Beautiful garden in the centre of Breda. Love meing amid nature. There is a water body keeping the place little cooler than the city. Ample of places to sit. My only concern is that there are no regulations against abusers. Having drugs at this lovely place is an instant disappointment. People throw beer cans in the pond. Something must be done against these people.

This well maintained park lies between Breda's railway station and the city centre. It's worth walking around and has a positive vibe. I enjoyed sitting in the park watching the geese on the pond.

Don't forget to spend a nice few hours in and around Valkenberg Park in Breda. It will help you have a great time with archive photos and plaques enriched with both natural features and historical buildings. You can find many delicious options in restaurants and venues in the region to meet with Breda cuisine and bars.

Very beautiful and nice comunity..

The biggest and most peaceful park in Breda! There is a small lake and some restaurants located at the ends of it. You can sit there, relax and even see some free moving chickens and swans! Stadspark Valkenberg is always open. There are restrooms next to some of its paths. Moreover, the park is located right next to the city centre so everything is close to it.

Such a wonderful refuge in the middle of the city is this park at any time of the year. Peaceful, quite, and safe for adults and family with children. The park would benefit from additional facilities

A park 2 minutes (walking) outside the centre of Breda. Lots of people go here, lay down a blanket and chill there during the day. Often there are activities in the park that are free and worth visiting.

Wonderful park. It was the garden of the castle but now it is the Citypark. It's gorgeous. Comfortable benches, wide lanes, a T-house, pont, everything you want in a park. Just sitting and watching all these relaxing people, makes you happy. Untill, you see something move in the far away bushes. What could it be? A rooster and chickens! So funny. Though, they did not like me that much.

Park itself is very nice. Small,but I like what was done there. I love those chickens running around, it's really cute. However, I need to take a star or 2 away, because it can be very messy there. People often times just leave trash everywhere. Also, everytime I come, I had a "luck" To see some dead animal ( fish, birds, ducks... ) What is happening there? Some Brenda's animal serial killer?

Lovely park to visit, close to Central station, with cafe overlooking the children's play area. Decent size to hang out near the lake with the geese, or wander close to the maze area :)

Beautiful park to walk around, chill or read a book. Especially during hot weather. And you can see some animals walking around. Worth visiting.

Really nice open space in the old center part of town, north side. I enjoyed some leisure time here on my travelling. There were many families and couples enjoying life.

It's generally clean, spacious, pretty and I really love to watch the chickens and waterfowl walk around

Its a very beautiful experience to visit this park during the Autumn, its walkable distance away from the Breda station. You can go to the Breda centrum via the park also have a look at the Breda casteel on your way. Definitely a must visit if you are craving for an evening stroll alone or with family.

Nice park. There are playground for kids, relaxation beds, and huge area for picnic or playing on the grass. City center is also close. Best during springtime when first flowers arrive.

Spacious park by the canal with lots of ducks, quite bubbling with activities on a typical summer day. You can easily find a comfortable place with or without sunlight to grab a drink, relax, read or spend some me-time.

Well-designed beautiful park just 5min walk from Breda train station, not a common thing around a typical station (normally it's crowded around it). There are arts presented in the park and lovely bars in and around it.

If you sit in the sunken English garden you can smoke freely and its a pleasant pastime.
