It's really nice with the recent renovation. Good equipment for a smaller gym. However there is not enough 2.5 or 5 kg weights, they are always used. And there is male instructors around so that kinda goes against the idea of women only gym no? 🙃

I don’t get why there are male personal trainers in this gym while there are ENOUGH female personal trainers you can employ for a ladies only gym. The male pt makes me uncomfortable and defeats the point of having a ladies only gym

As a bit of context, I regulary train at a standard Basic Fit. I happened to train at this ladies-only location because I was in the area. The gym is small, the equipment is severly lacking and the overall atmosphere is depressing. I was baffled by this considering how well equipped normal Basic Fit gyms are. While I do understand that the concept of women only gym is helpful for certain people, they really are doing them a huge disservice by offering such a low quality place. Ladies, please be aware they are treating yall like a second choice compared to normal Basic Fit gyms. No choice of plates, no choice of proper grips for cables, dumbbells only going up to 26kg, crowded spaces, low tier stationary bikes and not nearly enough machines and treadmills to cover the demand. Last but not least, the room is just plain sad with these weird af motivational quotes with a "women target twist". Pretty sexist imo you can be motivational without making it all about stereotypical "women's thing". Sad

I worked out there for a few years butnot anymore. There is no appointment for the same week, it's always dirty when I go there (since Corona, you would think they have to start cleaning more but it's the opposite). I am stopping my membership there, really unhappy, two years ago was better before the renovation of the changing rooms. Everything is open now and I don't want to take a shower and everyone to be able to see me. Really uncomfortable.

Very dirty. Some people do not clean the equipment after the use. Some dirty napkins that are laying around I see already for 3 weeks. The change area has no room for 1,5 meter. And today i ran into a used toothpick laying on the equipment?!?! One of the staff ladies is nice another one is annoyed all the time. All the staff is doing — sitting behind the reception desk. CLEAN!

As the name suggests, it’s a no-frills basic gym. I’m very grateful for a women-only space to do my workouts, precisely so I’m protected from the type of men in this review section complaining about a women-only space! They illustrate perfectly why a women’s space is needed. I like to listen to my own music, and find that the volume of the music in this gym is sometimes a bit too loud.

I am going there because it is close to my work. The place is very dirty (toilets, shared areas, changing rooms). Some members occupy the locker without actually having a lock, so you cannot place your items there even having a lock. The equipment (mats) are super old and almost worn out. I asked when they were going to replace it and the answer "when they will be completely ripped off". Common, people - think of your members - we pay money for this.

This place is really not cared for. There is only one tiny bathroom for the whole gym and it is DIRTY. Bin is always over flowing and there’s no soap and it’s just unclean. They can do better.

Basic-fit "Ladies" but they have male instructors walking around. Seems a bit weird... when looking at the reviews, you"ll see people complaining about them aswell. Basic-fit should've dealt with this properly.

It was horrible. Worse branch of this gym. They barely had any equipments. The changing room smelled so bad. It looks like instead of throwing out their old equipments they opened a gym for ladies and threw it all there. Needs a lot more improvements.

Installations of the gym are good enough. Customer service is almost non existent and dismal. When you can actually contact them, it will take up so much of your time with absurd interactions and ridiculous demands it's just not worth it. Cancelled after 2 months.

I asked for ONE month only subscription and later I would decide if I wanted to continue. The lady in the reception told me it was ok. One month later when I cancelled I was told I needed to give notice (1 month). Talked to customer service and they said it was written in their terms and conditions. The lady at the reception said it was ok?! Why not train staff properly? The gym itself? Not impressed. I paid 43 euros for a month... very crowded place. If you are looking into budget friendly gyms you can get less money for Train More in the center and it looks way better and staff is very friendly.

Tried to cancel my membership but it still keeps taking money automatically. They are thievesndo not join them.

I’ve been going to this gym for a while and it’s never been outstanding but quality has decreased even more over time. Toilets are always dirty, you cannot find a locker in the evening because it’s too crowded and instead of just getting more lockers nothing is done. Moreover, people have been complaining about this forever but why on earth is there a MALE trainer in a gym for ladies only. Not to mention that recently new male employees have been at the front desk. It’s absolutely ridiculous

It's often not possible to find an empty bench or your desired fitness device. The area for the workout is too small compared to the amount of people in the gym. I don't recommend it.

Regret signing up here. It’s small, dirty, full, never enough lockers, always something broken or out of supply.

I did not went in, because it's strictly ladies, but ladies if you are looking for a great atmosphere and a clean gym, and you are living or working in Antwerp, this is the place to go, and it is cheap.

1 st January 2023 there is a weird man ( your new colleague) which is asking to all the girls to call him and works out behind our back.

Even after I stopped they still take money while saying u can visit until end of the month and charge u for visiting after. I paid 54 euro for that

It's nice to have a place that's just ladies! It is pretty small and the showers are one big question mark to me, but for the rest it's a great gym

the equipment is pretty outdated and some of it is even broken. i wish they would invest more in this gym, because it’s pretty busy. but i still like it there more as opposed to a mixed gym.

Good machines and more equipment than other Basic-fit. Lack of cleanliness and organization

Not just for ladies. Excellent club. Clean, plenty of equipment, many options.

I usually go to the "normal" basic fit and thought that the idea of a women only gym was interesting, so I tried it out. I found the design of the gym so feminine that it almost seemed like a parody (the basicfit website describes it as "Natural materials, wood, plants and pastel shades [which] accentuate the woman factor"......). But the worst thing was the equipment: the majority were meant for cardio (and were in quite bad shape), while the strength training section was vastly underdeveloped compared to their other gyms. I found the basic fit ladies gym to promote a specific type of fitness for women while at the same time neglecting the space that women could occupy in their normal gyms. Basic fit found a cheap and easy solution: rather than making normal gyms better, they directed women to a worse gym.

Nice gym, the only issue that I have is that it could be a bit bigger because there are a lot of people sometimes. Overall good
