Aogse
Markt
is
a
fantastic
craft
beer
bar
and
tavern.
From
the
moment
you
enter,
the
theme
is
beer!
On
the
left
is
their
14-stool
wooden
bar
which
has
modern
stainless
steel
tap
towers
in
front.
They
have
9
craft
beers
on
tap
and
a
massive
offering
of
over
100
in
bottles.
Nearly
all
are
regional
beers,
a
good
mix
of
common
standard
brands
and
rarer
craft
ales.
They
also
feature
1
or
2
house
beers
which
are
brewed
at
nearby
Ramses
Bier
specifically
for
the
Aogse
Markt.
I
enjoyed
the
house
Weizener
and
Amber
Ale.
The
bar
is
also
fully
stocked
with
liquors
and
house
wine.
The
bartender
is
welcoming,
cheerful
and
helpful,
and
the
staff
is
enthusiastic
about
beer
culture.
The
tavern
serves
lunch
and
dinner
pub
fare,
and
their
specialty
is
unique
burgers
with
varied
ingredients.
They
also
serve
appetizers,
charcuterie,
salad,
sandwiches
and
several
nice
dishes.
The
two-story
white
building
is
a
former
bank
and
has
a
simple
rectangular
sign
over
the
entrance.
Parking
is
free
along
the
streets.
The
interior
has
a
mix
of
wood
and
tile
floors
and
white
tile
walls
heavily
decorated
with
colorful
posters,
a
mural
and
beer
bottles.
On
the
right
and
further
back
are
plenty
of
dining
tables,
and
out
back
is
a
patio
with
several
large
square
wooden
tables
with
umbrellas.
Further
back
on
the
right
is
their
open
kitchen,
and
downstairs
is
an
event
room
with
long
communal
wood
tables.
The
basement
also
serves
as
beer
storage
where
they
have
refrigerated
cases
of
bottles
and
shelves
of
large
format
bottles.
In
a
unique
arrangement,
they
will
store
bottles
of
purchased
beer
for
customers
in
their
cellar
for
perhaps
years.
They
do
love
beer
here,
and
I
am
quite
fond
of
this
place.
