I
had
a
great
initial
appointment
with
my
therapist
(I
am
not
going
to
put
her
name
here
because
I
understand
that
she
also
was
placed
in
a
difficult
position
where
there
was
no
one
at
the
office
helping
her).
I
came
today
for
my
second
appointment,
only
to
find
that
the
glass
door
is
locked,
and
that
no
one
is
in
the
office
(yet
the
lights
are
all
on—
see
the
photo).
I
thought
it
might
be
some
kind
of
a
mean
Halloween
joke,
but
you
wouldn’t
believe
what
happened.
I
stood
there
for
thirty
minutes
way
past
my
appointment
time
of
10:30am,
thinking
that
maybe
they
went
to
the
bathroom
or
something.
No
one
person
came
or
showed
up.
I
called
their
main
office
phone
number
(which
is
a
different
number
from
the
Paramus
office),
a
very
nice
lady
told
me
that
the
Paramus
office
is
definitely
open,
she
stayed
with
me
on
the
line
while
talking
to
the
manager,
and
trying
to
find
my
therapist
and
the
receptionist…
I
really
thought
this
would
be
the
place
for
me,
especially
since
my
therapist
was
so
kind
during
our
first
appointment.
I
still
couldn't
believe
what
just
happened
and
how
this
is
possible,
except
that
I
came
to
my
appointment
on
time,
waited
outside
the
door
for
thirty
minutes
seeing
that
the
door
is
locked
with
lights
on
(which
really
is
unprofessional),
and
to
be
told
later
that
the
receptionist
took
a
day
off
and
my
own
therapist
was
the
one
who
locked
the
door
(even
though
I
understand
she
didn’t
want
to
fill
in
as
a
receptionist)
is
just
all
too
humiliating
to
me
as
a
mental
health
patient
who
is
trying
to
put
in
the
time
to
come
to
this
appointment
only
to
be
shut
out
like
this…
I’m
just
still
speechless
about
this
whole
experience,
how
this
could
even
happen,
and
why
no
one
called
to
cancel
the
appointment
if
there
is
no
front
desk
receptionist.
I’m
not
one
to
ever
leave
a
negative
review,
but
this
will
be
the
first
bad
review
I
have
to
give.
Very
unprofessional
on
all
fronts
(except
the
nice
lady
who
stayed
with
me
on
the
line
trying
to
help
me
and
comfort
me
while
I
was
waiting
outside
the
office
—
thank
you
for
showing
me
the
compassion.)
