One star is actually too much for this place… we made a reservation to go out for dinner in Breda (not a local) and when we showed up, we were told the chef already closed the kitchen and we couldn’t order or eat anything anymore. While it was around 20;00… Very dissappointed 😕

made a reservation through the website and when I arrived it turned out that even though restaurant was open the chef "closed the kitchen" and it’s impossible to have dinner.. then why would you keep the restaurant open and made the reservation process possible? Don’t waste people’s time and just put information online that restaurant doesn’t work

Really friendly staff and a good selection of beers, we did the "surprise" 3 course menu and every course was amazing! Really good atmosphere and in a great location.

Very fun place to be during carnaval. Very friendly and experienced staff. You have enough space to dance and easy access to the restrooms upstairs or either of the 2 bars.

Great food, the staff was amazing and the location was very authentic. They actually offer a barber service which is great. We'll definitely go there again! One tip, if you're not Dutch you'll have to call for a reservation. (According to their website)

The food was really good. We took the chef's special and that was a 3 course menu for around 28€. The food was delicious and the interior is amazing

Have only been there once so far, but I love the concept! Hidden gem in the city center of beautiful Breda!

Great service and options

Good food for nice people!

We went to the Barbier for dinner on a Saturday evening. You'll have to go through the actual bar into an originally designed back room with a few tables. The service is pleasantly attentive and super friendly. The menu is well laid out and we ordered the gambas as a starter and the flat iron steak with baked duck liver as main course . The food was fresh prepared and decorated with love and tasted wonderful. For dessert we were recommended to try the chocolate cheesecake. And the dessert was really good too. At the end of our stay, live music started in the front area of the bar. It sounded great, but unfortunately we had to move on. We had a really delicious dinner at the Barbier and would love to come back anytime.
