwdriver. He took the time and unscrewed it. Awesome job taking care of the guest even outside of the call of duty! I appreciate them all at the front desk. Restuarant staff was awesome also.

Great place to stay. Staff is very friendly, polite, professional & genuinely strive to ensure that you are fully accommodated. I've stayed here multiple times, and have no plans to change that on my future business trips. All-around Awesome!

Excellent experience! We just left from a soccer tournament over the weekend, lots of families and the service was impressive! The breakfast buffet was excellent, very good and the place very clean. The staff is great!! Everyone is friendly and helpful! It was a pleasure staying there!

  • 5/5 Lily S. 1 year ago on Google
The breakfast buffet was outstanding, but the service is even better! The staff is so friendly! They also have a Starbucks. The gym was great. We experienced difficulty while purchasing a movie, so we called the front desk. They had someone with OnDemand call our room in a matter of minutes, who walked us through how to fix it. It was so helpful! Loved everything about our one night stay!
