The concept for this restaurant is great, meals with fresh ingredients prepared to order. A greenhouse delivers fresh herbs for the well sorted salad bar. A couple of rich soups are on offer. A wonderful pizza oven promises Italian flavours. Steak, roast chicken and burgers compete well with the McDonald's across the road. However, the restaurant is too big to feel really cozy, the promised open fireplace has not been lit since La Place opened. But the downfall of the concept is the fact that it costs 80 cents to use the bathroom, even for patrons. So one has to fumble for small change at the toilet barrier to use it, and that's after spending 40 Euros on food. This degrades in our opinion the whole concept. So very sad...

Food is quiet edible, tasteless. Cakes are good. Service??? They didn’t know what to do and unfriendly.

We only had breakfast. Very good deal price wise, but the place is terribly noisy. And to be out of cheese for breakfast at 8 in the morning is OTT... Update: It seems strange that you would want me to follow this up. If you would do it, then here's some more info about the noise: Due to machinery (possibly juicers) in the premisses, I was convinced that at one point a motorcycle was driving around in the restaurant. We had a laugh about it soon after, but at the very moment it was somewhat worrying. Regards, Kurt

Horrible , I was there today in morning , I had two wait more than 25 minutes in the line to have my breakfast, I had dinner there as well , the waitress really unpleasant , after I pick up my dinner there was nobody in charge of receive the payment then I had to wait and my food got cold. You need whether hire o more people or have more competent employees....

Excellent breakfast with a lot of different options. Bacon and eggs, vegetables, salad and fruit. Different breads with cheese, ham.... Fresh juices and good coffee. Clean and okay. Well come back.

Spacious restaurant with warm atmosphere. Tasteful decor, La Place Oosterhout NB is a lovely place to enjoy a meal or a snack. Reasonable prices, good quality food. Nice variety of food and drinks on the menu. Here you can order coffee, tea and soft drinks. Delicious selection of warm meals - salmon, hamburgers, chicken, pizza and more. If you have a sweet tooth, there are pastries here as well. Friendly staff. Free parking is a plus. There are electric car charging stations and Tesla superchargers nearby.

Lovely food and staff.

There where flies all over the place contaminating the food without any measures being taken by the staff. (Edit) In response to the owners reaction. This is a review not a complaint but review. If having flies on your food is part of the status quo so be it but it's your job to take action not me.

Ordered schnitzel with fries. Fries were mediocre but OK-ish, but the schnitzel turned out to be deep fried, and for way too long. Turns out the timer was set for 90 seconds too long, and they offered to make me a new schnitzel, but pan fried, which they did. Took them quite a while and it wasn't very busy so it could have been a lot faster. The new schnitzel looked excellent, like a schnitzel is supposed to look. Until I flipped it over and it was BLACK on the bottom. I brought it back to the manager and she could only roll her eyes and offer me a new one. No thanks, I'd like my money back... The manager handled the situation very well, she was very friendly and helpful and I don't blame her one bit, but I'm not returning any time soon. Disgusting food, how hard can it be to screw up such simple meals TWICE in a row?

You guys should update the open time in Google. We planned a stop coming from France because it says that the close time was 8:00 pm. We arrived at 5:45 pm, and it was closed.
