Very nice ones but the five stars are deserved for gardens like Florentine Boboli's ones. Worth a visit, though. Pay attention that the end of the garden is when you get to the small lake on the top of the uphill. Nice sight of the castle from there.

Amazing royal gardens with the beautiful castle and lake in full view. Great place to walk around, relax, and drink in the beauty of the surroundings.

An 1hr on train from Copenhagen Station. If you have Copenhagen card then I free. About 11 stops. But great way to see Denmark on routem as for the castle. Best one I saw whilst there. The queen stays here in the summer and you can see why. Flawless

This castle is worthy of a whole day! Arrive early and enjoy the gardens before the road arrives. Be the first at the cafe to choose your open face sandwiches for a great price. Eat outdoors like royalty. Enjoy the breeze and open air beauty of this place. It smells wonderful. In the afternoon explore the castle. Take your time because you don't want to miss a single detail on the wall, floor or ceiling. Stand amongst sculptures and awe the detail in the chapel. Truly magnificent. This is the best castle experience in Northern Europe.

A calm oasis in the middle of the city. Great for taking a walk, going for a run or just a small picnic in the grass.

Spectacular! Was easy to get to by train from Copenhagen. The location is just so stunning with the view on Baltic Sea and Sweden across the bay. Very beautiful set up inside and art is so beautiful. Dressing room is amazing. Highly recommend!

We stumbled upon the Gardens on an accident as we were heading to Copenhagen. But I am so glad we did. We spent a few hours just walking, relaxing and enjoying the sun. The beautiful bells of the castle played some tunes to the evening sun. Even as the castle was closed by this time it was worth the visit!

Great experience, although we just roamed around in the serene gardens only, and didn't have time to explore the indoors. Great atmosphere and nature surrounding this beautiful castle

Beautiful gardens and castle (with museum) Only 40 km north of Copenhagen - take the S-train to Hillerød (40 min ride) and then walk 15-20 min's A must-see for all tourists going to Copenhagen. Nearby you will find restaurants and cafe's combining beauty with pleasure.

Wonderful garden and beautiful infrastructure. Right place to take relaxing walk and to breathe a fresh air. Pets and bikes are allowed in this park. Park built up including beautiful lake. Apple garden is simply super, nice place for family picnic and play some games. Perhaps barbecue is not allowed here. Slightly bigger park in Hillerød. Castle view is captivating and you will really appreciate by visiting here.

A scenic and close to the nature, this garden is amongst the top most beautiful gardens in Denmark. One must visit this place from where you can see the Frederiksberg castle. There are many small lakes in the garden and each one is unique and has its own beauty. Kids definitely enjoy here for the full day and you can relax on the lush green garden while they play.

Big and beautiful gardens to walk around during a sunny weekend! After a promenade around this castle, be sure to watch a French feuilleton La Demoiselle d'Avignon that was filmed in this castle :)

The gardens are splendid and free to visit. Many views of the main castle and there is a secondary castle, few lakes, statues and even a forest part.

Stunningly beautiful grounds, lakes, woods, formal Baroque gardens, many paths for walkers & cyclists. A museum of Danish history in the castle if you are so inclined and a very nice cafe if you make it to the top of the gardens.

Great place to go for a walk, running 🏃🏾‍♂️ with pet or to relax 😎. There’s a stunning view of the castle and the green garden 🪴. Frideriksborg castle is one of the most beautiful castle in Denmark 🇩🇰 and it’s garden is the minimalistic copy of Le Louvre garden. It’s always fun to spend time around this castle in the center of Hillerød Komune.

One of the most beautiful places to visit. A rich history to see and read about, how these gardens were developed in past centuries. A walk around them is recommended in all weathers but they are at their best in summer.

The park is gorgeous in all seasons, but particularly nice in spring and summer. It's free to walk all around the lake and enjoy the nature.

A very beautiful and well-kept garden. It also offers great views to the palace. It must be even more beautiful in the spring and summer when more flowers will be in bloom. Unfortunately it was raining when we visited it so we couldn`t fully enjoy the walk.
