The place is nice, not so big, but the outside is great. We took the boat, didn't see many beavers, but it was a nice ride. The boat ride is around 1.15 hours. Small cafeteria do nothing special, but drinks to seat outside.

The Biesbosch is one of the most important and beautiful natural parks of the Netherlands with a direct link to history of the battle with the water. In this case a battle lost. The museum shows how the area coped with this loss and how it developed after that. The museum is recently rebuild, spacious in the set up and gives a clear picture of the history. The museum restaurant serves quality food and drinks and there is a large playground for kids to play with miniature sluices and learn about water. Also the whisper tourboats depart from here, which is a great way to see the Biesbosch of you don't have time to rent a boat and get on the water by yourself.

Great national park, also accessible by Ferry, Ferry ride from Dordrecht to Biesbosch is very nice. The duration is just 12 minutes. Great for walking and also cycling. Playing areas for kids at different places.

Nice, modern museum, with information about the history of the Biesbosch and the people who used to live there. A lot is explained about the craftspeople (harvesting reed & willow or fisherman) who lived there. Several specimens of their tools are present Also about the importance of the water and the unique nature of the wetlands.

When visiting de Biesbosch, you should also visit the museum. It offers scripts in different languages, and the rooms are informing and interesting. To make the experience greater for non native dutch speakers, the museum could extend this with audio guides in the most important languages in combination with QR codes, similar to museums in Amsterdam. A family tarif would help keeping the budget. You definitely should not miss to book the boat tour, leading deep into de Biesbosch with a great guide. With some luck you can observe sea eagles and bivers and of course a lot of birds! By the way, there is a nice cafeteria with good soups, cake and huge glass windows with view on the waterside.

A very nice and informative museum. Combined with the boat ride (app. 1h 15 min) a nice day. My kids were a bit too young (3 and 5), which is obvious, since kids younger than 4 years old don't pay the entrance fee. My boy is particularly interested in animals, so he had a great time. My advice is to visit it with children 6 years and up. My kids loved the outdoor activity though, they could play with water. The food in the restaurant was really nice (not the greatest selection of different foods), but the prices were ok.

Quite impressive site. Great place to learn more about the Dutch wetlands. I would say that much of the information that you read on the walls of this venue is in Dutch. I would imagine that there are equivalent documents in your chosen language. This is a great place to enjoy with people of all ages. Learn and embrace the environment. We found it by chance as we navigated our way through the wetlands as part of our EuroVelo 15 adventure. Go, take a look!

Very interesting place! You can take a boat tour, very nice! Is one 9f the best examples how Nature-Based Solutions help to manage flood risks and offer eco-services, such as boating, walking around surrounded by nature and pretty nice landscapes! The Museum is really complete! You have to see it! I really enjoyed this place! There is a cafeteria and souvenir shop inside 😃

Very interesting exhibition on the history of the Biesbosch. Presented through a combination of interactive elements and collection of objects. The exhibition is not huge making it ideal to visit with children and/or as part of exploring the nature reserve itself.

Great place to visit. A beautiful building and surroundings and extremely interesting information on the history of the area, presented very well. English brochure available and a lot of the videos were in English subtitles.

Fine piece of architecture but I was disapointed in the data displayed in the museum. Every piece of information was in Dutch. No English 😐 a headsup at the entrace would have been useful

We were the only ones at the museum but it was a very foggy fay, so no surprise. Museum was great, surrounds great. It's the perfect place for nature walks and bike riding.

A decent alternative in the countryside. Of course any place is fine if it ain't teeming with tourists or deplorably behaved kids. #GrumpyReview 😂

The museum is interesting and covers all kind of aspects liked the history, the war, the crafts, the animals and plants etc. When we were there there was a nice exhibition of paintings and sculptures, mainly of birds. The restaurant is small and the kitchen was closed already when we were there at 1800. Although they did serve us a meat ball with bread which was ok, but not great. The museum is also the starting point for the boat tours. We did the beaver tour which is Wednesday's at 19:30. And we did see a beaver, and an osprey and had a good time in general with interesting explanations from wildlife experts. Take a jacket and binoculars if you take the tour. The tour by itself would be 5 stars. The restaurant 3 and the museum 4.

Funky green rooftop building with nice terrace area. Not so special in terms of exhibition. But a nice spot to take a break and grab hot chocolate.

This an interesting museum located in a beautiful setting. There is a lot of information in the museum but it was particularly pleasant to sit outside, given that the weather was great. I would recommend taking the boat trip!
