🫤 We came here on a Wednesday night for dinner. Upon being seated, we looked over the menu, noticing inconsistent abbreviations and spellings for several items including the words "avocado" , "cucmber" or "minutes". On its own, there is nothing wrong with that, but it does show a lack of care I hoped... People often mention hibachi, sushi, good, rice, chef, time, fried, quality, Groupon, dinner,

We came here on a Wednesday night for dinner. Upon being seated, we looked over the menu, noticing inconsistent abbreviations and spellings for several items including the words "avocado" , "cucmber" or "minutes". On its own, there is nothing wrong with that, but it does show a lack of care I hoped would not be present in their food. The waiter took our order before we were offered drinks, and once we did place the order, every single thing came out at a different time. This is especially strange because we both got fried rice, and there was a 10 minute delay between them. Additionally, their vegetable sushi rolls are similar if not the same price as sushi rolls with seafood inside, which is a trend I am not used to at sushi restaurants. The salmon avacado roll was extremely delicious as well as freash making it the highlight of the meal. The fried rice itself was very dry on the top, with some of the rice actually being crunchy. The steak in the fried rice was flavorless, dry, and of low quality. The chicken in mine, was also quite dry and a bit overcooked. Given the prices of the menu, we were shocked by the subpar standards. In their defense, we sat at a regular table, not hibachi, so we cannot speak to that experience, but I can say with certainty that we won't return here. Overall, the food is not worth the price, and the dining experience in general experience is lacking. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Went out for the birthday dinner and had a fanatic time, the waiters are top notch and very nice. The chef was professional and delivered a quality tasteful meal. I would reccomend this place for a great dinner or celebration! Edit* Attended once again for my birthday, still to this day I will say it is one of the tastiest hibachi steak houses you will be able to find, it's quick, great service, and amazing food 👏

Food was very good. All staff were very friendly. Reduced stars because we waited over an hour to be seated and had a reservation. The shrimp was overcooked but everything else was delicious.

Horrible. Waist of money. Very expensive. Soup salty, salad was drowned in water and wilted lettuce, tasted like 1000 island dressing, Fish REALLY smelled Bad, chicken rubbery, rice not fully cooked in the fried rice, bland. Loaded with garlic. grilled shrimp rubbery, filet migon was good. Lunch at 1 pm and they only had 8 customers total, and many had coupons.

Found this place out from purchasing a Groupon. We didn't do the hibachi and just ordered off the menu. This is above average sushi. The inside was very hot and the doors were open for air flow. Server was very nice and he was overworked considering it was him alone for the whole restaurant.

this place has amazing service, the waiters and hibachi chefs. Food isn’t overpriced and taste great I would definitely recommend it for lunch or dinner. They also offer sushi here! I got dragon roll, chicken dinner hibachi it was amazing! It was also the first hibachi I’ve been to. I’d definitely come back again some time soon didn’t disappoint me at all.

This will be my top favorite Japanese restaurant from now on! The food is amazing compared to other restaurants and staff are welcoming and generous. The chef was very friendly with everybody. I will definitely visit again. Thanks for the exceptional service and yummy sushi, hibachi, and noodles!

Would not honor our Groupon that we paid for, don’t offer a Groupon if you’re not going to accept it. We lost out on $15 for the Groupon on top of a forced 18% gratuity we were not advised of on a party of 4 (2 adults and 2 CHILDREN) AFTER we already handed a cash tip to our chef who was honestly amazing. Which cancelled out anything we saved with the Groupon deal in the first place. Server and manager stand around and stare at you and listen to your conversations, quite uncomfortable and unwelcoming vibe. We were polite and kind the entire time and our server would hardly even acknowledge us, very cold and arrogant. Then raised his voice at me and leaned in towards my face, a 9 month pregnant woman, who was just explaining our concerns and told me I was just “making things difficult.” There’s clearly a reason their dining area is a ghost town during dinner hours. Prices are quite astronomical and arrogant servers and manager, we have been here several times before but that was it. We will NEVER be returning. Edit to address response: There were two separate parties, two separate families. If we sat at different tables and your employees had to do twice the work, those coupons would have been accepted, you even said that to us yourself. So we’re punished for attending your restaurant together and sitting at the same table… Make that make sense. Not to mention, we’ve done this before and they were not denied, just today they were in an extremely hostile way. If you’re losing money with a Groupon, don’t offer them. Now we are out an additional $15 on top of our full price meal that we purchased to spend at your establishment. And we’ve eaten there several times NOT using a Groupon. Also, 18% gratuity on parties of 4 is not standard whatsoever.

Excellent food and great service! We had such a good time with our family and the chef was so fun! We had a shell fish allergy and the chef was great about accommodating. The portions are huge and could easily be split. Thanks for an awesome time!

Our chef, Daniel, was fantastic and funny. The staff was so considerate and sweet. I forgot they put mushrooms in the soup and the server brought a fresh one, but he told our chef, Daniel, that too so our meal didn't include it (and yes I forgot to tell them for my hibachi meal. It was really awesome for that communication to already have happened!) Oh and I'm not sure our price was accurate because we ordered like a lot of food for 2 people. He had steak, chicken, lobster, and shrimp. I had steak, lobster, and scallops (but I took some of his shrimp), plus the fried rice, vegetables, dragon roll and sushi roll so pretty pricey but so so so so so so good!

Great food prepared in front of you. I had the steal and scallops with egg fried rice and veggies. Chef kept everyone involved and squirted some sort of alcohol into the adults' mouths. Large menu, was a little pricey but worth it.

The hibachi may be good but the sushi is low quality garbage. The rolls were filled with ground tuna and salmon. It was a disgusting mushy texture that made me and my son sick. The server said the chef scraps it with a spoon to get this texture. With further research it is low grade ground meat that has been the cause of food poisoning. If you’re looking for quantity over quality this is your place.

This is my first time at a hibachi place and let me tell you. When I first enter, the interior is pretty and matches the theme of the restaurant. The food is also very good. The kids were entertained by the shows that the hibachi chef did and there are alcohol available for the adults. I love the steak and shrimp hibachi. The meat was cooked perfectly to my liking and the vegetable and fried rice was also very good. Amazing place to go as a family and very kid friendly too.

Had an amazing time here with my partner :) The food is so delicious and flavorful, and you'll be blown away by how fresh the sushi is. I didn't think it was even possible to get sushi that fresh in Illinois! We got the sushi love boat and it was so beautiful! Every appetizer was also beautifully presented and delicious, and the cocktail I had was really nice, too. Very friendly and attentive service too, our server didn't miss a single beat!! 10/10, will come back again!

We've been coming to Jojo's for sushi since they opened and have always been impressed by the variety of flavors and creativity in their offerings. Their starter appetizers are solid and very satisfying. And their specialty roles are adventurous and simply delicious. Never had one we didn't enjoy. The waitstaff is friendly and has many times recommended a roll that surpasses our expectations. Prices are a bit high, but competitive for the area and quality you are getting. Never tried the hibachi, but that section of the restaurant seems consistently filled with patrons -- a good sign. Highly recommend.

We went for my birthday. Host was gracious on explaining the menu since it was our first time. I have heard their sushi is decent quality but we opted to order hibachi grill for the experience. The chef was engaging as you expect. The food was okay quality for price but taste was above Benihana on my opinion. Fried rice was well seasoned. We variex our order and shared a bit.
