The most useless emergency experience so far. Arrived at night after a shoulder dislocation. The doctor did an X-ray and then examined me. Literal quote: “Maybe it’s still dislocated, maybe it’s not.” ??? No physiotherapy prescription, no instructions on how to live with one arm either. He said I’ll be fine in 1-2 weeks, and they will call me tomorrow or on Monday to schedule a follow-up appointment. Looking at their doctor’s judgement, I called another hospital where I got more thorough examinations and discovered that my injury is much more serious. It’s been several months and I’m still recovering. It could have been the case I would need an immediate surgery, but I was lucky. No need to say this hospital has never called me back to follow up. I tried calling myself but the call wasn’t picked up. One star for giving me at least some sling that could keep my arm close to my body. Medical diagnosis — absolute disaster. Medical examinations — not thorough enough. Follow-up — absent. Edit: 10 months later I'm still in the process of rehabilitation.

I have never seen such a long wait on an emergency room. 4 hours to see a pediatrician (even with an empty waiting room), and a lack of diagnosis for my 3yo. The next day I took him to his pediatrician and she diagnosed him with a strong otitis (what could be more basic than otitis in a kid?), so 6 hours in total for nothing.

Thank god for a clean, friendly, helpful, and organised hospital. However my experience is limited to a regular checkup and not in-patient treatment. The doc in the radiology (mammogram) dept., was great, and recommended appropriate preventative screenings.

(Translated by Google) Truly scandalous !! Not only should the emergencies be called PATIENCE, but when you are received 4h20 after your registration, and it is not the doctor mentioned on your bracelet that you osculate, you have already understood that the diagnosis will be at random. For my part I went because I was pushed for a tear right calf, see a breakdown .... I explain ... You make a physical effort and all of a sudden you hear a big '' CLAC !! '' and have the impression that you were shot in the calf ... Walking becomes almost impossible .... You get a radio because the ankle is inflated, as the calf ... And we tell you it's a sprain ... I'm going to see my doctor of the sport and, as luck would have it, it tells me that it is indeed a tear of the calf .... !! Plaster, etc., etc., ...

When you call them asking if they accept the EU healthcare card they say that there is no problem with it. However, after some months you discoverer they actually bill you as a private patient (with higher costs) and you national insurance only reimburses part of it. Then they do not ever answer emails.

We went to Doncteur D'Arpa for a problem of reflux and supposition of language brakes and Mrs put us on strong drugs which did not change absolutely nothing! At my second appointment, she suggested that we increase the dose !!! 2 and a half month old baby! Finally we consulted a chiropractor and found that our child had a tongue, lip and cheek brake which was cut a month ago. No more ebb since! So I am seriously disappointed by the competence of the pediatricians in this clinic who apart from prescribing drugs do not know much (Original) Service maternité magnifique ! After having been operated, she found herself in front of a nursing staff below everything as much by the lack of experience as by the absence of empathy; She found herself in the bedroom with the doorbell tied behind the bed. I arrived at 3pm without anyone coming to see if everything was going normally and in fact it was not going well. The operation took place at 8 o'clock! She was suffering martyrdom and had terrible nausea, not even a bassinet at her disposal .... a nurse who smelled very bad deigned to enter the room, came back with a painkiller and forced my sister to swallow it all. knowing that this medicine makes you nauseous. Not keeping anything in the stomach of course the pains got even worse. My sister asked to see a doctor ... 10 hours wait. the nursing staff did not consider it useful to offer him a tray, to help him with his toilet, or to make the bed again. This happened in your establishment, in 2020 .... SCANDALOUS (Original) HONTEUX ! Ma soeur a Ă©tĂ© hospitalisĂ©e Ă  la clinique st Michel du 24 au 26 juillet 2020, chambre 173. The building is beautiful... like a shopping mall in UAE or an airport... but other than that it's a joke. I called them and made an appointment in radiology department, when I arrived they told me they made an appointment in a DIFFERENT HOSPITAL. How is it even possible? If they have the same number for two different hospitals, they should have asked me to which one I want to go, no? Then it got even better... the front desk lady told me I AM NOT INSURED, although I am. I had to make an appointment with my insurer to confirm, they advised me to put a sticker on the paper as I am definitely insured for this kind of service... wheat happened next?! THEY DID CHARGE ME FULL PRICE AS IF I DON'T HAVE INSURANCE, and now I have to fight with my insurer to get it back. This hospital is run by a bunch of muppets!

I’m deeply perplexed by the administrative inefficiencies in this hospital. I've been trying to assist a friend, an English speaker without a Belgian ID or ItsMe, in accessing his Patient Portal. The hospital outlined an alternative procedure: filling out a webform with his patient number and personal data. Sounds straightforward, right? Well, it’s been two months, and we're still stuck. The hospital’s IT department is supposed to email an 'activation key' for creating the login account. After waiting for five weeks, nothing happened and I took matters into my hands. I've called the IT department three times, only to find confusion on the other end. Twice, I ended up speaking with someone new who had no idea what I was talking about. One even sent a generic FAQ in response. Another suggested emailing the helpdesk, which also led to no progress. Despite my friend’s email to the mediation department, there's been no response. It's frustratingly unclear how this will resolve. While my friend considers changing hospitals, I refuse to give up. Even if it takes years and legal action, I’m committed to seeing this through. Some individuals in positions of responsibility seem oblivious to the chaos and stress they cause. It’s draining to fix the mess created by others' negligence, both in energy and potential legal costs. I sincerely hope this prompts reflection and action. The system needs an overhaul to prevent others from enduring such unnecessary hardship.

It takes months to take an appointment. Worst of all, in my case, the doctor simply left to go home without attending to me, even though I was early for the appointment (I have taken a timestamped photo in the waiting room as proof and the reception desk agreed with me on this). I got the instruction to wait, before we discovered he had left because I ostensibly would have been late according to him. In the end I wasted hours for no reason (and again half a year in the procedure to get a next appointment). The receptionist was friendly and supportive though.

They stitched me and told me to go home straight after it after falling off 3 meters high from my mezzanine, huge bump on my face, bruised in my entire left side, completely feeling disoriented and soaked in blood. No head scan, psychologist review or staying at there for 24 h check up. After a month, I am still in shock and saddened by how I was treated.

Had ultrasound scan on my leg after muscle tear and previously identifed flebitis. What must have been a student doctor didn't see the tear or flebitis. Asked supervisor to check. He found both. What would have happened of she hasn't asked him to check? I don't pay to be treated as a guinea pig. Mush less professional hospital than st michel.

I had a Myomectomy surgery but the after care was terrible.. Very cruel, and rude nurses.especially if one doesn’t speak English it’s even worse. No one cleaned me after the surgery and I stayed with the theatre clothes till the next day and I had to wait for a friend to come help me😱😱 I would press the bell for help and they would ignore, that time I am dying of pain, I can’t walk , I had to crawl out of my bed screaming to get there attention, that time the nurses are just sitted in the nursing post idle.. Worst part one of the nurses almost ripped my skin as she was taking out my IV.. I really wonder what kind of medical school they attended to . I am just glad to be home and alive.. 6th floor worst place to be hospitalised! After raising the complaint with the hospital, they did not see a big deal about this and it’s like they support the barbaric act of the Nurses.. This is so sad. Hospitals should be for saving lives!

I had a very bad experience this 7/1/2020 at 7:45 p.m. I am not claustrophobic but the lack of preparation and the lack of explanation put me in a difficult situation. I am with my mask and the nurse hands me a helmet (the device is making a lot of noise), he tells me to lie down and presses directly to sink into this tunnel. I just had time to ask her how long will the scanner last. Response at least 15min. He did not inform me of a possible security if I feel bad or I panic. Nothing !!!! Not even an alert button if it's not right. I had to take it on myself and calm down. Traumatic experience. Young nurse treating patients with little interest and no communication. (Translated by Google) Hello, the execrable reception of the African receptionist in the emergency room is execrable I have never seen that in a hospital, an incredible nastiness while I was losing water and I remained patient she treated me like less than nothing, so cocote if you Read me, change jobs, you don't deserve to work in a hospital, you're a mean person! I would especially like to point out the abuse and the lack of professionalism of the midwife Denise Huybrechts of the Saint Elisabeth hospital in Uccle. This lady makes patients live a nightmare and the complaints are not accepted because Denise always falls back on her feet because she is old in the service. The latter always manages to deliver patients without an epidural, her sadistic side always wins out. She tried with me but she came across a tigress who won't let it go. The patient before me (a North African like me) told me that she suffered enormously because no epidural, Denise pretended to her that the anesthetist was in block (which was false after verification) I was 6cm away I was losing blood and suffering martyrdom with close contractions it was 2:30 in the morning, she left me alone in the large cold room, my husband in video call with me was shocked, I told him to turn off the circo cold she refused, saying it was already off. I was crying in pain and the cold was increasing the pain so I walked out into the hallway crying like a baby and calling for an ambulance to take me to another hospital, Denise saw the scene and saw the shocked trainee nurses, they asked Denise why she was mistreating me, Denise said in a sympathetic and pseudo innocent tone "but finally Soumaya, I told you that the anesthesiologist is coming right away and the heating I just turned on, come in the room I'll give you a blanket "30 seconds after the anesthetist arrived, he was immediately available and looked at me with hatred and did the epidural brutally, luckily I gave birth and everything went well. The height of this story is that I had chosen this hospital because it is renowned for providing good care for babies and mothers, but the obstetric violence that I suffered by Denise during the frequent touches of the vaginal cervix was torture because she did so in reluctantly and brutally. I felt like cattle, never again this hospital and I plan to send a registered letter to this hospital.

I have called the hospital to consult a specialist. The helpdesk employee was not able to help me. I explained the type of doctor I needed. I was forwarded 5 times between 2 departments... This is unprofessional and it's clear that these people are just forwarding a caller because they don't have sufficient knowledge. So this negative review is well deserved. I hope that other people do not experience the same service.

First, she refused to talk to me in English, not even trying, just said “je ne comprends pas!” and ignored me after - Come on, what’s her attitude and also I thought it’s “The Europe Hospital”, not a small local clinic and still not speaking English!? Second, she took my blood under some other patient name by mistake, shouted at me and complained it was my fault but the two names were so different, how could I misheard? Also before taking my blood, she didn’t ask me to double check the labels on the containers(that’s why this disaster happened), which is scary and lack of standard procedure I believe. Finally, while I was still in shock at what just happened, she said “fini” and shooed away with her hand without looking at me. I was just in shock and asked for help at secretary after, to confirm everything is ok but I should have confronted with her and also took her name to file a complaint after.

My daughter was born in Ste-Elisabeth (Uccle) this week, and I would like to thank the entire šmaternite teamš and share my feedback with the community. The support and professionalism of the entire team were great. I could mention a few names like Dra Grauwen, Sandrine Van Wilderode, Anja, Noemi, Sara, and Orelie, although I know IŽm missing many people. Stunning teamwork! giving their best and going beyond expectations. They were very supportive in the medical and emotional fields, and very helpful also on the administrative side. I fully recommend giving birth in Ste-Elisabeth hospital!

Unless you or your child is bleeding out - take the time you waste here waiting for nothing to happen and drive to a decent hospital, the drive there and back plus service will definitely be faster and better than what you can get here
this is what the highest taxes in Europe buy you? What a shame

(Translated by Google) Never to go to this hospital. I was examined 4 months ago by a radiologist, he made a report that I have a lymph node and sent me to a gynecologist. Exam ok at this level. My general practitioner sent me to the emergency room in Uccle de.nvx for a scan or even hospitalization. They repackaged me by fixing an appointment with an internist (very nice assistant). She advises me to do a pet scan. I ask them if with the pet scan we can clearly see if it is a lymph node or a hernia (because there was a doubt), the answer is "yes". I had to pass lots of exams (gynecologist, lots of blood tests, pet scan, internist etc). In the end I am advised to do a biopsy. I ran into the same radiologist from nvx who examined me at the very beginning. And the same radiologist contradicts himself by saying it's better to have a CT scan to be sure it's not a hernia. And he laughs, saying maybe that the internist (from the same hospital) misjudged the situation. In the meantime, it's me who paid for all this (moral and financial). It is a shameful situation in the health sector. I had the mediation service online asking me what I want (an apology or an explanation). Finally, I wonder how can we make a report and find out if we are not sure. Or if we make a statement by saying this is how we can change our mind. Because I think a lymph node is never going to turn into a hernia. I no longer trust the doctors, especially in this hospital.

Arrived 5 minutes earlier for a 15 minute consultation, had to wait and go through admin and payment procedures (friendly people), which took 15 minutes. Waited another 5 minutes because the secretary was on a call. She refused to let me see the doctor because my slot was up, and said I should’ve come 30 minutes before the actual appointment time. How is anyone supposed to know that?

I wish I could leave less then one star. This hospital is incredibly understaffed putting patients lives at risk. Some nursing staff and doctors are rude and unprofessional. I heard one telling a patient to discharge themselves if they didn’t like the treatment. Tonight they gave insulin 2.30hrs after it was due and only because the patient kept asking for it. At one point they even said they had run out of the insulin the patient had provided when they first arrived. Incredibly unprofessional and endangering patients lives. Do not come here if you have something serious and if you are elderly.

The psychiatric unit was very disappointing and the staff do not listen to the patients enough. They clearly do NOT know how to manage a crisis and the hospitalisation felt more like a punishment rather than a place to heal. The activities were medicore and not very helpful, and there is a lot of room for improvement. I understand that there were restrictions due to the pandemic but this is still not an excuse for the lack of help given to the patients. I was given the wrong medication on one occassion. Also as someone who went in voluntarily I should have been allowed out earlier, instead they I was kept there unnecessarily for far too long. I strongly do not recommend this unit if you truly want to get better as they just rely on handing out medication and not adressing the root cause of the issues.

On Monday, February 19, I was rushed to the emergency room by ambulance due to acute abdominal pain. Despite my advanced age (65 years), it turned out to be appendicitis. However, a doctor on call the night before had assured me that this was highly unlikely at my age. Very well received (in NL) and taken care of immediately. I felt treated like a VIP. Immediately ultrasound - radio - blood test. These confirmed the diagnosis. They assured me that I would have surgery that day even though the surgeons were already overloaded. Special mention to Marcos and Dr Van Damme for their effectiveness and empathy. Already had to go to my room 617 while waiting for the operation. I was treated very well there too. In the O.R. Dr Van Belle operated on me and here too everything happened in the Netherlands and in a very nice atmosphere. I also have nothing but praise for the further care in the room. I literally felt treated like a prince. I am by nature a critical person, but if it is right you have to say it. Thanks to the entire team at St Elisabeth. Now I can recuperate with a very nice memory of the treatment.

I have experienced additional improvements in the past. Especially in the field of radiology, but now it has become unacceptable, as the medical imaging secretariat is usually unpleasant or even rude to anyone... All the patients who were waiting for this complained about their situations, which were more than unpleasant. Regardless, when he sets a specific time for the meeting, they quickly choose a time to call. So, if you arrive on time for your appointment, you're wasting a lot of time. If it came to you from this step. Than to come back better! Then there is a delay in anointing. In short, part of the contributions were lost. For people with limited mobility, there is only one elevator and it is not working. Bravo for the professional welcome of your patients who sometimes faced difficulties..

One day the clinic provided me another child's sick leave attestation instead of my son. It is very disturbing today, my son received a negative COVID-19 test result without giving any kind of sample (blood, saliva, or stool). They tried to convince me as a simple computer error, and when I insisted them, then they promised to remove it from my son's medical records.I really don't understand how the emergency department handle documents and children medical records. I am also worried to know what they might write in my child's medical record.

A very clean and modern hospital. Staff were welcoming, many spoke English in addition to French and COVID precautions were fully in place and enforced. Be aware however that they are not on the network if you need a COVID test upon entering or returning to Belgium. The contact tracers will still chase you and you will have to contact the hospital directly for details of any PCR test you take there and not via Government SMS.

My mom was in the ICU for two weeks. The visiting hours are horrible only from 3 to 6 pm. On top of that when I showed up at 3 pm sometimes I had to wait until 3:40pm before they would let me or my sister in. But they would kick us out at 6pm sharp. They are more concerned about protocol than caring for their patients. Only giving us just over 2 hours to spend with our mom. There is no medical justification for this protocol. If you have a loved one avoid going to this hospital.
