We are here on a little get away and wanted some BBQ we found this place and it was AMAZING, it’s hard to see from the road though so we passed it and turned in the the Texas Rhode house Parking lot and there was a cut through. The Food: I got the Western which was pulled pork and turkey on a hoagie with waffle fries and slaw, the sandwich and waffle fries were amazing, the slaw to me needed more mayonnaise salt and pepper. The restaurant: very clean, nicely set up, Access to condiments and sauces and drinks were very nicely set up and well seen. The staff: very nice, very informative, served us in a very quickly fashion.

Ordered 2 pulled pork sandwiches on uber. They were out of pork but they never contacted me about this. Instead they sub 2 chicken sandwiches without telling me until the delivery driver was almost to me. I really dont want chicken but was starving at work only to bite into raw chicken. Terrible never again

Just discovered this place. I would call it a hidden gem in hickory. Great smokey flavor on the meat with generous portions. We had the two meat combo with salad and okra and a spicy brisket sandwich. Will become one of my favorite restaurants

Dickeys "Legit, Texas, Barbeque" I'm an Okie, I take pride in saying that.so when I found out I was coming to North Carolina, I got excited for some famous Carolina barbecue. I order the sliced brisket, brisket burnt ends, cheddar kielbasa sausage and Brisket chili. As soon as I sat down and seen the cup said "Texas Barbeque " I bout had a fit. But it's okay I had expectations and standards for the meats. And if there's one thing us Okies and Texans know, it's Barbeque and Football. The only thing I can nitpick at is the brisket was sliced with the grain and not against, but that's nitpicking and has nothing to do with the food. The brisket was sliced ridiculously thick but it's all good because it was juicy and full of flavor. The burnt ends although not traditional. Delicious. And the cheddar kielbasa? Phenomenal. Generic Cole slaw and potato salad. This is my first time trying brisket chili and albeit great, a little too spicy for my taste. But all in all 4.8 out of 5

Finest kielbasa I have ever eaten. Good pork ribs and even better brisket. Crispy just fried waffle fries and tasty potato salad. Pictured is three meat that comes with 2 sides. More than enough for my wife and I. Super nice staff. Dove in a hurry, they prepare each plate when it’s ordered. Wish they would open one in Gastonia or Mount Holly.

The driver was great, no complaints there. My complaint is the food. I loved Dickey's and ordered the Pit Dip sandwich because I love their riff on a French Dip. What I received was a large bun with 3 pieces of meat (and a small tip), 4 pieces of onion, and absolutely no cheese at all . That is not worth the $17 even with the 2 sides. On the positive side GrubHub did credit me for the sandwich, but that doesn't make up for the disappointment in the meal.

I give this place a 3 🌟 because the chicken wings I order was as hard and dry it even didn't have the smoked taste to it u call tell that who ever cooked the wings just drop them n the fryer and call it the DAY !! I was very dissatisfied with the quality of the wings and taste. only things that was tasty was the fried okra and little to heavy on the salt .I spent 28$ 4 dinner and got a big let down. I could took my business to Sonny's bbq and got better quality and smoked taste of the food I brought here. I came here because a friend told me about this place take out time was about 5:30 on 2-7 22

Amazing food! It's that simple, and despite it being a bigger company it felt like it was local. The beef tips themselves were amazing. Also, great wung size and free Sunday meals for kids.

I had a meeting here with an associate. He had a BBQ sandwich and really enjoyed it. I had a brisket sandwich. It was great! And I will be back for more.

I love this place, great food, smoked meats daily, Everything melts in your mouth.

Came in over an hour after they opened. We saw the workers open a jar of seasoning with their chin, and then later when the tea dispenser wasn’t working they rubbed their bare hands all over the spout to try and fix it. The food was cold and didn’t taste fresh, with the brisket being very dry. Disappointed and not worth the $40 for two plates. Won’t be back.

I recently ordered a catering order from Dickey’s Barbecue Pit for a company event, very disappointed with the overall experience and quality. As someone who frequently organizes catered events throughout the year I had certain expectations. I had ordered pulled pork, chicken breast, Cole slaw, Mac and cheese, potato salad and sweet tea, the delivery arrived with pulled pork, cole slaw, green beans, baked beans and unsweet tea. Moreover, the quality of the food was underwhelming the baked beans and green beans were cold as if they were taken straight from the fridge and merely served as a substitute for the items I actually ordered. This lack of freshness and the need to spend extra time heating the food in the microwave due to our office building location was an inconvenience we didn't expect. When I reached out I was told I wouldn’t be receiving the items I originally requested and was given no explanation. The lack of customer service and communication just added to the overall disappointment. Overall, my experience with Dickey's Barbecue Pit catering was highly disappointing, and I would caution others to double-check their orders and be prepared for substitutions and lapses in communication.

Spicy bbq sauce is honey bbq with just red chili flakes and still taste sweet. Paid a total of $12 to upsize all side items just to be given regular size sides. Not to mention the food was cold. Many more bbq places in hickory that are MUCH better.

A little smokey inside the day we went as the a/c was broken and no ice for the drinks and out of a couple of items on the menu because the delivery truck was a no show that day..... but everything we ordered was perfect and the staff is very friendly. I guess everyone has a bad day every now and then. Will definitely go back! Well worth the price

We were waiting on our tires to be rotated next door so decided to grab something to eat. Wow!!! This place is unbelievable! I got the #4 brisket sandwich basket. It was amazing! Highly recommend! We will for sure be back!

Spent $35, Ordered a pound of the chopped bbq and a couple other things. Got it home and it wasn't chopped. There was 3 huge clumps of it. Had to eat it with my hands and take bites out of it like it was an apple. Two stars because the tea was good... definitely not worth $35 though. Won't be back. Do better.

My first time eating at this establishment was about a month ago. I came in around 3:00, hadn’t eaten all day and was famished and dealing with a cranky three year old. I was looking for the big dill burger place advertised on google and didn’t realize it was here. I was going to leave but Joe, reassured me that the food was amazing and fast and he was right! He helped me make a great choice and made sure I had little to no wait for my food. The customer service was absolutely amazing. Joe needs a raise!!

After a hard Monday, my wife went out to find some dinner for the crew. Settled on Dicky's ( 1st time).. she opted to order on line. When she arrived to pick up the order, a lady who said she was the district manager brought out the bag of food and exclaimed " hamburgers??!? Why did you order hamburgers? They are frozen and not very good"... perhaps we should have taken the warning and ran, but we decided to give it a chance. Bad move. The burgers were sloppily assembled and the buns were dry and crumbly.. the lettuce was wilted and the tomatoes very mushy and almost rotten tasting. I could have let all these things go... but the burger patties were not even edible. They were burnt to a hockey puck consistency, tasted terrible and looked worse (see pics) The waffle fries were not edible either.. greasy, limp and cold, despite the lady saying that the reason the food took a while to come out was that they were waiting on fresh fries. The brisket on the brisket and cheese fries was OK. I called the store to complain, and was told by DJ the manager that there was NOTHING he could do to make this right.. no new food- no refund, and suggested me doing exactly what I'm doing now. I think the real management/owner would be very interested in knowing the poor quality food their restaurant is serving and have a desire to make this right. As it stands , I was out 60 dollars and ended up with some ham and crackers from my fridge that night for dinner. I realize this is a BBQ place. But if you can't do any better than that, just take the burgers off the menu.

This is my 2nd time trying in 2 weeks. Last week I ordered online. Didn't know they were closed because I live in lenior. But that got fixed but went today 10-15 and ordered to 3 meat plates. One the burnt ends has nothing but fat. Two. We only got 1 piece of slice brisket apiece and only 1 of us got a roll. Two times going to hickory. 2 times wasn't satisfied. I usually go to JDs smokehouse. They give way bigger portions for a cheaper price. I wouldn't have just gotten 1 slice of brisket. That was 1 of the biggest letdown

Was here a couple weeks ago. My husband and I both got the brisket and it was awesome. I have never really liked brisket cause always seemed dry and tasteless but this was THE BEST. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I would say the lobby needs a deep clean, floors, tables and chairs etc. But will be back!!
