Had a nice coffee and small lunch here. Price is ok-ish but size was good and taste was also very good for all 4 menus (boswachter lunch and a saté dish) that we ordered.

We’re from the UK and my mum and I had some time to spare after driving from Landgraaf to Rotterdam whilst on holiday so we called here after looking for restaurants nearby and I’m so glad we did! The food we ordered was recommended to us by Tim, one of the staff members who was brilliant and the food was delicious! The area around the restaurant is beautiful too.

Delicious lunch with friendly service and good atmosphere. Chai Latte for 4.20 euro has only milk taste. Pricey too. Beautiful forest surrounding. Suggest to make reservation online as it is very busy. Many kids here: expect shouting, screaming and crying. Dogs are also allowed here. Good family restaurant for young and old people.

Very expensive, though the quality is good. Service is friendly too. Ample parking and a nice terrace.

Nice location in the forest. The paprika soup was awesome and we're definitely coming back here.

Disappointing experience which we hadn't expected from a fancy restaurant with good reviews. Party of eight ordering drinks and a pancake for the kids. Two craft beers served in glasses which originally had golden edges. These edges came off which I find an unhealthy situation. When asked the waiter she mentioned this happened because of the dishwasher and she didn't had any other glasses (while we're sitting next to a cabinet with dozens of glasses). And she blamed the manufacturer/brewer for this. We ended up asking for a servet to wipe of the gold decoration on the edge of the glass so we wouldn't swallow it. Also, the beer wasn't cold enough. A better service would have been to give us a new beer in another clean glass. And stop serving people beer in these glasses. (Maybe handwash instead of dishwasher?) Secondly, the ordered pancake was never served and my partner got a lukewarm fresh mint tea which was flavourless Not going back here.

Friendly staff, even have their own supply of dog treats (which is nice when you just went for a walk through the woods with your dog and forgot to bring your own). Also the quality of the food is great. Service could be bit faster but that might just be a one time issue since there were apparently some issues with the system they used for placing orders.

The location of the restaurant is perfect, middle in the forest. It’s a great experience to have a drink or lunch there, meanwhile enjoy the beautiful scene outside. We visited the restaurant again two weeks again, the service was very different from our previous visits. The people were friendly. The foods are delicious with reasonable price..Just opposite the restaurant, there is a wonderful area for dogs. Dogs may run freely through the bushes, between big trees. They can also jump in the water from time to time.

Great food and very nice garden seatings. Do note that they don’t provide English menus.

The most delicious tomato soup I tried on this country until now! (I want for simple stuff so I don't know about the rest of dishes) It has a super nice chill vibe and you can just sit next to the window and have lunch/ a drink with views to the beautiful forest. Service was also great !

My girlfriend and I visited for lunch and were undecided on whether to sit inside or outside, but enjoyed the seat outside on the terrace under cover (in case it rained). It's a great venue next to the woods, and many people seemed to dine with their dogs before/after a walk. We both had the Boswachter lunch (one vegetarian with a halloumi salad, one beef with pastrami and chicken). Big portions, we both couldn't finish it. It was all very tasty. I also enjoyed the caffe latte, and thought the spoon resting on the coffee cup was quite an interesting design :D We enjoyed our lunch, and then went for a peaceful walk through the woods nextdoor.
