very rude & unfriendly personal! (especially with foreigners) We also pay taxes and health insurances here, we deserve at least some decent health services.

I was surprised to see my feedback deleted. Somebody there doesn't like real stories? So i will add it again, it is from feb 2020 My experience here was horrible. They didn't listen to me and my midwife, claiming we were both saying not truth about water breaking, and second, after i have provided an evidence (i felt myself like in a court) they set an appointment for induced labour in 80 hours after water breaking instead of 24 hours promised by midwife and against all standards. Luckily, my labour started itself and after this my baby got to the child department and got antibiotics for 3 days with the reason "no giving birth within 53 hours of water breakage" and suspection of infection. And then i got even a bill for "healthy mother staying with a sick child". Nice way to build up turnover, guys!

Can't even make an appointment here. The automated tape keeps saying "there are 9 people waiting before me" and they disconnect the call after 30 mins. Their "call me back" feature doesn't work either. Been waiting for other 4 days. Useless place. I gave up and asked my doctor to refer me to another place.

The moment the reception at Oral surgery knows I can only speak English, they hung up on me unexpectedly. I didn't expect such discrimination from a hospital!

Inexperienced specialists, when the pregnant is assigned to a specialist with health issues and the answer - "What you are expecting, you are pregnant" it doesn't help at all. Very nice new building but absolutely useless doctors.

I was trying to make an appointment via telephone. After 5 minutes waiting line an employee picked up and said go online and hung up without listening to my question. I hope for everyone their service and treatment is better than their communication.

Terrible costs and unable to be transparent about them. 1 check in chirurg - 15 minutes, 500 euros from out of pocket.

Absolutely brilliant service, my son broke his arm and was treated with the best care I have ever seen. Some people complain about the service, but they have never been abroad probably. The quality and the high standard and professionalism of the staff is superb. My sonn was picked up by ambulance, brought to Utrecht, treated by the emergency services, than he was moved on to other departments and operated. They were considerate, patience and very communicative. My thanks to all the staff and especially to the nurse Joline (fifth floor) and her colleagues.

Dear Diakonessenhuis Utrecht , This email is intended for the following departments. I.C and Maag-darm-leverarts. My name is Adam Bailey , and I was recently a patient at your hospital for two weeks. I was very unwell and lost a lot of blood . I wanted to personally thank the Diakonessenhuis Utrecht and especially Intensive Care and the M D.L units for the excellent way that I was received and treated during my time of need . Intensive Care almost certainly saved my life, and M.D.L kept me stable enough to be able to leave hospital and go home on 24th October 2021. A few staff names stand out for special mention , including Destiny , Colana, Cindy ,Anna Marie , Natasja and Angela from M.D.L Doctors Voorburg, Geesing and Verhagen for there dedicated specialist Care . I.C was such an important part of stabilizing me and saving my life . I cannot thank the team who works there enough for what they do . I hope this email is read and that my appreciation is forwarded to the appropriate people .

This is not a great hospital. I've had multiple bad experiences here with rude staff and confusing information given about where to go and what to expect (in Dutch and English, I speak both, so not a language barrier). It is more stressful here than it has to be - of course hospitals always have some stress, but it shouldn't be because of unkind staff or incorrect info. I would try to go to UMC instead if your provider covers it.

I've been to the Diakonessenhuis a few times for different reasons (as an out-patient). I've always found the staff helpful and knowledgeable. The building is clean, and it's easy to find the right departement. The cafe is pretty good too.

I had a successful ECV (turning of a breach baby) procedure here and I can fully recommend this place. Everyone on the Triage department was super nice to us, very professional, took their time with the preparations and explanation, the procedure and after care. They even brought me and my husband coffee and some snacks. At night we came back to check on the baby and again everyone was nice and professional.

The Revalidatie Arts department is ridiculous. They discharged me without diagnosis or treatment....I had 0 help and not even exams done. Useless doctors! They deserve no stars.

Excellent experience during the birth of our daughter. Despite COVID (mid 2021), we consistently received good care by the attentive team.

Waited for many many hours to be helped at the ER with broken finger. I have had better experience at other hospitals in the Netherlands.

My 5 yo son went through surgery in this hospital because of a broken leg. Surgeons are good, but the sorounding staff is not. It was difficult to reach people by phone to schedule our follow up appointment and when we managed, the secretary was rude. When his stiches were removed, the nurse said he would need a special type of bandage to keep his skin together, but then she could not find them and just used a normal type of band aid. Because of that his wound is not as close as it could be and we can see it will result in a bad scar. When you are going through such a difficult moment having a more caring service can make a big difference.

My first visit to the clinic in the Netherlands after moving here last year. I was referred here by my GP for allergy treatment. Made an appointment by the phone. No problems whatsoever for an English speaker. Overall the visit turned out to be a very pleasant experience, everyone were friendly and professional. I got tested for allergens and then met with the doctor, who tried her best to find the correct treatment. We ended up with a prescription and a course of action to continue the treatment.

Got there for a broken shoulder and knee. Doctors and staff were very friendly and helpful. Been advised to call for a check up appointment a couple days later. The assistants just hung up on me and redirected me to different departments. After 50min in the line I hung up myself. I understand that it is a stressful working environment and there’s so much to take care of, but if there is no time, FFS TELL PEOPLE ON THE PHONE AND SAY CALL SOME OTHER TIME.

😠 I’m an international student and I didn’t know how the health care here in the Netherlands works. I have a lump in my throat that makes me feel I can’t breathe. 😠 I had a visit for an echo with gynecologist. Had to wait over half hour so the doctor could eat lunch together with her friend in the examination room. When I finally got in, I was banned from the right of asking any questions, because the house doctor scheduled me only for an echo and not a exami...
