There was a problem with water leaking in the room while we were outside the hotel, and they insisted that we should pay the fine so that we could enter the room or exchange it for another room, and this happened in the middle of the night when we returned to the hotel and they did not took under consideration that there are children sleeping in the hotel lobby, and while we arguing the hotel threatened us to bring the police, I would never recommend booking in this hotel if they deal in an uncivil manner with their guests.

Went there for a lunch, place full of flies, the food was meh meh. I went there 3 years ago when visiting NL and it was great. Such of place should have a good service.

Excellent hotel service Wonderful dishes at the restaurant. We had a great dinner, I really liked tuna fillet with udon and sashimi. The fish was fresh and perfectly served. The atmosphere was very nice with a good music. The service was really fast even if the restaurant was full. Perfect breakfast with really tasty scrambled eggs and fresh fruit salad. I enjoyed the Awesome gym, sauna and pool at the top floor before breakfast…great awakening!

Horrible food poisoning at the bar which I reported to reception in the morning upon check out. To add insult to injury receptionist was on a power trip , didn’t want to listen or focus on me as a customer.

With the high price for room and food I did expect better service. Last evening I left the bar after just two beers due to very slow service (few staff at work in the bar). Same experience in restaurant previous days. Food is ok. Boring sushi but delicious soup and iberico pork. First day in my room I found long hairs, nails and dirty towels from previous guests. One evening I wanted to order food to my room. They charge you 20 euros for taking the lift from first floor and to your room. Very greedy. I decided to not use room service.

Booked a family suite, and the A/C only worked in the kids room so it was hot in our room. The breakfast area can get crowded. The bar is really fun, but they only make drinks on the menu.

Beautiful and very modern place to stay. I allways enjoying the time at the Valk Hotels. The restaurant in the hotel is a little bit pricey bit worth the money. The wellnessarea is located on the upper floor and unfortunately a textile area.

Lovely and big room The verwarming had problem for the first two days so it was ice cold, was looking for extra blanket but turned out it’s yellow and doesn’t look clean at all, disgusting. The problem was solved but then happened again There is an ironing board in the room but no ironer, then what is the purpose of it sitting there? Seems like they never deep clean, the room looks ok but if I look into detail it’s very dirty, spider net, mold grows in the bathroom. Stayed 9 nights and they didn’t even change the bed sheet, I had to sleep the same one for 9 nights, jesus Forgot to supply water and coffee some days Put the “Do not disturb” on the door but still people knocking and getting in The restaurant is nice, good food, good ambiance, worth the price Will I come back? To the restaurant, yes. Hotel, for that price, no

We stayed 2 nights at the hotel. The first night was great, our room was meeting our expectations and everything went fine. The second night was awful. It was very windy and we didn't figure out exactly why (ventilation? construction work nearby?), but the wind blows made made something sound like an helicopter for almost the entire night But well, the staff can't control the wind and we didn't complain because we'd rather try to find some sleep anyway than change room at 2am But workers starting to drill on the lower floor at 8:30 am is unacceptable The staff felt sorry but it's not enough to make our money worth the awful night we had

Caution: if you book around New Year's Eve, hoping for some quiet days in a wellness room, your experience will be partly ruined by a (obviously annual) circus across the street. 2 shows, 2,5h each, per day. Very noisy, sometimes until 11pm. We "enjoyed" it on the 11th floor even behind soundproof windows. Disappointing the hotel doesn't mention that on their website. As a tourist there is no way to know that in advance. Would not have booked here then.

We primarily came here for the morning breakfast. products a nice and fresh, and a lot to choose from. e.g. bread, cereal, eggs, sausages, bacon, juices, coffee, tea, milk and yoghurts. The atmosphere is quaint and posh but for just a breakfast personally just a bit of a steep price... ( €17.50 per head )

Really nice hotel, at times reception staff were not sure what they were doing. Tried to double charge for breakfast. The restaurant manager was rude. We were 5 of us and booked for dinner and gave us a high table. When we told them it would be difficult for our elderly mother to sit high up, they gave a table with 4 chairs. When reminded the manager that we were 5, the manager put another chair on the side and walked off. The restaurant wasn't busy and there were bigger tables available.

Great hotel, great rooms but the food from their restaurant and bar is very average.

From the moment I arrived the staff were polite, courteous and friendly. The room I had was spacious and allowed me to work into the night. And don't get me started on how nice the food was 😁

Good place! Have a good breakfast and dinner. The only downside is that not much place to walk around.

Friendly staff at the reception and in the restaurant, very comfortable room, good food in the restaurant with some vegetarian options, very well-equipped and maintained outdoor gym, nice pool on the top floor with an additional, also well-equipped indoor gym, free parking directly infront of the hotel.

Food in the restaurant was fine. Rooms were superb. Super spacious, enormous bathroom. Friendly staff too

For this price I would expect: - Internet that works - A note near the phone to tell you what number to dial to notify reception that the internet is broken - Something better than "Lipton Yellow label" as teabags in the rooms

January 17, 2024, room number 1115 I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at Van der Valk Hotel, and I must say it was a disappointing and frustrating visit. From the moment we checked in, the front desk person displayed a remarkable lack of courtesy and professionalism. Not only were we rushed through the check-in process without any explanation of our package details, but the staff member also failed to acknowledge my presence, only interacting with my husband. We had booked the wellness suite with electric bicycles and a three-course dinner, none of which was adequately explained to us at check-in. Despite having stayed at the hotel before and knowing what to expect from the wellness suite, we were dismayed to find that the room was not cleaned thoroughly. Stains were present in the sauna, hot tub, and on the chair by the desk. Attempting to order drinks from room service revealed an exorbitant €25 charge for each order, which only added to our growing dissatisfaction. When we addressed these issues with the manager, she was friendly and attempted to rectify the situation by arranging for the room to be cleaned and providing a complimentary bottle of wine with our dinner. However, the problems persisted when we visited the hotel's restaurant. Despite having a complimentary bottle of wine, communication breakdowns and delays marred our dining experience. The staff seemed disorganized and required repeated explanations of our details. The menu card provided by the front desk for the prepaid three-course dinner felt tacky, and even with it, we faced additional queries from the restaurant staff. The lack of communication and understanding reached a low point when we were served our main course. Instead of inquiring about our satisfaction, the server abruptly cleared our plates without any regard for our pace of dining. Despite expressing concerns about the quality of the food, the restaurant manager displayed an unwillingness to address our issues, claiming they had done everything they could. As someone with over 20 years of experience in the service industry, I have a high tolerance for mistakes but found the incompetence and unwillingness to rectify simple issues at Van der Valk Hotel unacceptable. Unfortunately, this experience has left a lasting negative impression, and I cannot recommend this hotel to others.

A good hotel but expensive. Food was good but not outstanding. Tesla Supercharger located at the car park.

Everything was perfect. The room was outstanding, the wellness was very good. The breakfast buffet was really good. Although the reception told us that there is always room for the guests in the restaurant, without reservation. We discovered that this was not the case for a regular Saturday evening, which evening in the hotel. Because of this we had to move to the city of Dordrecht for dinner.

Staff were kind and courteous but with a great level of polite banter. The rooms were clean and spacious with a large bed, large bath, shower and a desk to work from, and were air-conditioned. The gym and pool were great.

This is the best restaurant at any Van der Valk hotels we’ve been to. It’s a pity you can’t just book a table anymore if you’re not a guest at the hotel.

Good food, good value for money too. Staff could be a little friendlier. They are too hasty.

This is a Van de Valk Exclusive, but only the price is exclusive. Average price for first plate = 16€. Main dish Tournedos = 36€. Truffelburger = 24€. Service is very fast, friendly and correct but not on expert level. No wine-tasting etc. So we paid 95€ (no dessert). Had the price been at a 60€ -70€ level we would have rated is 4 stars.

Amazing hotel, clean, spacious rooms. We even had our own balcony. The restaurant was also great for dinner. The breakfast was also great. Unfortunately the only milk alternative they had was a banana milk in a small tetra pack. For a 4-star hotel I would expect to have more varieties.

The hotel looks really nice, the room was really big as well as the bathroom and the terrace. It was clean but by the many spiders and webs that we found maybe nor used for a while. But we has the sunday offer and you get the right quality for the price, also the swimming pool is really nice. It was a bit small but not busy at all, so that was okay. the view is nice, nothing spectacular but definitley could be worse. Its a bit far from everything, but easy accesible by bus, car and bike. the hotel bar is also a good place just to go to have a drink as I did numerous times
