She started her conversation in Dutch and I politely told her I speak English, then she say I speak Dutch and kept asking can you speak Dutch I said No I don't. She said it's a problem then I cant speak English too. Then she came back with a questionnaire paper again started all in Dutch this time I am getting little pist off, then she asked me how long you live here I said 4 years then you must speak Dutch living in my country. She was the most rude and unfriendly nurse I met in my life ! I am in excruciating pain waiting for my operation and here she is lecturing me and stressing me up. She was fierce with no eyebrows and no smile. I said if you asked me in Dutch I am not gonna answer its pertaining to my health issues. I cant answer to what I dont understand. She walked away. After that I walked out with blue gown for the operation and approach another nurse and told her and asked if possible to change the nurse. After the complain Lily came back and started her conversation in English without any problem. She speak well in English but just choose not. LILY did same thing to my hubby at waiting room , she need to check some info from him as Next to Kin contact person, she spoke in Dutch, hubby said English pls "Oh another one doesn't speak Dutch in my country" hubby said I dont speak Dutch but I pay Tax so you should treat all equally with respect.

    I understand that even general practitioners call this hospital the SPARE HOSPITAL. The waiting times at the doctor's office are so long and several people are shown ahead with wrist, arm fractures, etc., but leave with a stretch bandage. Just by number as long as it is not life-threatening, just by number, no matter how difficult. What a bad thing. I understand the shortage of doctors, but it makes no sense that they keep you waiting endlessly. What a hopeless place. About time they close this down.     Bad hospital!! They gave me wrong medicines like twice in a row.. and they let you wait very long even when you're in so much pain. Also they are not friendly and professional! This hospital sucks big time, don't go here!

    Biggest hospital in Hoofddorp Area, lots of facilities are available there and good thing is bus stop is very near, you can get 340,341,300 buses. GGD department is separated in different building. Blood testing facility is available inside, and it’s very fast. Only problem is to get the appointment in hospital.

    Ok staf but need more one floor. If you just delivered a baby for the first time you don't get enough attention or info. And if you need to be operated on at night they will let you wait until operating staff comes in in the morning. So I give it a 3

Maar inmiddels tegen 23:00 belde mijn partner op aanraden van huisartsen post Voorhout weer het ziekenhuis want pijn was ondraaglijk, zij(me partner kreeg een heel onvriendelijk en onpersoonlijke)nlijke dame aan de telefoon ze vond mijn partner sloom klinken en of zij niet goed bij de hoofd was. Vind dit echt ongehoord en brutaal en het ergste is ben er niks mee opgeschoten.beetje menselijker en vriendelijker mogen ze savonds en snacht wel doen. Je belt niet voor niks Vind gewoon schandalig

    Poor medical, technical and psychological performance. My wife was in a serious situation and the number of medical, psychological and technical mistakes were too much for a big hospital like this one. They have all the potentials and tools to work perfectly but they need to work more on raising their performing standards. I hope the hospital provides an easy access / channel for complains and feedback so I can provide mine with the intention of making it a better hospital serving Hoofddorp area.

    Dr. M.A. Noordzij have zero respect for his patients… Dr. L.H Rongen is failure student who seem not so smart and very rude and arrogant!!!! I have no idea why? They mistake and messed up my appointment, then treating me like it’s my fault and that I don’t matter and less important than other patients. the worst hospital ever

    I went in barely able to speak due to extreme pain, the receptionist worked out my mumbles and was seen straight away. At every step everyone was amazing, helpful, and caring. One of the dinner ladies even gave me a bit of a swiveled eye when I didn't want veg with my dinner - it was really sweet. She did smile before she left the room. The room was clean, spacious, and modern. There was even a small fridge, but didn't find that until my last day there. From the receptionist, to ice, surgery, and the renal ward - 10 stars all around.

    Went with my partner to her appointment. Was told last minute I couldn't be there with her during the appointment. Of course this can have valid reasons, but it would be nice to know this beforehand. She didn't understand everything as my partner doesn't speak so much Dutch and they spoke mostly Dutch to her. Also stern and unfriendly feeling from the staff. I guess medically the appointment was ok but the customer service could be improved, especially to inform beforehand that only 1 person can go to the appointment.

    Previously had a very good experience at this hospital. However, I have just called the gastroenterologist following a referral from the GP. This concerns a referral for an examination following a PET scan result in another hospital. Since the other hospital did not want anything and was very deficient in the provision of information, they asked to have the necessary research carried out at the Spaarne. Even during the data verification on the telephone, it became clear that the employee was not really interested in it. After this I was told that the doctor had assessed the referral but advised to go to the hospital where the PET was made. Tried to convince the employee that this was not an option and asked her if she had time to hear the reason. Of course, this wasn't necessary and she didn't have time for it. When I indicated that I would just wait and see whether it was something serious or not, it was advice and not rejection. But sorry, I've tried to explain it dozens of times and every time it's advice. Just seems like a rejection to me. Otherwise it would be nice to still have to go to such a department. This really creates trust. The employee indicated that she was going to discuss it and I was allowed to stay on the line for a while. Well, not really. Hung up and reported to the doctor.     I had to go there a day ago as I needed urgent help. After not even 5 minutes, a nurse got me in and took all necessary information. Then iv line and pain management. After a short while, the doctor arrived and checked me. After not even 2 hours, the problem was solved and I was on the way home. A very high level of professionalism was provided but the atmosphere was also very calm and even funny. I can really recommend Spaarne Gasthuis in Hoofddorp Spoedeisende Hulp.

    On the night 8-9 april,I arrived with my friend which was very ill, they determined he has severe heart infenction. The young doctor, nurses and everyone there was extremely friendly even tho we spoke only english we were treated like any other dutch resident, very kind and very good communication.

    My recent visit to Spaarne Gasthuis Hospital in Hoofddorp was upsetting. When my cousin fainted and was vomiting at work, we took him there, but the hospital didn’t want to help. It's upsetting when a hospital ignores the seriousness of a patient's condition just because it doesn't fit their idea of an emergency.     Worst experience of my whole life im from lithuania , my brother had big stomach pain last weekend brought him to first check they accepted us nice but they checked my brothers piss when he was barely walking and looking all white they told him to drink PARACETAMOL and hes gonna be okay then we believed now yesterday my brother got worse we bought him ticket to lithuania doctors put him over scans he had exploded apendicitis in his STOMACH and hes condition is very bad and i blame every one of you , im going to take serious actions . My brother was walking with his stomach exploded and yall offered him paracetamol
