Extremelly expensive. Quality is average. They want to make big money quickly. They overcharge and make huge Bills for doctors you have never seen or who never treated you. You are treated by students who dont have experience and you serve as a model to train. Later you receive a bill for 3 different doctors you have never seen and they charge you 3 times more than normal price for services Scam place. Avoid it if you can. They charge 60.000 Euros for surgery and patient dies anyway. Rude shameful fraud in white gloves.

Big disappointment. Their operators gave wrong information on the phone and scheduled for me an operation without even having scheduled the necessary steps before it. On the day of the operation, they discovered it could not be done because they had skipped the preparation part which I was never told about. They wasted my time. So now my next operation is schedule in 3 months because they have no availability. I must wait all this long for their mistake... Also, good luck in finding a doctor that visits you. The majority of the tasks are done by students or newly graduates supervised by a doctor. The issue is, the senior doctor is never there...

Well, rating of this hospital is not surprising at all. Extremely poor service and impolite staff. I witnessed a situation in ‘Urgance’ when a pregnant women from Ukraine was refused to get admission for a treatment without prepayment of 100€. They totally ignored the fact, that she obtained all necessary papers for legal temporary protection in Belgium. The women (37th week of pregnancy) was crying out of pain while two staff members from the counter were still asking to pay 100€ before any admission. Inacceptable and shame of you Saint-Luc. HUMAN BEING FIRST NOT YOUR MONEY! Especially for these, who escaped the war. I will never put my foot again in your hospital and will will submit an official claim.

The best health care sistem but if we talk about the organisation, about long hours to wait in order to get a scan, consult or treatment and the price of parking that you have to pay in top of all is drove you in to insane! We are people not numbers . If short in personal employed , let parking free, put a call pager to not wait in a small dark room in order to have a pleasant experience even that we have to wait. For the feedback, i have my father with 2 fracture and we live close to Charleroi. So impossible to take the bus.

One of the biggest hospital in Brussels. Services are very good. Entire process was very quick and systematic. You don’t need to worry about that. Due to construction- Entrance of this hospital is little tricky. So you have to enter from back door take lift or Stairs towards “S” then move via foot over bridge to hospital. Once you enter take left turn and go to vending machine. Use your RP card and visit to specific doctor by entering your registry on respective Desk.

Bad services at main hotline. Service lady picked up the call with no manner! I firstly asked permission if I can speak English to her, after got agreed, I started my question. But without waiting for me to finish, line got forward to a machine! Twice... :( She is so not willing to speak English nor willing to offer help at all. Does it mean non French or Dutch speaker are not considered equally to get treatment?! Doctors are nice in hospital, hotline should provide a better level of service to match the hospital standard! Very Disappointed!!!

Useless emergency hospital made to wait in small room with my child and others for almost 4 hours and finally a student did consultation and asking 108 euro not at all fair. Also by the time consultation was completed the pharma was closed 🤨. Such a waste and felt will get more disease as waiting with other patients.

My review is addressed to one particular staff member from HospiDay. Very rude, arrogant lady, she hang up the phone while I was trying to have a conversation with her. Very dismissive saying (in french) that she did not have time to be on the phone with me as she had other 30 patients to call. As per her words -she was all alone. This awful lady (unfortunately non of her colleagues wanted to give out her name), zero empathy and zero customer oriented skills, zero sense of respect. She was completely going overboard…talking over me so I could not speak at all and I’m the end she hang up on me. One of the values of this hospital is RESPECT, you see everywhere around the hospital “being agressif doesn’t take you anywhere”, POLITESSE is the key. Then why is this lady still working there if she doesn’t fit the profile? She even dared to say if we don’t pay the “estimation” that same day she would cancel the surgery and the patient (my relative) would “rester comme ça”. This kind of behaviour is unacceptable from a health care institution. The Hospital’s mission is to “take care of patients” clearly in real life the story is different. Money first, they may well refuse you assistance if you don’t pay beforehand. While being in the phone with her I was thinking about patients that are undergoing serious health issues, having to deal with this nasty person! Poor them. I’m sending a formal complaint to the hospital and hopefully they will address the issue and call out to this lady.

It's taken me four years to calm down enough after my experience with St Luc to write this review. Sunmary: IMO It's an insurance racket. I refuse to return. Never again shall I go to St Luc. Four years have past and I still feel abused. After an operation, I presented to their casualty with complications. I explained clearly the problem, and each person refused to believe me. They refused my admission to ER, and sent me to dentistry after I stated a dentist cannot help, and I clearly stated the specialist required. Each department I had to see referred me to another after they admitted I was in the wrong place. Finally I saw the correct doctor who quickly stabilized my condition. This dr could not understand why they sent me on a wild goose chase: I think I know why, because a few months later I had the bill for each department they sent me to. They wanted extra money by billing me for more services whilst jeopardising my health. I refuse to return. Never again shall I go to St Luc. Four years have past and I still feel abused.

Avoid this hospital. I'm went to the emergency because I am pregnant and I was in pain, I waited for 2 hours and no one saw me. The nurses said it was a full and busy day but I could hear them talking and laughing. I was the only person waiting for maternity care. I left this hospital and went to Delta.

Went to the emergency for internal bleeding. Waited for hours before the doctor came to see me. They forgot me... UNBELIEVABLE! I was really upset. Is this the so called reference hospital of the capital of Europe? Sic!!

I came here after having scheduled an appointment. They couldn't find the reservation, meaning that now I have to go back home - and I had even asked for a day off to my employer. Not serious.

It's easy to get five stars from me, but this was a three star visit at best. It took five hours to get a COVID test even though the place was not busy. I was left in a storage room back in the corner on a hard plastic chair until I finally lay on the floor until one in the morning. I asked for medication just to discover that I had been prescribed aspirin, which I can't take, not COVID meds, which might have helped. But the people were nice. Nice is good.

Low quality service, no attention to patients, poor administration, young assistants who absolutely don’t care about patients, some personnel are rude… this clinic is not the same as it used to be. Avoid it if you can!

I had minor surgery done which went well but apart from that there’s so much wrong: for appointments even if you’re before/on time, you have to wait for over 1 hour!! I was told I won’t be able to play for 6weeks after the surgery when it was actually 6 months (because the doctor got confused in the translation!!) No one cares about being on time. It’s frustrating!

Humanity and kindness throughout. Every single person I had contact with was kind and solicitous. This is the second time I go to the St Luc ER and everyone was at the top of their game. Thank you

Been using this hospital since a very young age, always quality treatment, competency and respectful towards patients. In 40 years never one problem only problems solved.

Extremelly bad parient care, this is the most INHUMAN hospital yet, I HAVE BEEN DENIED TREATMENT TWICE. The first time I had a referal from an Orthopedic surgeon and tried to book an appointment with the Kinisietherapie department. I was denied an appointment as the refering doctor was not a St Luc doctor, like it really makes any difference. The first appointment they had with their own orthopedic specialist was 4 weeks later so I luckily took my business else where. Yesterday I went to the emergency room after visiting my doctor who gave me a request for an URGENT echographie, due to a potential hernia on a previous operations' incision and in the emergency room the doctor that was treating me told me that the Radiologist did not want to scan me, unless I had a perforation, so they gave me a blood test to make sure I wouldnt die right there and sent me off... after 4 hrs of waiting. So unless you are at death's door and be lucky to get an appointment in time be prepared to be simply ignored and let to suffer or go someplace else.

21 years ago was my premature baby was born in Belgium in another small city and transferred to Saint Luc hospital . More than 2 month my baby was in neonatal care, the nurses taught me how to bath and care for my child. I remember their kindness until now. I was lonely foreigner, my husband was away, he visited sometimes. I was depressed, someone noticed and psychotherapist came to me to talk . I thank all doctors , nurses, heart surgeons who made surgery on my child. Thank you for your kindness and for doing excellent job saving people. The best hospital in Europe . That premature 1 kg child turned out to be healthy, very smart , studying medicine in USA and wants to become cardiologist .

OUTRAGEOUS! Went there for a consultation, the problem comes when receiving the bill. I was charged an extra 15 EUR for consultation and 17,96 EUR for medical supplies. When asked what was this about (I just talked to the doctor, no screening or other materials involved), they promised to remove the cost of materials, but the 15 EUR supplement has to be paid, because, in that timeframe (10.30 AM - ...), the doctor was not 'conventioned' (!!!). No mention about this when making the appointment or on their website...

Appointment at 10, I arrive there at 9:45, I have to get through 2 receptions asking the same information provided over the phone (name, surname, identity card), it's now 10:50 and I'm still waiting. 50 minutes waiting, FIFTY, as in FIVE multiplied by TEN.

I went to this hospital for a business visit. It is a Very nice hospital, staff is friendly. Easy to navigate. Plenty of options available to have a small meal in the main atrium. There is no covered parking. Well connected to public transport. There is a taxi stand just outside the main entrance. Prices at visitor restaurant are quite reasonable.

Followed for many years, I regularly meet many people who work in this hospital and over time, I am each time a little more admiring of the competence, dedication and kindness of everyone in this gigantic organization and this, despite the distress and despair of certain patients who demand care, often justified, sometimes with great emotion. Congratulations to everyone and courage.

Great care, just top notch. Given the size, it is sometime hard to navigate. Building is not a prettiest, but stuff is super professional. If you need a real care, with follow up, it is the place to go.

Professional, excellent facilities but very expensive parking.

  • 1/5 Graham F. 2 years ago on Google
Lack of disabled parking, not enough parking passes for disabled per day, queue to get in, massive delay in invoicing, staff overworked, lack of care interest of patients. Works more like a business than a hospital, as soon as they have your money you are dismissed, without follow up.

Nothing saintly about my experience during my unexpected stay at this creepy institution called "Saint-Luc". I fainted at the airport during my flight transfer and was taken there and was forced to stay a night. Nobody speaks Dutch, and it's all about the money. I had nothing since I left all in my luggage. The most worrying is the fact that they came at night and gave me some vaccine shot, something I would never accept if asked. That was a year before the Covid plandemic, and I fear they might've given me something experimental like that mRNA depopulation weaponry or God knows what... I'm against vaccination especially if forced and without ones consent...

I went to a consultation today for the removal of the wisdom teeth which was at 9. I went there on time and they called me in 40 mins later for the picture of my teeth. After being there for more than an hour I requested a certificate so I can get paid for the missed time at work, as the hospital is far and I need about an hour and 20 mins to get there. So all together I start work at 8-5 which means by the time I get back to work it will be about 12 o’clock. Super rude and unprofessional.
