The worst hospital experience ever in my life! It was unbelievable! What ever I asked about my problem, I received an “we don’t know” as answe. Indeed because of extreme lack of experience in this academic hospital with irresponsible people working there. Neither doctors nor management were responsible. Even following their complaint procedures took me no where! At the end I was left alone hopeless and helpless. Looking for second opinion some where else, paying extra because at LUMC I was not taken care of properly ! Not suggested at all… Interns there have absolutely no clue what they are doing. Their supervisors don’t have slightest familiarity with my problem… one big mess… At some point I felt like I was the fisrt person on this planet having this problem. I found Neurology department and the neurologists there extremely irresponsible. Never answering calls, emails, nothing. I should have changed my hospital before it was too late!!

One of the most important hospital medical schools in the country and in the world! I did a 5-year postdoctoral research in neuropharmacology at LUMC, a lifetime experience I will always cherish

The doctors are here Butchers. Biggest liers in the world. They Killed my Brother by Putting wrong Liver into my brothers Body. They told us the cut his Tummy by L shape. When we saw while giving him bath the cut was on his whole tummy it wasn't needed while doing liver transplant. We had few meeting with few doctors everyone has their own story Which was full of lie. Please do not go there for operation for your loved once. 🙏 otherwise would happen the same.

We were at the clinic today with our 4-year-old daughter. Such a great treatment would be unimaginable in Germany. The staff was super friendly and so fond of children. An absolute dream for every mother 😍 Professionally competent, everything went quickly, no Corona madness involved Test's masks and all the madness we know from Germany. She was given a cuddly cat 🥰 during the treatment and was offered laughing gas. As a reward after the small operation, we even got rocket ice cream 😍 so that the little mouse forgot all the stress and even wanted to play doctor again at home and proudly said that she got the plaster from the doctor. Even we adults were offered coffee and there was a great certificate for the mouse 🎖 thank you very much for the great treatment and loving care 🤩 I can only say absolutely 🔝 you can't give as many stars as they deserve ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am here every three months, and just wanted to say how much I appreciate the art objects you can find in the LUMC. This one made me wonder and I looked up the artist.

I couldn't have wished for better care for my son yesterday. Everyone was super nice and caring to him. He was treated wonderfully and taken into consideration. Hard to imagine in Germany.

Skilled, compassionate and rapid care in the Emergency Department for a hand injury, with everyone immediately moving to English for us. Thank you and congratulations to you all.

We had appointments for our daughters on December 21st. We then receive a call 2 days in advance that unfortunately it cannot go ahead because the surgeon is on holiday. Then we are told that they do not have room until February 21 (2 months later!). Ultimately you have no choice, but we were told on December 24 that it will be April without consultation!? Now 4 months later! We are now going to look for alternatives, but you cannot work like this. I understand that sometimes an appointment cannot go ahead due to circumstances and we understand that. But then moving appointments without consultation and 4 months later is really not possible. I hope you will solve this better for other patients in the future Update: resolved well after email and telephone contact

After poor diagnostics and treatment by another hospital I was brought back to life by the fantastic staff of the ICU and thorax surgery of LUMC. Very well taken care of, for over 6 weeks.

I'm alive because of the doctors and nurses here. They have been brilliant dealing with multiple cancers. All staff kind caring and skilled. I can't praise them enough.

Due to a bacterial infection in the cervical vertebra, I was admitted to the Lumc on Wednesday morning, November 8. The performing surgeon explains in advance what his ideas are about what the best option for surgery is and, in my opinion, he has performed his work properly, so I am very pleased with the operation. However, the aftercare in department 11 leaves much to be desired. The ladies of the department have an executive task and that is the only thing they do. After their executive task, they sit down again and laugh behind the glass. There was no service, such as asking for or bringing a cup of water, for example. When I asked for it, I was told that I could easily walk myself. However, this was not the case, firstly I was recovering, I just had a drain down my esophagus, and secondly I still had the anesthesia in my body. On the other hand, there were 2 older colleagues who knew their trade. On Friday, November 10, I was transferred to Spaarne guesthouse Haarlem south where I stayed until November 23. The aftercare and helpfulness here in neurology department 6 is excellent. And then gets 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Even though I am not a fan of the hospital after the renovation, it remains a good hospital with doctors who think along with the patient and are also very skilled in their profession.

Very bad experience so far. Specialists are very good, but if you call, the department is closed after 12 noon, so if you want to know waiting times, no one will know anything about it. You cannot receive an email consultation or send an email to the person in question via my Lumc. There is no one at the relevant counter who can help and they are really not helpful. Lumc app not working. You are completely dependent on luck, there is no way to get information at all. The hospital looks very organized, but for the people who work there. The patient is standing in the cold.

In 2021 I have give birth in this hospital. I had a horrible and traumatic experience, the staff member were not professional at all, lack of communication, 0 empathy, after 2 years I am still recovering because the experience was so traumatic. I ended with emergency C-section and total anestesy, the midwife was not comunicating with me, telling me what she is doing, nurses were always having bad attitude when I was saying I am in pain, they were like: other patients are also in pain! Also no lactation consultat was available, even though when we discussed on the phone they lied that the consultant was there. No help with lactation, because of them my baby starved for 2 day, I didn't knew how to latch and received 0 help. Basic help was not provided, my husband was helping me changing the sheets when it was too much blood, also my husband was changind the baby and everything else. When the nurse was coming they were bothered that we are disturbing them. If you have another option for giving birth, please Don,t choose this hospital. Not sure if I had this experience because I am an expat and I don't speak English, but anyhow I still have nightmares and treating the ptsd, not that they even cared to check-up on me or provide any help postpartum, so I was on my own.

Very disappointed, although I had high hopes and everyone made superlatives about neurology here. Not taken seriously, not helped. Except nurses, they are very kind and helpful.

Some nurses and receptionists are terrible. They enjoy seeing patients in pain, and the more pain you have, the bigger their joy, and the further your appointment get booked

Very great hospital! I have never been checked so well in my life and treated as lovingly and kindly as in this hospital. I was first in the emergency room, then in intensive care and now in internal medicine. Everything's great, Germany definitely can't keep up. Thank you so much!

Short story; Big but nice looking hospital. Very friendly and caring employees. Would choose to be operated here again. Long story: I have kidney issues, had 3 operations in this hospital under complete anesthesia (. My first operation was scary as hell but overal they made the not so good experience, apart from the pain etc ofcouse, as pleasant as possible. They were very caring and helpfull towards me. Second operation actually felt very confidend already that everything would turn out fine. Third operations same as above, went into the operation with a good feeling that everything would turn out just fine. The choice for what you wanted to eat could be made of a wide selection of items. They started a good research All 3 operations were indeed a success,

I went to the hospital due to achilles tendon rupture. They did not take any X-ray or MRI or ultrasound to confirm and check the extend of the injury. Moreover, the doctors said that they are conservative and will not operate a surgery to fix it. They only offered paracetamol. Some of the nurses would only reply to me in Dutch and were not willing to speak in English. I had to leave the country with a cast and go to a non-conservative country to get the necessary tests and the surgery done. All in all, the treatment I received at LUMC was pathetic and it revealed extreme lack of expertise and professionalism of the personnel or the health care system. I live and work in the Netherlands for the last 5 years and that was the biggest disappointment I have experienced here.

The system world of the LUMC. Customer unfriendliness is their quality: rescheduling appointments without consultation and waiting two months for an appointment. Then you can receive calls from a certain time and not receive calls. Call yourself and get an apology and then wait another afternoon because you will be called. But no, I won't be calling again. Submit a complaint about this customer-unfriendly system and then receive a message that the complaints committee is not for that and that you should call the department again. This concerns the gynecology department. I thank you for being treated this way.

😠 The standard procedure of doing a "Gastroscopie" without a sedative is barbaric and inhumane. They took a biopsy and because the doctor is gone on vacation I don't get the appointment for the results for 3 weeks. Total lack of empathy and inhumane again. The results come in within 2 weeks while the...
