Hyatt doesn’t have a quiet policy. There is a “private” event going on right now (11:58pm) that’s music is so loud it is vibrating the windows. No communication was provided that this event would be going on so we could request a quiet zone room. We were told that the hotel didn’t need to communicate this. Rates for this weekend are spiked for the neighboring festival and so I am getting no sleep because it’s a private event and they are entitled to do as they please. Front desk and customer service said they would register our complaint but that since it is a private event, there was nothing that could be done.

Friendly and helpful staff, great hot breakfast. Room was nice and spacious with fridge but I think no microwave. Pull out sofa bed made-up with linens and king bed. Bathroom counter space good, toilet and shower area a bit tight. Room and common areas showing a bit of wear but not too bad.

Terrible. Reserved a room with 2 beds. Received a room with 1 bed. Elevator smelled awful. I was told the managers, Antonio or Dave would call me back multiple times. Left multiple messages and was promised a refund as soon as the manager called. Still have not received that call. Currently out the price for 2 hotel stays because we had to go to another hotel to find a room with 2 beds. Paid $500 for a room we couldn’t stay in. Do NOT stay here.

Such an amazing property! Best hotel breakfast I've ever had! They use real eggs instead of processed. The in house restaurant and bar were amazing too and super reasonable prices. Hands down one of the best.

The hotel itself is nice enough & has comfortable rooms. Unfortunately some of the main staff were terrible people. When we arrived they tried giving us a room that had giant pee stains on the floor & smelled horrible of urine. We chose this hotel because I have a friend who works here, she told us that room needed a deep carpet cleaning & the front desk was aware of that, but they still tried giving out the room multiple times. Of course everyone who was placed there immediately requested a room change. We were given an adequate alternative room right away, but I was shocked that this was a known issue yet staff repeatedly try putting guests in a room with old urine stench. On our last day, during breakfast they ran out of plates, which is understandable for a very busy morning, however breakfast ended at 9a & multiple families had been waiting for new plates to be put out since 8:30a, when 9 came around staff began removing the food, & when guests politely expressed how they had been waiting for new plates to get food the staff member was immediately visibly agitated & had a very bad attitude & told them to "talk to management." I understand if this issue was beyond their hands & they had to follow rules to remove the food at 9, but I saw no alternative action made for the guests who were left without eating breakfast. I recommend the amenities but the service & staff made the stay feel very hostile.

Quiet location in a business/office park, accessible to restaurants and other services. Rooms are nice, clean, and modern. Staff are very professional, pleasant, and accommodating. Gee-Gee was a pleasure to work with during my check in process and all throughout my stay! It was nice that she also remembered me on my return. I will stay at this hotel every time I'm the area in business.

The best thing about it is that it was very convenient to where I was needing to be. Also, the breakfast is absolutely stellar – the best I’ve seen anywhere. the bed is very nice, But the sofa and chairs aren’t very comfortable.. Upkeep on the whole place is below average—There’s always something wrong with something. it took days to get a microwave delivered to my room. The people at the desk range from being very pleasant and engaging to downright rude. I will say that the manager went out of his way to help me replace meds that the housekeeper had inadvertently knocked into my sink. That was super.

The staff here are amazing! The breakfast both tastes great and sits well - perfect for travel! The rooms are quite nice and even though we are relatively near an airport, I have not had any sound issues. Although I am on a low floor so it might vary. The atmosphere and people running the facility have been most delightful!

We have been coming to this hotel for about 10 years every time we are in Chicago. We like that is far from the traffic in a beautiful area and that we can take the train and be in the city in 45 minutes. Rooms are clean and even though are "old" they have everything you need for our stay. Breakfast is included and that is a plus as we don't want to leave the hotel and find something to eat. Fully recommend!

We had a room on the 2nd floor and the spotlights flooded our room at night, it was so bright at night that I couldn’t sleep the first couple nights. We couldn’t change rooms as the hotel was full. Finally had to order an eye mask to be delivered the same day via Amazon, slept better. The mattresses are old, they’re due for replacement. The breakfast food was great, lots of good options. Customer service was great. Overall, an OK stay.

A good Hyatt place. Breakfast was a bit chaotic. There were a lot of guests so I guess I can't blame them but they ran out of plates for a while and it was very crowded. The room was clean and had everything you expect from a Hyatt place. Service was good.

I decided to book this hotel mainly because of the good reviews here with great breakfast. It's good but I probably will not book in the future if I have a late flight as it's a little bit far from the airport which I also have other good options near O'Hare. The room is big and comfortable. Beautiful view and clean. However, after we checked in after 9pm to be in our room, we found out the heater system was not working. Their in room phone was also not working so we basically needed to go to the lobby to report the issue. We just didn't bother as we were all very tired after the international traveling. The breakfast is indeed pretty good. Nice, home kitchen style display made is feel at home. Hashbrowns, cage free boiled eggs and sausage links were great. They also have great coffee, juice and milk options. It's really the top for breakfast included hotels. The oatmeal though was so dry. Brown sugar also was in clumps. I needed to add milk. Gym is 24/7. Indoor pool is awesome for my kids as well. Will recommend. It's nice to stay when we were flyingg back for Thanksgiving day!

I was excited to have breakfast until a 10 yr old sneezed all of the food. Kids were everywhere and so unsanitary. Also I was charged $100 deposit and called about getting it back. One lady started to look into it and said she would call me back but never did. I still don't know if my account has been credited back the $100. I have to call my bank and find out what is going on. This is 2 weeks after my 2 hotel visits.

Ice makers don’t work. The Placery is advertised as open 24/7, however, closed by 7pm. Out of limes and lemons for their drinks they advertise. Had to walk to the front desk and request a refill at the bar- while there was a full bar. The staff for the bar were very uneducated with their drink options and how to make it. Out of bottles of water. Just nothing I expected.

This hotel is really conveniently located near to O'Hare Airport and also close to the City centre (traffic dependent!). The rooms were large both in a standard King room and in the 2x double bed suite. They were also very clean and tidy - always a bonus! Bathrooms are on the small side, but this is compensated by a) a large shower and b) the sink being outside the bathroom. Good breakfast served daily with some variation, at times the staff are slow to keep everything stocked but it will be eventially. Staff themselves are very pleasant and very welcoming. Hotel also has a mini shop on site too for all amenities and drinks etc. All in all - a great stay!

First off, this was one of the cleanest hotels I have been in recently. That alone makes it a good choice. We didn't arrive until almost midnight and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The staff the next morning we're also helpful and friendly. Thank you for a pleasant breakfast. Their free breakfast is a real breakfast, eggs, sausage, potatoes, toast, bagels, cereal, juices, milks, etc. Here are my three complaints. First, curtains are not blackout. Arriving at midnight we were hoping to sleep in. The curtains allow way to much light through. Not a deal breaker most of the time. Second, no USB ports, regular plugs are not easily accessible next to both sides of the beds. This is just one of those things hotel management has to update. It's necessary for most guests. Third, if you need privacy for changing clothes, this is not the hotel to stay in. Our room was huge. But the layout was terrible. I loved that the toilet and tub were behind a closed door while the sink and counter were not. This allows a guest to brush teeth, curl hair, put on makeup, etc while someone is showering or using the toilet. However, the bathroom was so tiny the door missed the toilet seat by a few centimeters. There was nowhere to put clean clothing or anything else while showering. My husband and I were here with two teen daughters and our nine year old son. Trying to shower and dress in a room so small with no shelving was extremely frustrating. We couldn't exit the bathroom to dress because obviously our teen daughters shouldn't see their dad undressed. A nine year old boy shouldn't see his mother undressed. Nor should he see his teen sisters undressed. This is a deal breaker for us in the future. There was so much unused space in the area of the room where the couch was that these rooms should have been designed differently. We cannot stay here again with children/teens because it just doesn't work for dressing privacy. I know the staff and even local management can't resolve this. It's too bad because this hotel has a great staff doing a great job.

I told Steven the clerk that this was my first time staying at a Hyatt. He answered all my questions and was very polite and friendly. He signed me up for rewards member as well. After getting in my room, I noticed there was no microwave. I went back up to the desk and Steven said only suite rooms had microwaves. He checked for a suite that was not in service and went and got the microwave and brought it to my room. I've never been treated better at a hotel. Steven went over and beyond for me. I also ordered food and it was delicious. The Beyond Burger was a pleasant surprise and it was great. My only complaint was that I didn't get any room service for my 3 day stay but I managed without it. The room was well equipped for just me for 3 days. I loved my experience here and will be staying again.

Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Room and entire hotel was very clean. Breakfast is the exact same everyday and typical for a mid priced hotel. They have a very well stocked snack shop and a bar that serves drinks and some food. The only complaint I have, and it’s not the hotel’s fault is the constant planes flying over going in for landing at O’Hare. I would definitely pick this hotel again if I had to stay in the same area again.

I gave this 5 stars with some reservations. It appears that some areas of the hotel and the rooms have been updated; however, other areas have not been updated and could use to be refreshed. I was here on business and did not use either the pool or the fitness room. My room was comfortable and typical of a Hyatt Place. The sofa appeared to be new and the end table did not. It looked tired and worn. The breakfast was typical of a Hyatt Place which means it is a step up from your standard hotel breakfast. For this reason, if the room rate is comparable I'll stay in a Hyatt House or Hyatt Place anytime over the others. I found the hotel to be conveniently located for my needs. The staff was mostly very friendly and helpful. If the room rate is similar the next time I'm in the Chicago area, I will stay here.

Was only there for an evening event, so not much interaction with the service staff, but judging from the cleanliness, modern feel, and plush room interior, I'm sure it's first class! Very easy to get to centrally located. Excellent easy free parking. Saw families w kids in pool/ play attire. Smooth running elevators clean quiet well lit hallways. Very safe secure upscale neighborhood...

Great place to stay. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Building/rooms/hallways were all very clean. Bathrooms have an exhaust fan!! Always a plus for me. Downside to the room was the lack of outlets/wall chargers. Bring a power strip and extension cable if you have lots of things to charge as the rooms have a shortage of these. Breakfast was good. Pool water was warm. Not very toddler friendly but that's ok so long as you watch your kid(s) and have them wear life jackets. Not too far from downtown and although its close to the airport noise was not an issue. Recommend and will prob stay here again.

We only stayed one night for a wedding nearby and it was delightful. Happy and helpful staff, super comfy bed and clean room & the free breakfast included was delicious. We will definitely be back if we are ever in the area again!

Very impressed at how nice the rooms were here and how large they are. The only issue we had during our stay was when we checked in and got in our room someone had smoked in the bathroom and it smelled very bad. We did not want to get charged for this so we went down to the desk to let them know. They offered to move our room but we had already moved our stuff in so we declined. The smell eventually dissipated. The only other comments I would leave is that I think the bathroom needs a little bit of a brighter light. It was pretty dim. Other than that, the room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast offered daily was very good for a hotel breakfast with lots of hot options as well as cereal, oatmeal, fresh fruit, and their coffee was actually pretty tasty. Overall, it was a very nice hotel that we will stay at when we are in the area again.

The hotel is overall a good stay and value. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The primary negative issue experienced with the layout was my 1st floor room located on a hallway connected to both the lobby and the elevators. This made for 3 noisy nights where all voices, laughing, yelling, and kids screaming echoed directly down the hall and into my room. Even a white noise filter on my phone was not enough to drown it out. A hallway door installed between the rooms and the fitness center would really help keep the noise down. The secondary issue is a bit less important but still a drawback. The lack of power outlets in the room proved difficult to use a laptop for working. Even at the desk in the room there was no power outlet to use and had to work at a different location within the room.
