WORST salon experience of my life!!!!! I went for a pretty standard service - highlights and a haircut - and came out with BLACK hair and a burned scalp. My scalp was literally on fire from harsh chemicals being used and left on on my scalp for too long. My hair looks awful and after spending over $1,000 ($500 for the highlights, $325 for haircut + tips) I’m left with a disaster that needs to be corrected and a burned scalp. I’m in utter disbelief that a “high-end” salon could do this. The stylist I used, Nicole, seemed to only be able to handle blonde hair color, and any variation from that is impossible and turns into a disaster. I don’t write reviews very often, but felt compelled given my HORRENDOUS experience.

Valery joseph is my go-to place in nyc. Really the best consistently for cut and color and when I’m in nyc I book a blow-out every 5th day and always have great hair. I have not found this level of result and service at any other salon in New York City or America to be honest. 10/10 and an A+ for consistency

I have been going to Valery Joseph for 18 years for my color and my cuts and always get stopped and asked where I l get my hair done. Everyone I have ever sent has become a lifetime fan like myself. Not only is every stylist incredibly talented but everyone is incredibly friendly. I have tried every high end salon in NYC and LA and I don’t think any other compares. Watching Valery cut hair is watching a gifted artist at work but everyone is absolutely amazing! My son and daughter go too for cuts and they are very picky! My mother even goes and the way they have treated her so respectfully is truly heartwarming. The management is so professional and accommodating and patient, they always find a way to fit you in even when they are busy. In all my years I have almost never had to wait. I can honestly say there is no where else I would go and I cannot recommend Valery Joseph enough! I am a Valery Jospeh junkie!

I have been going to VJ salon for as long as I can remember! Nicole colors my hair and has the best eye for color. Plus she has the best personality and so patient. She is not just a colorist she is a friend! Sofiya gives the best pedicures and leaves your feet buttery soft. I always leave color options up to her. She also does the best brow shape. Haircuts are meticulous and you don’t ever leave the salon without looking and feeling your best. Tal-or saw what I needed with my hair and transformed my look into exactly the style it needed.

For ten years I have trusted this marvelous salon.. they have been accommodating any time and my hair always looks fabulous.. every beautician and colorist is talented and the people at the desk are extraordinarily pleasant and helpful. Particularly thank you Roi for going out of your way to make sure I am taken care of !!!

Valery is the only person I let cut my hair. Not only is he the best at cutting hair, but he is also the kindest person. So much love & great energy at the salon ❤️

My favorite salon in NYC - from the haircuts to hair color, manicures and pedicures, and makeup - they are the best. They also work to accommodate my schedule. They are friendly and care about the work that they do. Love them all!

When the personal shopper at Saks asks you where you got your hair done, you know you've been to the best! Hands down no other salon to go to in NYC especially if you color and keratin your hair!!!

Stunning salon, beautiful, clean, excellent service, amazing staff, professional, courteous, pampering service experience, clean towels are washed and dried on site, excellent bedding materials, while you are bathing, you receive a head massage. Comfortable and pampering overlapping chairs. In short, an experience worth any price
