ACCOMPLISHED EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED WITHIN 3 MONTHS! I enrolled my 3.5 year old at the British Swim School. My son was always fearless in the water and very comfortable, and even though I am a good swimmer myself, I was unable to take him over the finish line to actually learning to float or swim. In a few months, we were planning to take several pool/beach vacations, so my goal was that my son would be swimming by the time of those vacations. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. Within three months, my son can jump into the pool, roll over onto his back, float on his back for several minutes and swim on this back all around the pool. The swim coaches are patient and professional. They made my son feel comfortable and talked to him in a way that made him feel confident so he could he achieve his goals. The coaches were also great in giving feedback to parents so I could work with my son on my own. I also carefully observed the lessons so I could replicate the same principles. Coach Jariel is particularly fantastic! Coach J was the main coach working with my son and my son felt very comfortable with him. Coach J was kind to him and patient and worked with him to learn my son's own quirks. The staff is also great. Carla was also great, helping me re-schedule at different locations if necessary. Everyone was professional and courtesy and took their jobs seriously. Highly recommend

My kids take lessons at British Swim School PS 16 location. We really like the instructors - they’re so good with the kids, and have a great system in place about making sure kids master the fundamentals at their level + making the lessons fun + getting the kids comfortable with trying new things. When my kids started, they were afraid to jump into the water or put their head under water; now they love jumping in & getting wet! We especially like Miss Melissa, Mr. Jariel, Miss Jessica and Miss Bibi, but honestly all the instructors are great. Highly recommend!

Here's a special shoutout to Carli and John over at PS16. Having come from a traumatic experience at a previous British Swim location, Carli's energy and efforts has been unmatched. From her exceptional work ethic, positive attitude and how attentive to detail she is amazing. She is always on point and making sure my family is well and situated. John is honestly one of the very best swim instructors at British Swim School. My daughter is 3 and she's a Turtle 1. John was impressed and very patient with her. Great lesson and honest, resourceful feedback was nice to know. Today, he trained my son who's been a Turtle 2 for over 9 months and in that time frame he's had over 5 different swim instructors. Could you imagine how frustrating that is. Well, today I was blown away with swim instructor John at PS16. He taught my son how to tread water in one 30min session. John's presence and structure is so professional. I loved his feedback and knowledge of what my son can work on to help him get better. If it's in John's future to be a swim trainer, I know he'd have a heavy influence in the program.

The staff are all very nice and helpful. My little guy has been with teacher Rose at ps16 over three grades and she has been patient and engaging, he loves it.

I've enrolled my 3YO son for about a year now and his swim skills have grown exponentially. When he started he was uncomfortable with the water even touching his face and now has progressed to floating by himself and learning how to propel himself while back floating. The instructors are very kind, patient, and fun. The staff are always helpful, especially in keeping the pool area organized and helping you find makeup classes (if needed). Highly recommend!

Employees at this location are phenomenal! && my daughters instructors (regular & subs) are always so good with the kids! Friendly, patient, accomodating, welcoming, the list goes on! Thank you all for being so great ☺️

The British Swim School program at PS 16 in Jersey City is exceptional! The instructors are incredibly patient and encouraging, creating a safe and supportive environment for the kids to learn and enjoy swimming. My child's confidence and skills have improved significantly, and they look forward to every session. Highly recommended for any young swimmer!

Kids been in British swim in ps16 for months and we are very happy with the progress. They love Ms Tiara and improve so much and so fast under her guidance. She’s friendly but firm, and has a way with the kids. Another shout out for Ms Chrysler who is so fun and energetic and kids enjoy and laugh in the pool with her! Other teachers are also very nice too. Staff are so friendly and helpful :) always trying to find best solution for us and I really appreciate it. Definitely recommend this swim school in the 07302 area!

We enrolled our child on 12/22, we were hoping to get him started on the New Year, unfortunately he was unable to start a single class, because these were cancelled. The P.S 16 classes were cancelled within hours notice and rerouted to La Quinta in Secaucus, NJ. We even rescheduled one of the classes for the weekend at the Waldo school, which we had to cancel due to covid exposure, but it didn't matter, because this class was also cancelled. I have submitted a cancellation request within the 30 day window. We were looking forward to have our child attend BSS, but unfortunately asking parents who have conveniently scheduled classes close by, to drive half hour away can be inconvenient. As a parent of a toddler and an infant this was a bit much for us, as I would have to schedule extra care time for my infant at home, since I would have to drive my toddler to Secaucus for swim class, this is not counting the traffic jams at 1/9 and Holland on our way back downtown. We were looking for something close by and convenient, and this unfortunately has not worked out.

Jariel is the best coach ever our daughter has master all her skills because of him. We are so thankful for the British swim specially coach Jariel

I have enrolled my twins here and they love the swim class here. The instructor(miss tiara) is very lovely and patient with my twins and the staff miss carli and miss shemina is very kind and always there for us. Thank you!!

Very happy to see my girls (4& 6 year old) learn to swim at British swim school. I have seen steady improvement in their skills over last 3 months. Instructors follow a well defined curriculum with clear milestones, so even if we see an instructor leave/ change there is not much of an impact to the continuity. Staff (esp. Harley) has been very helpful with scheduling and managing absences.

The nicest way to start the day. My daughter would come here every day for swim lessons if she could. The instructors are all excellent, especially Ms Scarlett who my daughter adores. Thank you for a wonderful intro into swimming.

Instructors barely pay attention and actually teach anything new. compared to my previous swim lessons I had with different org, the focus on actually teaching and use of swim time should be improved. I’m not getting my money’s worth. The bathroom is in terrible shape, no doors or privacy, junk stored in bathroom …not sure how customers are expected to use it in such condition

I’m very happy with the swim school, great attention and very patient. Miss Jessica is amazing. My daughter loves taking classes with her. The staff outside the water (Miss Erika, Miss Carli, And Miss Shay) are very helpful and outstanding; always available to answer any questions I have. Their customer service is top notch.

My son has been taking swim classes at the British Swim School PS 16 since December 2021 and has made fantastic progress! He started as a Minnow, completely unable to float on his back, and now he is at Shark 1, perfecting all four of his swim strokes. All swim instructors are amazing. They are very passionate about kids' success and treat them with love and patience. My son loves having classes with John, Jariel, and Jessica! The admin staff is also wonderful, special shout-outs to Shay, Carli, Michelle, and Juri. They are always friendly and professional. You can always count on them to answer all the questions and help you with rescheduling.

My son has joined British swim school may 2022 and I do not have words to express my happiness after joining this school, they actually treat kids with lot of affection and care and love. My son loves his instructor Mr Jariel very much. As soon as he arrives for his class I can see his eyes looking for Jariel. I feel my son is fortunate to be part of this school. The overall swim school environment is so positive, staff at school is also very friendly and good. I am so happy that my soon to be 5 year old is part of this swim school
