This is the worst Petco I have ever been in. I’m not sure if they are understaffed or everyone takes a break at the same time because the staff is hard to find. When you check out you have to wait for the groomers to call someone to ring you up. I understand that the groomers have dogs to attend to but when you ask them to page someone for you or have a question about a product they give you attitude. The shelves are dusty and they have expired products. The first time I found expired dog food on the shelves I bought it to manger Monica’s attention. This last time I went in which was in November I found a whole tray of expired dog food which had expired in March/ April. Almost a year old expired. This is unacceptable! I personally have stop going to this location but if you do shop here make sure to check the expiration date on the products.

The store manager Maraj has no or very little respect for customer's, as he just interrupts my conversation to a associate because he wanted the phone, and we were looking something up. Like he couldn't wait? Very unprofessional poor leadership!

Honestly, I regret taking my poor dog there... the groomer by the name Alex was so mean. Kept yanking at my dog and I saw her yelling at other dogs as well when my dog was taken in the back. So unprofessional. Also heard her say some offensive comments to her employees. I would NOT recommend taking your babies here. Such an abusive environment.

I was there to find a couple of stuff for my fish and lizards and Elizabeth was the perfect assistant for my needs never have I been provided with excellent customer service very knowledgeable person! Last but not least she informed me with top notch advice for my pets I would be coming here from now and not go anywhere else because of her! Petco better keep her for a long time at that hillside location and would be recommending my family and neighbors to that location and Elizabeth as well

Beth groomed our 4 year old dog. She gave him a bath and cut short her beard, feet, and fanny. She did an amazing job. This was our first grooming at PETCO and we will definitely be back! Thanks for everything! Karen Foleno (Luna Foleno's mom)

Great staff! An associate advised me of the Petco Vital Care plan for my small pet (guinea pig) and I really appreciate it. I was able to sign up and SAVE MONEY. Who doesn't love saving money?!

I especially appreciated the cheerful and friendly clerk who checked me out; his enthusiasm was infectious.

Petco as a whole has really gone downhill but especially incompetent is the Hillside location!! Staff are unhelpful and sometimes downright rude. Their vetco staff overcharge and make you feel as though everything they try to shove at you is a must have! Double sold us simparica and charged $47 a pill when their website lists for $29 or 3 month supply for $61! Take your pet anywhere but here if you want actual care!!

I tried to return a defective item, with receipt. The manager refused the return and was rude. I purchased a replacement item, which was on sale. The clerk rang it up at full price. It was only after I said something that he lowered the price to the correct sale price.

I came here to pick up a Doordash order. The place and employees were generally really nice, but the manager was pretty rude and condescending towards me when trying to pick up the items. He scolded me while on the phone for picking them up without his approval when an employee told me to do so. Yikes.

If you need you cat groom or dog, The hillside location does a very professional job. The groomer is kind with my cat. Very professional.

Angelica was super friendly and, completely unwarranted, saved me 20 bucks from my purchase by price matching the item online. 5 stars because you don't see customer service like that anymore (:

I just spoke with Angelica and she provided wonderful customer service over the phone. I was nervous on what to expect for my and my puppy's 1st visit to the vet and I felt so much more at ease after speaking with her. She had a great attitude and was very knowledgeable on the products and services offered at the store. Thank you so much, Angelica truly!

I was treates very rudely by Maraj. He is the store Mgr. I will not shop here anymore because of him. He is condescending to people.

They can improve some of the people are not friendly and you ask a question and they can't tell me anything really can you just try.

I have had numerous visits at this location and not once did I feel ignored or leaving upset. Management and employees are very friendly, understanding and they do listen. The place is clean and organized I just wish they a broader range of fresh-water fish, seems to small for the size of the location.

Giving 5 stars because I went to this Petco first time and the employee Angelica was amazing. Bought my first tank but not sure what fish or supplies to buy and she had a lot of knowledge on all the fish types name tropical or fresh water, and even what products based on the fish..

I've shopped here before, but never review them; Large store, clean, most products are in stock. The service is great, friendly & knowledgeable. This little guy just got his forever home 👍

They get the job done but my reservation some how got canceled and my baby had to wait their 5 hours before she could get groomed. A discount or free upgrade would have been nice seeing how I had the confirmation text message in my phone.

We made an appointment for our German shepherd mix puppy which needed a nail trim. We brought his updated medical history but the person that supposed to do his trimming claimed that his information was not updated but it was ( his vaccines were updated!) and refused to take him. Really disappointed with the treatment we had there and I'm not sure if I will make an appointment at this place again. Thank you.

Had a nice display of fish but wish they had better variety.

I love the groomers here . I love the service because my golden retriever is always taken care of and they get a report card she is well behaved always.
