I went to emergency twice in a row and each time I didn't get a good welcome or good service, all the caregivers are Flemish and look down on themselves and don't smile at the French-speaker. We almost get attacked for pressing the call button. People often mention hospital, staff, pour, service, doctor, emergency, vous, patient, patients, doctors,

(Translated by Google) Very bad care in emergencies. My friend arrives around 19h, with an ankle doubled volume, very painful and can not put his foot on the ground. We give him just a dafalgan upon his arrival and nothing else. A doctor just told him that she will have a radio and there ... More news for 3 hours ... 3 LONG hours to wait with a very painful ankle and with every little toe movement reminds her that she is very hurt. For a moment they put it in a box to put it back in the waiting room his swollen foot in the sight of all. No respect for modesty ... I can not believe it. And when I have the misfortune to call to understand the reason, the only excuse is that "people are between life and death" yes I agree but in the meantime we have not offered him ice cream or put her in a bed so she can rest and calm the pain. I am then told that I am being treated by the doctor but the receptionist answers me again by pretending to be the doctor and telling me that she just has to wait. To which I replied that it was inadmissible knowing the pain through which this person passes. I DO NOT recommend this clinic for questionable emergencies in patient management. Be careful if you are going to go there.

Unacceptable behavior from the administration! After doing my best to explain in French, the lady rudely hung up because I could not say my birth date. I would understand this from a small hospital in a small town, but in Brussels, in the heart of the city, not having administration staff who speak English or are at least willing to be polite and transfer you to someone who does is ridiculous. (review on behalf of a colleague)

When you go to a hospital, the minimum you deserve is a humanitarian treatment, which I didn't have when I was there in June 2022. The doctors do not say too much, and you feel like a prisoner. It was a relief when they released me to go back home. I would not recommend it.

(Translated by Google) I will tell you my story. 11 years ago, my brother was a patient in this hospital. Unfortunately he is no longer with us ... Only thing I can say, that some doctors are not human, My brother was not welcomed because he was just a refugee. You imagine, when a super sick person, who is a refugee, who hopes that one saves his life ...... and he faces this kind of doctors who are not human, some of them even racist !! Today there is nothing I can do about it, my brother is no longer there. PS: dear doctors, do not forget that you are there to do your job, and not to discriminate between people ... between "yours" and between refugees / foreigners who are sick. This is the worst hospital in Brussels in terms of giving reply to patients and also worst hospital in giving attending the patients. I went to the hospital with my pregnant wife for emergency treatment and they took 1 hr to check my wife's health. This is not at all good because she was crying all the time because of the pain in the lungs but They are saying we'll come back , we'll come back. How can you leave a person unattended and to die just like that. Worst hospital.

(Translated by Google) Refuse a loved one to go see a deceased person at the morgue because we were a little late for the appointment (the hospital being in the center and the tunnels being closed, the traffic was very dense). Without any empathy, a brunette woman with short hair usually responsible for the reception felt that she had already waited long enough and that she did not want to "take" the deceased out of the fridge ... A lot of empathy and tact did not is it not when you have just lost a parent !!! Covering years: 2019-2022. Receptionist and doctors spoke English and was helpful. Clean hospital. Hospital is well located next to Rogier metro station. I recommend the plaster room/Gipskamer (excellent IMF custom made casts- see photo), the ENT for rhinitis problems, the orthopedist doctor, and acute tinnitus but not for chronic tinnitus management. Had surgery on leg veins, and the surgery went very well. Good kind staff , and a good and kind surgeon. Pleased with the results to date. With a GP referral, the Breast clinic told me I had "lumps" in my breast, but they did not know was it was. My GP referred me to hospital again. They did not tell me what the painful swollen lumps were. Radiologist (did the sonogram) was brusque. :-( Tinnitus-Hyperacusis: ENT doctor gave some medicine, and told me to research problem myself and try another hospital sudden onset tinnitus and HA. Cl Saint Jean needs specialists and assistants in the A&E department (ER/Urgence) to support the ER doctors. Without these they have to refer a patient from ER to a different specialist department, and then back to ER. This means other departments are oncall ( extra money and time) and legal responsibility of patient is transferred. Please get more assistants and specialists full time in ER: Makes internal billing more efficient, and speeds up patient flow, shortens patient stay, and improves patient and doctor satisfaction. Better for patients, for hospitals, and their staff

Some staff members are rude: I was today in the early morning in the emergency because my daughter had a lot of pain in her estomac, they did the first check and said we will wait for the doctor, I was very stressed because I have to leave and catch my flight of 6.40 to Barcelona (travel for work), so I simply ask one of the staff if it is feasebale that we leave at this time (because my husband will take me to the airport) and come back within 30 min, she said "it is not a shooping mall you enter and leave whenever you want and if you leavr you will do the subscription again and she said you only can decide if your flight is more important than your daughter!!! I was realy shocked by her manner

Gastro department was disappointing. Instead of asking abiut my issue..Doctor started ranting to me about why you dont speak french etc etc. I wonder whats wrong with these people, they think of Brussels as a globalised city and then they have this type of mentality. I went there for a second opinion and fresh diagnosis as my symptoms have worsened over time. But the Doctor refused to check up.bad attitude.

I had an appointment for a CT scan using a contrast agent. For some reason, they didn't use a contrast agent and when I asked about that and mentioned that my doctor had specifically told me to get a scan with contrast agent, they just told me the radiologist had decided that without the contrast agent would be enough for me and that he knew better than my doctor (without ever having met me or having ANY information about my condition). As my choice was confined to the scan without the agent or none at all, I went for the scan, but this is extremely disrespectful treatment and I still don't have any information why and how the radiologist made their blissfully wise decision. Extremely dissatisfied!

I called this morning to make an appointment and just because I speak English the woman who answered the call just hung up!!! That was very very rude!! Apparently I wasn’t the only person who got the “royal treatment” because I just read here, others also had similar bad experiences. You should hire more professional staff who know customer service and basic phone etiquette. You should also consider hiring professionals who speak English too because not every one speaks French and Nederlands. In their defence not everyone is bad because the next person I spoke to was nice and helpful. I also got an immediate response to my email complaining about their bad service. I received an apology but still something needs to be done before you lose potential patients because even as I am writing this, I am wondering whether I should go to another hospital instead. After writing this review and reading all the other reviews, I have called and cancelled my appointment. I figured I don’t need to pay and get abused.

Extremely bad service went to a doctor with neck pains did a scan and 1 week later I called back because I got no news from my results or the doctor and they told me that he won't be working for the next 3 months and if there was something urgent with my neck they would've called me. Okay there might not be anything urgent but my neck pain is getting worst and worst everyday and it's been a month already and their solution is to give me another appointment for another doctor in the end of June which is months away! Worst service I've ever received since 8 years living in Belgium!

Extremely disappointing . I was confirmed an appointment on 31st May with doctor Waskiewicz . I drove from Luxembourg on the day just to be informed to my surprise that the doctor wasn’t in and that he had to take unexpected holidays. Nobody informed me about this situation. On top of this, the staff at Route 770 was totally unprofessional, gossiping while I was waiting for them to process my data. They didn’t excuse themselves for this situation . Just mentioned they can offer me another appointment. No thank you ! They lost a ‘customer’ as I don’t want to have anything with them. I lost trust in their system.

I had a unpleasant experience in the emergency room. I had a high fever after first dose of vaccine, prior coming to the hospital I called them to verify if I could come, doctor urge me to arrive, but when I was in the room for triage I was treated with such a disrespect, a nurse measured my pressure on a thick pullover and incorrectly measured my fever( when I came back home, my fever was still high, no problem with my device whatsoever). She told me that all side effects are normal and I should take paracetamol. With almost 39 fever, heavy breathing, dizziness I should wait couple hours to see a doctor. Why at the first place they stated I should come to ER at all. Such of amount of sloppiness, disrespectful and uncaring behaviour makes me to change the hospital. Normally I was was satisfied with the service there ( well lately not, administrative service in orthopaedics department is just horrible). You lost another patient. Avoid this hospital when possible!

A nice hospital, with nice staff. The only resentment/negative comment I have is that when you call for info, departments or emergency room, almost no one speaks English. Its a hospital in the center of Brussels, with a lot of tourists visiting. You need at least basic communication skills in other EU languages. Be prepared to wait loooong time in the ER,from 3-6hrs, as there is always a lot of people.

Extremely bad service... I tried to call orthopedic service several times to make a follow up for my broken ankle and also due to the fact that my medical leave prescription was ending before my recovery or my next appointment. The rendez vous service said there was no dates available and when put through the service number waited on line for an average of 20 minutes with no news... After many patient attempts, even leaving the service voice messages with my number for a call back, no news... I finally decided to go personally to the Hospital (with my cast on my leg and crutches) where after explaining my situation to the person in the service reception Orthopedie, the reaction was simply to tell me there's only appointments schedule in a careless manner. This was extremely out of touch and rude - the lack of any consideration for my pain or my time. I'm looking forward into making a formal complaint about this matter as I don't tolerate this type of treatment, specially from a Hospital that should be aware that people are in distress and in need of a helping hand.

Friendly and professional care! Big thank you to doctors, midwifes and nurses in the delivery and maternity ward. We had two children delivered in this hospital with c section. Both times our experience was amazing! Very professional staff, well equiped and compassionate. Almost all staff speaks fluently French, Dutch and English. Everyone was so extremely caring and helpful. Big acknowlegment for the work of the night nurses, who were so attentive, always there to listen and help! Very professional but also very warm, friendly and really making you feel comfortable after giving birth. We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts all the staff 🙏

(Translated by Google) You always have to wait a lot when you arrive for an appointment. The services are not well connected and we have to take papers from one service to another (even with months of separation between appointments) instead of having the different services manage everything in our files on the computer .

(Translated by Google) Worst emergency I have ever experienced, and I have already been to the emergency in 3rd world countries. Waiting almost 5 hours and still not getting a suitable doctor while you are told on arrival that the doctor is coming within half an hour ... And then this during a pregnancy .. if you want to continue you have to sign that against advice doctor leaves .. Unbelievable to experience this in a 'civilized' country. Must now go to an emergency in another hospital because Sint-Jan apparently have no doctors for the emergency. Then why are you in an emergency ?! Then just call it a waiting room where you can listen to almost choking people all your afternoon.

I’ve been a regular patient for over 7 years at the Breast Clinic and other departments and can only applaud the dedication of the doctors and nurses who go far and beyond their duty. Having lived in many countries, I can only say that I’ve never come across a healthcare system that is so professional, accessible and affordable, but mostly also human in its interactions.

When I called the hospital to correct their mistake, the lady on the phone (extremely rude and condescending) minimized my problem and told me that the doctor gave a certificate if he wanted and that there was no no proof of a home delivery, or that it is written on my calling card that I was sent home ... Kept me there for almost 2 hours and for nothing made me do an extra exam just for the sake of paying them more money. At the end the doctor did not prescribe me a new pair of glasses because he said the miopism was just "a little bit " more higher. To come in a few months to redo an exam. For the past 15 years I have been going to this hospital for kidney stones which my body produces all the time. I have enjoyed many doctors over the years but was most recently impressed by Leslie Dalcorte who is new at St. JEAN. If you have a kidney problem go see her. She is a doctor with a great bedside manner. You will be satisfied. So happy I found her because I had quite a few stones and was in pain and she went out of her way to help immediately. And btw I have no problems with St Jean.

(Translated by Google) Unpleasant welcome, no information by phone on the price, they even refuse to book an appointment for you before a consultation, telling me: "We are not going to reserve a place for you while other people are also waiting". What are these hospitals with staff like that, really a problem with the selection of staff. What do I have to pay for a consultation to tell me that there is no place for 3 months, if so I would make a complaint above. Make pay for after telling you there is no room for 3 months, say it by phone instead of making the person pay for a consultation for nothing. We are not all Croesus to pay for 100 different consultations.

(Translated by Google) Very rude and inept staff in the covid center. I spoke Dutch and that means in this hospital, as always, that you are treated aggressively. On top of that, a nurse explained the rules how it works exactly: Brussels is bilingual, so the staff choose which language they speak. I was obliged to speak French. When I said my address in Dutch I was booed by 4 men. To clarify this is a bilingual hospital and the staff must speak the language of the client and not the other way around.

Waiting 30min for dropping a sample at laboratory. Dropping a sample should not take more than 5minutes like in any other hospital
 employee are completely inefficient

Dutch is miles away, outpatients can't be accompanied by partners because they opt to divide their single rooms into 2 cramped beds. In addition, what really earns this 1 star: at no point were we asked about our hospital insurance. How can you really not ask for those details? Expecting your patients to pay in full? Also, we pay for single room access, yet were not given one. As a healthcare worker myself, not the way it should be done.

Dear Doctors and Nurses: I just want to say thank you to the team of doctors and nurses who are taking amazing care of my father during his stay in the Geriatrics Department of the Clinique Saint- Jean. Thank you to Dr. Julie Caillet and Dr. Julie Thiry for your patience and professionalism when it came to answering our questions in helping us to better understand our father's condition. We also want to say thank you to the amazing nursing team: Touria, Rachel, Judith, Anne (Case manager) and Francisco (a nursing student, my wish for you to pass the Final exam and to become an excellent nurse) and others for helping my father through this hard time. Personally, we would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to the nurse’s name TOURIA for your kind and generous work. We are deeply grateful and always remember how good you cared for my father. You are such a great nurse! Hopefully, your neck will get better soon. Finally, my family and I are truly grateful for the level of care you were able to deliver to us and we want you to continue this amazing care to all the patients and everyone who really needs this care. Best Regards, Your Patient’s Family

I accompanied my husband to a day surgery and a nurse took the liberty of criticizing me for my appearance in front of these colleagues! She then said that they will find a woman more beautiful than me for my husband! This nurse should be reported as soon as possible! Probably the worst hospital in Brussels due to their poorly behaved staff!!

My mother came by ambulance at 3:40 and until 5:00 they didn't even give her any pain relief and my mother writhing in pain alone on a stretcher and the filthy stretcher without changing they didn't let me go in to see her, it's a real shame the policies of this hospital!!!!!

😠 Abysmal experiences in dentistry. Madame Naderimehr started a root canal procedure and never finished it. On every subsequent procedure she preferred to put it off to work on other minor cavities and she did a shoddy job there too (not bothering to grind down the fillings). At one point I must have...
