Sometimes you get lucky and find a great little hole in the wall kind of place. If you like authentic Homestyle Mexican food this one of the best . You have to go through the store to get the restaurant. Very quaint style but it fits with the vibe and ambiance. We order chicken tacos, a chicken gordita , and chicken fajitas. The tacos were delicious, little different than what Iam just too I tend to like the street style double mini tortilla. The Gordita was a great value for the size you can share that is what we did. The Fajitas were homestyle goodness. Also they give you the most chicken I ever got from anywhere had left over for 2 more meals . The beans were home made most everything I was homemade which is what I prefer. Truly a hidden Gem and certainly will be back !!!

I love this place. Very different, but so good! Service is odd because you order in the store and they bring the food to the table. Authentic food and an interesting beer selection. We always get the guacamole to start and I'm addicted to the lingua tacos. I needed to come home and take a nap after but man I can't wait to go back!

We were greeted by Dominique. He was the most charming, polite, informative 11 year old I have ever met. We went to the register where his sister explained the QR code to us and told us to have a seat on the enclosed patio. We did a instructed and looked at the menu. Once we made our decisions, we went back to the register to order. I ordered the chips and salsa and guacamole, as well as the Enchiladas Verde. My sister ordered the chicken fajitas. Our chips and dips came out right away. They were both delicious. Then our entrees arrived. OMG! The portions are HUGE! The young ladies both checked on us several times. The food was excellent! The service was excellent! We've got leftovers! Most definitely would go back. Just not order as much food next time. 😋 Look at the photos. That's not distortion in the photo. That's steam coming off of the platter.

My kiddo and I tried Las Isabella's this evening and wow, we were not disappointed! As a vegan it is hard to find options in Hickory. Las Isabella's is filling a void in that area with so many delicious vegan options. Actually their whole menu can be made vegan. They have vegan meat and cheez and are looking into adding vegan chik'n and vegan sour cream! It was all delicious. Always get the fresh homemade chips and pico. All vegan options are clearly marked on the menu. When you order just tell them you are vegan! I asked if any of the desserts were vegan and she said not yet but they are working on getting some vegan desserts on the menu! Everyone was super nice! Everything was fresh and oh so good!! My favorite thing was the sope and the chips and pico. We also got the torta and quesadilla. Enough for several meals. I will be trying the mango margarita next time for sure!

After hearing the wonderful reviews from friends and coworkers, my wife and I decided to give this place a try! From the moment we walked in we were greeted and made to feel like we were with friends! The hostess was incredibly helpful and kind! After giving our order, our food was delivered within minutes of sitting down! My only regret was not taking a picture of our meal before we ate! Everything was fantastic! The homemade tortilla chips with queso were top notch and the salsa was equally as amazing! However, what stole the show were the plates of authentic Mexican street tacos we both devoured! We tried several of the different meats, and while they were all great, our favorite was the Al Pastor! I think I speak for both of us when I say that we've found our new favorite Mexican restaurant in Hickory! 10/10, We will definitely be back again! (Next time, I'll try to snap a picture before the food is all gone) Edit* We went back the other day and got a picture! The food was just as amazing as we remembered it! :)

One of the best, authentic Mexican restaurants we have found in all our travels!! I had a Lengua Burrito and my wife had Lengua Tacos. both were so delicious, as well as the Jamaica and Pineapple Aqua Frescas!!! We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be back when we are in the area!! Staff and service was excellent and fast!!

This is the best place for vegan Mexican food period. It seems like they can pretty much do the whole menu vegan. They use impossible meat for the beef and have dairy-free cheese also. The flavors are extremely authentic and the corn chips are homemade. I highly recommend Las Isabella's!

If you have never been, you need to know a few small things. The only parking entrance is on 3rd St Dr. There is a lovely patio adjacent, but you can't enter there. You need to walk around to the entrance, into the store. This might be difficult for those with mobility issues. Walk in to the store, past the register, to the hostess stand where you will be invited to open the menu on your phone (qr code) The menu is in Spanish with lots of neat options. Once you order, you are seated on a patio. Food comes quickly, large portions, good value. Bring your sense of adventure and enjoy.

What an authentic delicious Mexican restaurant. This place is like no other and the food is outstanding. I will not go to americanized Mexican after this place. You've gotta try it. The queso will blow your mind and the guacamole is made to order. Can't say enough about this place.

Found a big hair in my food. Won't be back. They did offer an amazing amount of vegan dishes though. And the vegan queso was really good.

Holy smokes- how have we lived here a year and not been here? A charming setting - very reminiscent of parts of Mexico. Such a friendly atmosphere with kind people. The food - wow! Flavor, preparation and quantity. Chicken sopes were outstanding. Beans are prepared perfectly! Pork chops on verde with nopales and red onions just divine . We cannot wait return. Sure to be our favorite!

I went last night to celebrate my friend's birthday. I've never eaten there before, but I'm glad I did last night! Their food is amazing, and you surely get what you pay for. They're also very friendly. I greatly recommend it!!!

Last week, we drove over an hour to try this place out. No signs on the door or online to indicate they were closed. Someone from the store across the street told us they're closed for the rest of the year. We couldn't believe it!!! If you're gonna be closed, it's not a big deal if it's advertised. However, wasting time and gas money is uncalled for...especially with a simple solution. This is the 2nd time we've tried to eat here and it hasn't worked out. They've had such good reviews that we were willing to drive and try them out... however, at this point, there are better options that stick to the hours they post. It's a shame.

I typically order take out from this restaurant because most times I've been here for dinner they've been pretty busy. Their burritos and tacos are some of the best around. Their tacos are well worth the money as they're pretty big tacos. 2 tacos will fill you up and 3 is more than enough on an empty stomach. Don't let the grocery store fool you from thinking that the food here isn't good. I'd recommend it to everyone wanting quality Mexican food. Burrito = 5/5 Tacos = 5/5

Do you love authentic tacos? If so, this is your spot. Simple, delicious food. The location isn’t much to look at but most of the best places I’ve ever eaten were little hole in the wall type spots. This is no different. Good, hard working people cooking great food and bringing culture to a sleepy southern town. Give them your dollars. 👍🏻👍🏻

Amazing vegan options! The menu itself does not specify all vegan options, only a few, but we were told when ordering that any menu item could be made vegan. Be sure to ask if an item is fried (like the Chimichanga) if cross contamination if an issue. All around helpful, polite, and informed staff and servers, delicious authentic food, and awesome prices. Me and my wife visited from Charlotte due to being recommended by a friend, and the food was so good we haven't stopped talking about it since. Good, authentic Mexican food made vegan is very rare, and Isabelas hit the mark with their options! I got the Torta Vegana (plant based beef, vegan cheese, rice, beans, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and vegan mayo on a Bolillo roll) and was so full I had to bring the other half home. Ave that was after sharing a few bites with my wife! Their house made tortilla chips are delicious, but not fully vegan due to being fried in the same fryer as all of their meat items. Fortunately for us, this was not a deal breaker and we indulged ourselves! Our server, I believe her name was Vanessa, was super helpful and seemed genuinely eager and excited to tell us all they had to offer in the way of plant based options. The chefs even allowed us to try their now vegan chorizo and it was amazing! Definitely a hidden gem that we will be returning to as often as possible! Thank you all so much for the hospitality and truly amazing food!

I've been told this is the best Mexican food in Hickory so I wasn't surprised to LOVE this lunch! I had the chori-pollo chimichanga as take-out today was not disappointed! The hot salsa was delicious too. Eager to go back and try their other items. The place smelled AMAZING when I walked in to pick up my order. The staff could not have been more friendly. Will definitely return!
