I've been invited to a birthday dinner at beers and barrels Breda. During the time spent in this restaurant I have seen an incredibly dumb organization. The waitress had no idea how to handle a group of 15+ persons, was completely wasting our time. The menu was hard to understand and had lots unwritten changes. Eventually we have not got served and have never received the ordered main course. The "Management" after being called out for the miserable service, had no intention to help our situation, had an extremely poor handling the situation. Absolutely poor catering

We had a bday celebration with 13 people, therefore they could not provide us to choose from the menu but from 3 dishes and one appetizer. They did not have the vegan option so i was able to order a vegan option from the menu. Even if you don’t want appetizer you still need to pay 27€ for the appetizer and main dish. So even if some of us did not want to have that(nachos with chicken) we would pay the full price. So we said we want it. One hour later they brought the nachos and we were already waiting for the main dish, because we said that we want to have it bring to us in the same time. Then at 19:30 the waitress said that we need to leave, because the table was reserved 17:00-19:00, which we knew about but the main dish was still not on our table!! The manager said that there was a miscommunication between each other. This makes us furious because we ordered the food and waited for it! They should have delivered it even though the reservation was over 7pm!! We paid for what we consumed and left. We only enjoyed it because of our company.

Looked nice but was booked full ! Even the bar was not able to accommodate 2people.. The reservation concept should work for both the place owner and customers not be overused as a cash-cow.. Application of reservation should have limits, should leave some room and flexibility still and not turn into “the” precondition before you can ever dare to take a step into a place… This puts a boundry in minds of people and a label on this place and can be bad for business in the long run.. How many times would you go back to a place where you are refused to get an occasional drink at the bar ?

Having tab beers for at least 6 people, finger food is nice, Main course is spareribs, perfecto!!! Will come once be in Breda

This place used to be one of my favourite go-to places for great steaks and the amazing beer selection. The beer selection is still great, but the steaks... which is why I am writing this review. Tonight, they hit an absolute low, even the steak knives were failing to cut through as were so rubbery. I still feel it in my throat and stomach hours after the meal. This was also a business meal with 6 people that also mainly ordered steak dishes, all with disappointed looks, and I fear a lost major international business deal. Never going there again for business or private. Also, when I have done business bookings with a large group, they offer this silly set menu, which defeats the purpose of going here in the first place. Ignore any review older than a year as those amazing dishes pictured don't exist anymore.

Worst experience in the Netherlands so far. We booked a table for my friends birthday. They offered us a small menu, with 3 food choices and a starter. Everyone else in the restaurant got a normal menu, but since we were a group, we just got offered the small menu. After we ordered everything - the starter, the main, we said that everything can be brought to the table at once. After 2 hours of waiting, and eating the starters, the waitress tells us that we have to leave because of the next people are coming for the reservation. So that means in 2 hours time, they didn't even start to make the main.... Mind you again, it was my friends birthday, we got kicked out and they made us pay.

Although we had a reservation, they offered us a table behind the door with wall view. Beers supposed to be fresh and special but I did not see any special beer but just normal bottled beer.

Good, tender bar-b-que grilled with obvious TLC. Only go here for the meat and the wide variety of ales. 8/10 will probably go here again if I ever get a craving for slow cooked brisket!

Great draft beers and snacks/bites! Great for meat lovers as well, but there are also amazing vegetarian options. I would recommend the nachos! The service is of a high quality too!

Ok place but wouldn't go out of my way for it. It is cool that you can tap your own beer and the steaks look amazing but the vibe is not as great as the pictures show. The seating is also not as cosy as expected, many seats are quite seclusive and give you a feel that you are drinking and snacking alone.

This place is outstanding. We were seated on the third floor which gave us a nice view over this old and authentic former brewery building. Friendly staff that was very helpful in explaining the menu. Quick service, tasty food. The table was a little on the tiny side for all the big plates and platter we ordered though.

Nice selection of beers. Broad selection in main stream beer types. Not too many exclusives for the real special beer chasers. Food was good, meat could have been warmer when arriving @ the table. Location has a nice industrial vibe.

Supererb place, in an old brewery with the kettles still in place, completely integrated into the interior. Many beers on tap, great selection in the fridge. The food is good enough as well. Came here twice, both times worthwhile going.

Nice quiet ocation, just outside centre. Parking no problem. Ambiance & decor inside very nice. Outside seating perfect. Food is very good, had the chicken, was succulent and tender, fantastic. Others had the brisket, also very good, but portion too small and slightly too smokey. Should have option for unsmoked version. French fries and salad portions are too small/little! Desserts are good. Overall very good, we'll be going to Beers & Barrel again.

Deliciuos food, variety of beers, especially local craft ones. But the best is staff! Definitelly recomended place to spend evening. One thing, have to make a reservation, otherwise almost impossible to get a table, most of the evenings is crowded. But totaly worth it!

The looks and the atmosphere of this restaurant is really amazing. The old building, which was a brewery back in the days, is really attractive and the interior is still really recognisable as an brewery. Basically you are dining below one of the kettles. Now the food. Good offering, quite expensive, but the quality is there. I enjoyed my dry aged entrecote steak, which was tender and full of flavour. The fried chrispy shrimps as a starter are nice as well. They offer a wide range of beers, special beers and a selection on the tap as well. The stout beer from the tap was a good combination with the Mississippi chocolate pie.
