I was so excited to check this place out and it was an absolute mess. Food and service was terrible. I couldn’t even eat my meal, and when the waitress asked if I wanted a box I said no. I then over heard her telling the other staff members that she was highly insulted that we weren’t taking the food home. The staff also seemed to not have any direction. They couldn’t tell who was assigned to which tables. It was such a mess and disappointment.

Sushi was really good. We had the St Charles roll and the Las Vegas roll. Stir fry was pretty good but I would definitely recommend sushi over stir fry. Crab Rangoon was pretty standard. Fun atmosphere and decor. I felt like it was a little over-priced.

First I would like to start out by saying WOW!!! The food here is absolutely amazing. @woknfire ROCKS !!! Excellent food, great ambience, and outstanding service. The food was delicious and nicely presented. The dishes were bursting with flavors. The menu is broad enough to cover all taste and preferences. Tried the chicken lettuce wraps, grilled salmon, and Szechuan stir fry with lo mein. Will be back here to try the Sushi next time. Good find in the Barrington, IL area.

Have been a huge fan of this place for years. My review has nothing to do with our experience or the food. Our server was amazing as always! I’m just disappointed that the TV’s all over the restaurant featured non-stop video of several lavish vacations that the owner went on with his family on their private jet. Partying hard and lounging at 5 star all inclusive resorts in exotic locations. Just a very weird video to put on display for your guests and especially your staff that works so hard everyday to provide for their families. Very telling of the owners character.

The service was on the slower side of (barely) acceptable, but our server was pretty cool and welcoming nonetheless. Wok N Fire's problem is that the food is mediocre at best. We ordered sticky wings as appetizers, which came sort of cold, and did not taste fresh or juicy at all. You also only get six little wings for your $12...like, really? The sushi was okay, but the stir fry was closer to being like a bland slop, rather than a flavorful tangy dish with a little crisp where needed in the veggies. Not sure we will be seeking to go back there any time soon...

Very poor service. Expensive for the portion as well. The caramelized bananas were sour because the fruit was not ripe. I had to cut them like a well-done steak to eat. The coconut Shrimp was good, hence the 2*. For my to-go the waiter asked me if I want fried rice or plain rice, I answered fried rice and I paid extra for it. But I got plain white rice. Got robbed there. Never going back.

Great atmosphere. Food is delicious! Cocktails were refreshing and yummy. Quick and friendly service. Nice outdoor patio facing one of the courtyards and the movie theater.

Incredibly average. My experience was lackluster at best at this restaurant. Numerous items were unavailable off the menu and they somehow didn’t carry any hot sauce. The items that we did order were bland to mild at best, which is very disappointing for a restaurant that is supposed to be serving high level Asian cuisine. The service was good, which is the only thing that saved my experience. Overpaying for average food is a major pet peeve of mine and this one was a shining example of that.

The sushi was fresh and my hubby said the pad Thai was the best he's ever had. I really enjoyed the crab cake hand rolls as an appetizer. Will definitely go back!

I came here to order the Crab Rangoon. I waiting 30 minutes and got charged $29 dollars…just for my food to be burned! They stapled my bag up and gave me the food in a hurry as if I wasn’t going to check the food before leaving. I tried to come back in and tell them they burned my food, the lady told me “it’s supposed to be cooked that way”. I am so disappointed being that this was my first time trying out this “restaurant”. If you want good customer service and good crab Rangoon, go to Ton-Ichi Ramen!

The vegan salmon and avocado roll looked so realistic and tasted great too! The vegan Thai wings were worth coming back for. Also if you want something hot to drink, both the green tea and raspberry hot sake make excellent pairings. The food may be definitely pricey, but the taste is worth it!

The waiting staff was amazing! The assistant GM was checking in and making sure everything was great! Our food was fresh and amazing. Atmosphere outside was perfect! I also let my friends who are vegan know they have many options for them as well!

My husband surprised me this Saturday for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. Our waitress Agne V was very friendly and attentive. Our food and drinks came pretty quickly and so good!! We ordered sushi and shared a stir fry, which our waitress so kindly divided it for us. The atmosphere was very clean, calm, and beautiful inside! We will definitely be going back! -The Alba family

Food is consistently salty! We decided to give them another try being that the weather was bad, and we live close by. We were very clear, not to add salt. When my husband got there, they had given him an incorrect meal, so he had to wait until they remade it. I couldn't even finish my meal. It was very salty, and unappetizing!! They even put tofu in our chicken lettuce wraps. This place has really gone downhill! We will not eat here again, and will advise our neighbors to do the same! Way over priced for the poor quality of food!!

Pad Thai was delicous maybe a little mushy? Still great and the bartender with the beard and freckles was super helpful. The lantern room was super pretty and they have a nice sake selection

We ordered veg fried rice with no egg and thai red currywith the side of lo mien noodles. Everything tasted good, only disappointed with noodles being mixed with the curry as i wanted to eat my curry separately. Will try more dishes as they have ample of amount cuisines to choose from. Veg and vegan options available.

Went here for the first time last night. It was delicious. Food and drinks were refreshing and made fresh.

I wish give this place 5 stars because of very nice stuff and the best fried rice I ever had, but I was disappointed happy hour policy, didn’t make sense for me. I ordered chicken fried rice on happy hour cost 10$ but I’m allergy for all vegetables besides white onions so I ordered without vegetables just chicken and onions and they charge me 13$ (regular price) because of custom order. I could understand when restaurants charging when someone ordering something additional but charging more just because someone want less products doesn’t make sense for me

I work in the area, come here to sit at the bar and get my sushi fix! The bartender is always the sweetest person. The staff is one of the best teams ever. I've never eaten something there that I don't love! After sixteen years of living in Hawaii I finally found my favorite place to get fresh fish in Illinois! Thank you!

We went to the new STC location and it feels like a “college cafeteria” and the food had tanked from the previous location. We went back a second time to overlook the environment and the food was terrible again. We went to the location here and EVERYTHING IS BETTER. The environment is calm, inviting, and classy to enjoy dinner. JAY, our waiter went ABOVE AND BEYOND. He gives recommendations and was an A+ waiter. Our food was absolutely amazing from appetizer to dessert!! The homemade ginger ale was to die for! If you want an experience and delicious food, come here and REQUEST JAY. 🤩

From the time we were greeted by Debbie the hostess my son and I had a very enjoyable meal. Both Kevin our server along with Debbie took excellent care of us. Best part the food was delicious! Wish I lived closer.

Food is always great when we come to this location even though it was Wednesday and there was a lot of traffic going on due to the event at the center of the Arboretum we were seated right away ( We were thankful- we were starvinggg) Ken, the manager came up and took our drink order right away. Our server was also nice but Ken seemed to be very hands on and attentive. Thank you Ken for your service!:)

Agne was amazing so was our vegan Szechuan beef and the best martinis ever!!! thank you very much we will be back to try the vegan Thai wings!

The food was pretty good but the service was very odd. In the beginning the waiter kept checking on us if we needed anything, which we did need to replace an order Bc my friend can’t eat chicken which she clarified but they still put chicken. then after that We sat for hours after we finished eating until we noticed the server never checked on us to give us the bill. We had to ask another worker how were supposed to pay since we were expecting the server to walk by so we can ask for the bill. I felt like we were forgotten about at the end but at the same time we did enjoy our time sitting outside for a while and no one bothered us.

Had a great first-time experience here. It was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. Food was delicious, service was amazing (thanks Agne!), and atmosphere was fun. We sat outside but there was plenty of seating inside as well. Will be back to try more items from the menu, which had so many options. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for an Asian restaurant!

The food was good. Service was so so. We sat on the patio and the server was not attentive. There was no plates, silverware or napkins given. When you have kids, you need napkins. No refills on the drinks either.

We used to come here often years ago. It’s probably been 2-3 years since we’ve been back. To say we’re disappointed with the food, staff, and environment is an understatement. Our server seemed less than thrilled to be there. It was almost uncomfortable. The manager came out because I mentioned that meant to order something else and she was just very short with us and seemed extremely annoyed about having to do anything. I didn’t even ask for a new order, I just asked for a side of something. The food was barely warm. It was just overall a very underwhelming and blah experience. Definitely won’t be coming back as it’s not worth the money we spent.

Very disappointed. Order regularly from Wok N Fire, but this was the first time ordering the sweet and spicy. Poor quality. Comparable to discount frozen meal.

My daughter and I had a lovely time. The waiter was amazing with suggestions and took out allergy issues (both shrimp and avocado) seriously. He personally told the cook. The decor is also adorable.
