I have used Rosin Eye Cares other locations, with zero problems. I used this location for the first time this year due to WFH. My initial visit was okay, everything was relatively fine. Then I picked up my frames. They 1. Had a billing discrepancy. They over-billed me (my insurance covered more than their bill reflected, had I not caught it, nobody would have) frustrating, but things happen. 2. I stopped by to pick up the frames and despite their hours on the website and Google, they had a big ole sign on their door saying they were closed for 45 minutes for lunches. It seems like they were well enough staffed they could have rotated through lunches, but at the very least update their hours online, to prevent customer frustrations. ( when I mentioned this to Kate, she snapped at me, so maybe it’s not that easily done?). 3. The real issues is I when got my frames. There are two engravings on each lens, of the Rosin logo, right in my line of vision, affecting how I see out of the lenses. I called about it and the receptionist that answered, couldn’t t answer my question, she rudely shouted “come in and deal with our Optometrist”. I’ve been wearing glasses for pretty much all my life, and have never seen engravings over my lenses. Even my parents with progressive lenses don’t have this. So I inquired why, and what could be done, as it affected my vision. Since the receptionist wasn’t helpful, she placed me on hold and I had a chance to speak to the office manager, Kate. She wasn’t helpful, was super snarky, and inappropriately rude about this. I called another location (Bloomingdale, spoke the the NICEST receptionist, Karla, who was EXTREMELY helpful, and handled the issue with grace, and got me taken care of). When you pay $500+ for a pair of glasses, the last thing you want is the Rosin logo engraved in your line of vision. This problem should have never occurred, but when it did, it lost certainly should have been handled differently. I understand this location is apparently short-staffed, but it’s not an excuse for piss poor customer service. If you want to give Rosin eye a shot, I suggest the drive to Bloomingdale, it’s worth it.

These quacks still require face masks to be worn by all who enter the store. But when trying on glasses you can lower your mask below your chin. You will never have my business so long as you keep up these theatrics.

Scheduled an appointment here for glasses. I asked specifically if they do reminder calls because I’m a very busy person & don’t always get around to looking at the calendar. She said “yes we do.” No, no they definitely do not. They don’t even bother to call and reschedule appointments if by chance it was missed. You would think for being a “higher end” glasses place they would. They need better receptionist! You can’t ever get ahold of the front desk, unless you call 10x in a row. Rescheduled elsewhere.

If you care about your love ones do not take them to this eye care. Office staff very rude and not helpful. Miss leading information given to patient which delayed eye surgery.

I pointed out something on my left eye retinal scan that the doctor originally didn't see! How does that happen!? Doctor has me coming back in 3 months to take a new retinal scan.

I’ve been going to Rosins since 1950’s. I requested contact lenses for my high school graduation gift in 1962. I never had an “issue” until last week. I had my eyes examined after cataract surgery. Until I was at the “picking out your glasses” I didn't realize/know that my one eye didn’t change. I should have been told that by the doctor doing the exam. That made you lose a star.

I thought initially my eyeglasses consultation produced the reduced lenses that I had requested. I am actually thrilled with the frames and had brought in my former glasses (also purchased from Rosin Eyecare) to select a 'new look.' Upon receiving the frames/ lenses I saw a distinct difference in thickness between the new lenses and my previous pair. I think it is doubtful that I would wear my new eyewear outside my home.

Love this place! Even though my family has our eye exams at another office, we BUY our eyeglasses at Rosin. They have a great selection of frames and the opticians are wonderful! They take their time with you until you have a pair of glasses that not only fit well but look great too!

Very unhappy with the level of customer service I received Rosin is more concerned about making a dollar than given excellent customer service which both should go hand and hand. I can not recommend this Eye Care company Rosin. They need to care about eyecare and customer satisfaction and money will follow. Thumps down on the company find you a company who cares.

The entire staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable.

Unfriendly staff in general, including one whom tried to steer me away from nicer frames and close the glass by saying they “made me look feminine” and I should “look in the men’s section”. Sorry sweety, but this is 2019 and glasses aren’t gendered. No one wants your sheltered opinion. Only reason for 2 stars and not 1 is I know the ophthalmologist is good.

The follow up was terrible. Glasses were supposed to be in 10 to 14 days, it was 3 weeks when they arrived. 3 staff members promised to follow up with estimated time and did not. My daughter started school without needed glasses. We were new to this process so didn't have a back up pair. The glasses were pricey as well so the lack of follow up made it that much worse.

Great staff.... First doc to find formula in multi focal contacts where I can actually see up close, a computer s teen & far away in 4 years!!!

We normally go to the Berwyn location but referred to this location for a glaucoma Test. The staff were friendly and accommodating upon arrival. My husband is very nervous and anxious about His exams and the Nurse who took care of Him was very gentle and kept informing Him about the procedures to make him feel at ease. The Doctor is very nice and Although there’s quite a lot of people waiting to be seen, The Doctor took her time to explain to us the situation and answer all our questions and concern, we never felt rushed or confused at all. Very professional and top notch service! We left feeling hopeful knowing that my Husbands eye problem is under the care of trusted Doctor and company. Thank you Rosin!

I'm not sure if the store understands how serious it is to send their patients' personal health info to the wrong people - I called to get a copy of my RX and I was sent 2 other patients' RXs that were saved in my file. They read the RX numbers to me before emailing me and the numbers sounded way off. The title of the pdf was the name of yet a 3rd patient. I called back and they were very nonchalant about the error and just said they'd email me my RX again without the other patients RXs attached. No harm done but not really an error you want to be making with patients' health info.

Every thing is Good.Dr./nurse, staff members all are helping nature.I recommend one lady named Virumati.Bhatt She and her son were also pleased to visit.This time I bought two different glasses for distance and reading, instead of progressive lenses.I have to change glasses ofen.I admit my mistake.Next time I will preferred progressive only. Once again thank you all.

The appt was good, checkin pleasant and quick, eye exam and conversation with doctor was also good. The only issue was how long it took to get an appointment, first one was canceled and had to be rescheduled it was almost 2 months

They got my new glasses for me in a week. They even put a rush in on the order for me because I didn't have a back up pair. Every one in the office was very friendly and professional, and one of them helped me pick out a pair that I loved at a low price.

They were very patient and too all the time we wanted in order to help us make the correct eye frame selection for new doctors.

My son and I have been coming to this Rosin location for over 10yrs. Even though we are no longer living in the area. We keep coming because the staff are so friendly, helpful! I went to Rosin Eyecare for my annual eye appointment. I got in quickly. The exam went smoothly. All my questions were answered. The payment process was quick as well. I felt I received quality care and service.

People are great. They got my glasses Just the prescription I have now One eye far sighted and the other eye near sighted Just hard to see that way. I just can't get used to them 😪

A family member experienced a loss of vision in one eye and I eventually was transferred to the Downer's Grove Rosin Eyecare to see available options. Michelle was proactive to check with the insurance if a check up with an ophthalmologist would be possible, but unfortunately we were out of coverage. Wanted to write this review for being well received over several phone calls and being proactive.

I like the fact that this Frozen is in a more of an upscale professional atmosphere. And the people there are always on top of things yet, they're always so easy going and they'll meet you halfway they like to have fun and it's a relaxing place to be I like that place I like this eyeglass place more than most of the eyeglass places in my whole life.. and I've had them since I was six or seven somewhere in there.. 🤔😏😊The glasses that I'm wearing now or one of my favorite glasses of all times I really had a great experience getting them and the person that help me pick them out, it was a great experience cuz we just clicked on the same thinking of what classes would look good and and fit the best and I'm super pleased with these glasses they're one of my favorite glasses of my whole life you guys are a great place and thank you and I appreciate you guys I love going there I don't ever have a problem if I ever need to go there I know that I'm in good hands thank you guys are awesome stay awesome and keep me people halfway cuz that's awesome you guys are super cool arrive there I look forward to my visits actually when I'm going to my eyeglass appointment I'm like yay I'm going to my eyeglass appointment that's pretty fun so thanks guys keep rocking it's cool keep smiling keep helping other people's smile thanks guys are awesome deserve this kind of opinion or rating.. bye for now until I see you next time..🤔😏😊🤓🥸

Love my new glasses! They came in more quickly than expected. It is harder to select glasses with masks but the technician that helped me gave good advice. I was very appreciative of their expertise with fitting me in a new pair of frames. The clinic has appropriate protocols regarding covid safety.

The staff and doctors are nice, but my visit was in early September and I am still waiting for my glasses. When I called for an update a week ago, nobody could find the order, provide one, even though I’ve paid for them and had the receipt. Now I’m supposed to call back in a few weeks. It’s very frustrating.

I had a sudden problem and when I called for an appt, the receptionist took the time to talk to the doctor and wanted me in like now. Doctor even hung around so I could be seen. Fortunately everything was good but it was a thing that could have been very bad. I returned for my exam, as I was also overdue for glasses and they are right on top of all the COVID precautions. It’s out of my way, I called my usual neighborhood office and they hadn’t opened yet, but I will be happy to take the extra drive out here, def worth the trip for the excellent care.

I visited Rosin for the first time today after seeing multiple eye doctors for a chronic pain issue with my eyes that I've been living with the last 5 years. Dr. Amy VanDenBrook is the first of several doctors I've seen that not only was able to finally diagnose the issue I was having, but provided a comprehensive treatment plan to begin to fix the problem. Her "bedside" manner was incredibly warm and she provided a level of care and understanding of what I've been going through more so than any physician I've seen up to this point. For the first time dealing with this issue, I felt heard and empathized with, which for anyone that has experienced chronic pain of any sort, is difficult to come by. The entire staff was also incredibly welcoming and kind. As someone who rarely goes to the doctor and generally loathes the experience of seeing a physician, this was hands down one of the best experiences I've had and I cannot thank Dr. Amy and her technician Laura for their treatment and kindness. 12/10 recommend to anyone in need of eye care.

I had a problem with my prescription so I called and I was taken the next day. The Doctor saw me gave me another eye exam and corrected the glasses. They were sent in and a few days later I received my new glasses. Thank you Rosin for taking care of my issue in a timely manner.

Everyone who works here is very friendly and are very willing to explain any procedure or answer questions. I really like the new technology they use as well - some crazy machine that takes images of the back of your eye so you don't have to get those awful drops that dilate your eyes all day - and the doctor was super kind and patient. Definitely recommend.

Rosin has been my eye care provider for over 4 years now and will continue to be. every doctor there that I have experienced puts my wants and needs first they have not increased my prescription just because its the norm like some other places nor have they tried to force me into bifocals. Thank you please don't change!!

Staff and Opthalmologist were excellent. The brand of glasses sold resulted in the rating being 4 instead of 5.

Worse customer service. Dont return calls. Had to do my glasses 3 times before I returned them. Not satisfied at all.

My wife is totally frustrated trying to reach the Downers Grove location. She been calling them for 5 days with no response. Occasionally someone will pick up the phone and immediately hang up. I got involved and I called and redialed there number 87 times in a row. The phone rings after 5 rings it always hangs up. Don't walk...run.

The office was very clean and all of the office personel that I dealt with were very kind, accommodating, and professional. I will definitely be returning for my next eye exam and will recommend them to family and friends.

I know a girl by the name Jen responda to this reviews stating “please call me” guess what you call her she never answers and if she does the issue doesn’t get fix. Optometrist was very good. Only issue I had was when I bought year's supply of contact lenses; given a rebate offer, but no rebate code given. I'm going to lose out on $75 rebate

My Father worked there for many years till he passed away. I use to see Dr. Afro to exam me when I would go to get an eye check up. He is now retired ( HAPPY RETIREMENT) I saw a very good caring young lady Catherine Danko, very professional and very good at her job. I’m very satisfied with Rosin Eye Care in Downers Grove Illinois.

Dr. Goldberg has little or no respect for her clients. No excuse is acceptable for bring lste when you are the first client of the day and she makes one wait due to her long drive from home. I would NEVER recommend her to anyone.

The staff are friendly. They make you feel like we’re all family. The Doctor explains everything pertaining to your exam along with providing the appropriate eye care solution. The technicians really try to work within your budget and in displaying/picking out the perfect frames for one’s face.
