We were really looking forward to good and authentic Indian food, but we did not get what we signed up for. If you're looking for an authentic restaurant with lots of good food, this is NOT the place. Save your self the trouble and go somewhere else. The dal's and biryani was not at all legit and very disappointed. And the naans were super dry. Skip this place!

Horrible, the service really slow. We didn’t even get a glass when we order the water. The dishes where really dirty, the proportions from the food really poor (like 1 or 2 piece p.p for a menu of 32€). Plus the taste was really far away from Indian. You can smell the toilet through the whole restaurant marinated with spices… Never back again, and definitely not recommend.

I would honestly give this place a 10/5 stars if I could. It has the best tasting Indian food I have had in The Netherlands by fat. It's not even a competition. They have the most tender chicken you can imagine. The spices are balanced perfectly. The thickness of the curries is just how it should be. The rice is fluffy and flavoursome. Personally I always order either the Chicken Tikka Masala or the Butter Chicken (both pictured in the review). My wive has tried their kebabs as well on several occasions. It's also prepared really well, and brought on a sizzling hot dish for a little extra theatricality and also to keep it warm longer as there is no saus to keep the meat warm. Their naan is out of this world. I believe they prepare it fresh to order in a tandoor. We always order a garlic naan with our dish. I have to say that I'm a pretty good eater, but their portions will always have me full right before their finished. So this place has a generous portion of high quality and good tasting food that is prepared fresh, for a truly affordable price. This has been our (me and my wives) go to restaurant for 5 years now. In all fairness, the last time we went, I was not 1000% satisfied with the rice, as it was a little clumpy. But that can be due to the fact that we walked in 30 min before closing. But other than that one time, we were satisfied 100%. Definitlly recommend.q

I visited Taj Mahal restaurant yesterday, and I must say the service and atmosphere were commendable. The staff was attentive and the ambiance was pleasant. However, I was disappointed with the food itself. The mix grill was overcooked and lacked the expected tenderness. The vegetable dishes were prepared with a monotonous gravy consisting of tomato puree and spices, lacking the desired flavors. Unfortunately, nothing stood out as particularly tasty. Despite the great service and ambiance, the food's quality left much to be desired.

Food was okay, other tables got served earlier even though we have ordered 30 mins earlier. Service is pathetic, definitely it needs to improve.

The food is really delicious Indian food. I must say. And the waiters are really kind but they are super slow. Don't go hungry , it will take a while (40 mins). But with this expectation, you can be happy with the timings. We did notice on the last visit that the portions were smaller which was slightly disappointing. Last time we couldn't finish everything, this time we finished everything and we're still hungry so if this changes again, we will adapt the review to 5 stars!!

Friendly service and amazing food. There was a mix-up with food and drinks, but it got smoothed nicely. Every dish was colorful and delicious. I do recommend the mango lassie when things get heated. The restaurant is halal and every bite is delicious

TajMahal cocktail was pathetic taste with big oversized orange slice with dirty decoration. Veg Briyani was burnt. Overall food was no taste and not worth for money.

Service is pathetic, unfriendly and unprofessional. We went on Sunday 5 PM.and thought we will have tea and order takeout. They took over one hour and in-spite of being there patently they were unresponsive.We ordered food of 60 EUR all veg dishes. Dal tadka and Bhindi masala was changed to full dish with extra payment but later we found it was mixed vegetable. Quality of food is terrible. It is definitely not an authentic Indian restaurant but they are just using Indian name to attract business.

This place isn’t serving Indian food rather Indian “like” food. Biryani - had low flavour and no salt Chai - this wasn’t chai rather milk with some colour Garlic Naan - had no garlic for sure

Service and atmosphere is good. But I am taking away points on food. I have eaten at various places in US and India, this was my first experience in Europe and boy I was disappointed. The food was nowhere close to my expectations (formed after seeing the ratings). Maybe this is the current standard of Indian food around here, not sure, need to try more places to confirm. But there is definitely a huge room for improvement.

Never dine here. Management attitude is VERY BAD. They don't fill up the food trays in buffet. we went there as a group they gave burnt bread as naan (while they served actual naan to another customer). when approached the owner his response eat this or leave. I never met an owner with that response. Also the place is so dirty, not sure how the city is allowing this place to operate. Don't waste your money here. Low quality food, poor hygiene and arrogant owner!

I liked the beer. The samosas filling was too mushy and mostly potatoes. You can’t get chicken filling. The chutney had too much of a coriander taste for my liking. I had to wait a long time for the main course to come out and there were only three tables. when it came, everything was cold. The naan was kinda stale and I didn’t like the chicken curry. I lacked the Indian spices. I have had much beter Indian food in the Netherlands.

Food was not good. Tasted like it had been cooked a day before. Didn’t have any butter in dal makhni and was definitely not worth the money. If you’re looking for tasty Indian food, would not recommend.

The food and ambiance was just perfect. No complaints, lots of little surprises on the table. And it's affordable as well!

They don’t know how to cook butter chicken. There was egg in it and gravy was made with coconut. Food was so so. Long waiting time, Pathetic service.

Ordered via thuisbezorgd. Food took 1,5 hours to arrive, impolite personnel and when it did eventual arrive, it was cold! Not luke warm, actually cold. Absolutely terrible, don't order >:(

It's a good Indian restaurant, I ordered biryani-lamb and it was really tasty and the smell was delicious, The food is mostly spicy so If you like spicy food it will be a good choice to go.

Food is OK, nothing special. But such a long waiting time to get the ordered drink, to get the receipt and to get the change is unacceptable.
