We had the best day at Dutch Wonderland! This was the perfect size park for our family at this stage…not too overwhelming. My son is 8 and doesn’t have the love for thrill rides just yet. We enjoyed lots of rides and the wait wasn’t too bad. Some of our favorite rides were the log plume, chairlift, bumper cars, spinning turtles, and the antique cars. We also highly recommend the dive shoes! Both shows were very good! Don’t sit in the splash zone unless you wanna get soaked! It is basically part of the show to make sure you leave wet. 😂. Highly skilled divers! The food at lunch was pricey but there were lots of options. Highly recommend the option of the Mill Stream Eatery. You can eat in the AC and most of the park options are located here, in one spot: pizza, burgers, chicken tenders, sprouts healthy options, etc.

Honest review - Dutch Wonderland is a great amusement park for toddlers big and small. A magical kingdom for kids, there is a lot to do, from rides, trains, boats, dinosaurs, shows, eateries, water fun, and more. While we enjoyed the park, most of our day was spent waiting. Waiting in line to get into the parking lot, waiting for our bags to be checked, then waiting for rides or purchasing food. We tried a weekday instead of a weekend but there were still long wait times. This resulted in us not being able to see all the rides or even view the dinosaur attraction so plan accordingly. This could easily be a two day visit because of the amount of people/waiting. Tickets - Can be purchased online through the website. - You can find cheaper tickets on Groupon or if your company offers a corporate discount website, they might be even cheaper so explore your options before you purchase. - Your ticket allows you early access to the park a day before after 4pm. Might be worth it just to make sure you get through all the attractions once you visit the next day. Day of, you can get in by 10:30 but brave yourself for the lines. -Water park closes at 6pm, main park closes at 7pm. Bags - You can bring in a bag but it must be 15x15x15. They have a ruler and will measure your bag! If it doesn't meet the criteria, you will be asked to put your bag in your car. Pack appropriately. -There are three tables with security that will be checking your bags. Parking - There are only three parking attendants and hundreds of cars. If you're coming from 30 West, get ready to wait a long time. - Best option is to come in from 30 East or from the shopping center across the street! You'll get in way faster. - $22 for general parking and it's easy to buy your parking pass online for a quick scan of your phone and you're on your way. Food - Expensive. $12.99 for 3-4 chicken tenders, $19.99 for a bucket of soggy/greasy fries, $16.99 for tenders and fries. $17.99 for a souvenir cup that allows you unlimited refills, $4.99 for fountain side, $4 for a bottle of water. Overall, it can add up pretty quickly. -The souvenir cup is expensive but it was nice to get unlimited refills throughout the day. - Outside food is not allowed but you can eat a picnic lunch you packed outside the park at the tables nearby. -There are a ton of restaurants on the strip but you run the risk of wasting more time driving out then finding parking again. - Get your hand stamped if you plan to leave and come back in. -You can bring in snacks and water to the park. Water Fountain - Looking for a water fountain that allows you to refill your bottle? Look for the sky ride at the entrance of the park and find the restrooms below it. There you'll find the water bottle filling station. Lockers -$15 for a large locker but it wasn't very large. -I think it was $12 for the small lockers. Water park -Small water area for kids to splash and play. There are cabanas for rent and lots of seating if you're lucky to get one. -there are plenty of stalls to change your clothes. - keep an eye on your kids at all times. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place for little children but bring snacks and drinks, your wallet, and lots of patience!

A very good children park in Lancaster. Great ride selection for the kids. Lots of shows. Food choices are good. Plenty of parking at a Steel prices. A great Halloween atraction. Dinasor Island is an attraction there also.

WAY better than last year!!! The staff is so much better than in 2021’s. The food improved as well! It’s a perfect place for little ones, preferably 2-13. But they do have a couple of rides for the teenagers / adults. - A Vacationing New Yorker

Perfect family fun for the little ones. The parks size and amenities are designed for younger kids - I think kids 8 and under would get the most out of the park. Really liked that there were lots of rides and attractions for really little kids (5 to 3 years old) so they aren't left out either. There are also quiet spaces in the park if your kids need a little chill out time. Tons of food options too so you don't have to leave the park. There are also a couple of larger coasters for the bigger kids.

My first visit at 40! I joined my dear friend and her 4 year old daughter. Perfect park for younger children! Clean, not too large, good variety of attractions, thoughtful layout, not a terribly long wait for anything. The water attraction area was great, and I'm usually not a fan. Lots of attendants to keep little ones safe and lots of fun slides and attractions. I loved that the larger water slide had a lift device for the floats, so the riders just go up the stairs and get in. I think I loved it more than my little "niece"! Food and drink is a bit pricey, but that was not a surprise. They will check your bags, so keep to the size limit, or you'll be returning to your car. Even though my friend hardly uses strollers anymore, it was a huge help to have it for a day at the amusement park. My friend has season passes and they've paid for themselves a few times over already. Make it a fun summer season if you have young children!

This place is a lot of fun for kids. My 3 year old enjoyed alot. Rides are perfect for his age. Eateries are good. Shows are good. A lot to do for whole day. There is little water park inside too so don't forget swimming costumes. Grab a map from the entrance before going in. The place was a little crowded because of long weekend when we visited. To avoid long lines for rides plan accordingly. Rest areas are clean. Overall park is nice. We'll surely visit again.

We have 2 young kids and we love Dutch Wonderland! We have been going there for years and the water park is always a hit. Ticket prices have gone up in recent years, but the season passes make each visit pretty reasonable. Staff is super friendly, rides are perfect for kids and the food selection is always good.

Awesome theme park for smaller kids. This is the perfect place to come to when your kids are younger since most rides are catered towards their size. This is also a good place for all ages. Good variety of attractions with roller coasters, water shows, water rides and food courts. Not as crowded as the larger parks.

Had such a great time with the kids. It's Oct! So lots of Halloween fun, candy, and great rides! Had an amazing time. The staff were well trained on the rides and made sure people followed the rules! Very clean has a private nursing station for moms nursing. The season passes are well worth the price if you can go a couple of times! So far we went 5 times this year with our new passes!! An especially great employee was DAMION he was working the hot air balloons near the slides and twister! He was very knowledgeable and friendly! Did a great job inspecting everything!

Really fun place for most ages. Great mix of larger and smaller rides. Food is ok, not the best but not the worst. It would be nice if there were misting towers around to help keep people cooler during the heat. But overall great place for fun

Fun day for the family. Plenty of rides, lots of food options. Kids really enjoyed it. A lot of shaded areas from tall trees and park is well maintained compared to other local amusement parks. Some long lines but not as long as other places. Worth a stop if you are in the Lancaster area and looking for a good family day for the kids

It is such a great park that is kid oriented in every aspect. We all had a blast! Lines weren't bad, they should mention in more places on their website though about the park being cashless 🙄

We visited this park on a Sunday. We stayed next door at the Cartoon Network hotel. The park was great for kids 9 & under. Be prepared for long lines. The lines for rides where very long and it was very hot. The lines to get food and beverages where also long as well. The kids enjoyed the park, but not walking around In The heat. We stayed for about 4 hours before the kids where ready to return to the pool hotel. I was happy I didn’t pay full price for the tickets because we didn’t stay long

Great amusement park for kids, so many rides and entertainment at this location. Worth to wait in the lines( you can expect in any other parks). Kids under 3 doesn’t have much ride options. Dino park can be a large one. Many choices for food. You can save $5 if you buy tickets online.

What a great place for toddlers! Even my two year old who is above 36” can have lots of things to play. The park is small but big enough for young kids. Everything is open the day we went, not one is closed or in maintenance. We stayed at the park for 7 hours but didn’t finish all of them. The restaurants inside are tasty. A little bit pricey if purchased everything separately. For example, The Mill Stream Eatery’s burger + fries = $16.99, flatbread pizza is $12.99. Parking is convinced and costs $20.

Great clean family fun. Perfect for small ones. The park is just the right size and has plenty for small kids to do. Our daughter is 5 and was fully entertained the whole day! No roaming packs of rowdy teens here. Just families with children, I don’t think I heard one cuss word all day, unless me or my husband said one 😂. So it’s a great atmosphere for wholesome fun.

Amazing place. Kids enjoyed the rides. Wish some more rides were open but understandable due to current situation. Special shout out to staff Meredith who was operating the Twister ride! Super friendly!

Always a wonderful place to take young children. Our grandkids love it here. Small but totally worth the drive for a great experience. The water park is an added fun place for those hot days. It's included in the ticket price.

Great for small kids. Lots for them to do. Even older kids had a good time on the roller coasters. Recommend eating at the potato patch. The fries are awesome!

This was our first time visiting Dutch wonderland, and we were so impressed! We are already talking about our next visit back. Firstly, the employees here are SECOND TO NONE. They are the kindest, friendliest, most helpful people. I was taking a selfie of my husband kids and I on the merry go Round and the employee asked to take our picture for us. They clearly love their jobs, and it made the experience for the kids so much more magical. The lines moved quickly and most lines provided adequate shade while waiting. We also appreciated that restrooms were placed in frequent, convenient locations throughout the park, making it easy for us to access with kids and removed the task of searching for one! There are water bottle refill stations throughout the park, so being an empty water tumblr! We also appreciated that kids 2 and under were free for both the admission and the all you can eat pasta and pizza buffet! Both of our kids could ride the majority of the rides even at 5 and 2 years old! We got the entire park done in a day and even rode some things twice and spent 45 minutes cooling down in duke’s lagoon! We had to wait to get into the park, but only because we got there so early before they opened! No fault of theirs! Dutch wonderland is worth the visit! A hidden gem!

An absolutely fantastic place to take a family. As a longtime pass holder to, and now a current employee of another nearby amusement park, I tried out DW for the first time today with my 3 year old son. What a WONDERful day. We will definitely be back! That said it’s far from perfect, and I have both cheers and jeers to share. Had a pretty historically bad start while waiting in line for the Wonderland Special train ride immediately upon entering, as it rolled backward out of the station with guests disembarking, and several operators frantically trying to stop it. Very lucky that an entire train full of people weren’t injured pretty badly. Once it was operating (we opted to wait a few hours) it was a great ride; arguably better than their nearby competition’s kids train. My son says it was his favorite thing he did all day to “ride the red train.” Don’t miss the Dive Show, it is a true standout and was personally my favorite part of the day. The performers all deserve top marks both during and after the show for their showmanship, and their abilities… just awesome. Nothing like it at other nearby parks. My son loves dinosaurs and had a great time visiting them in person on Exploration Island. The fact that the animatronics are getting very dilapidated didn’t phase him one bit and won’t phase your younger kids either, while I noticed a lack of teeth (most of the t-rex’s are gone), lots of tears and holes, and in some cases a lack of function altogether in several of the dinos… this is past due for some TLC as it is another otherwise GREAT area that stands out from other parks. In my opinion statues would be more satisfactory than a clearly neglected “moving” exhibit. 2023’s new teacup ride was a delight. Both my son and I completely enjoyed the ride amidst laughs and smiles. As a larger dad, I was also pleased I managed to fit to ride with my little guy. Merlin’s Mayhem is the most modern coaster in the park. It’s not a coaster park so don’t set your expectations too high as an enthusiast, but it’s an awesome little ride for more daring kiddos. Parents expecting something “bigger” for themselves to ride shouldn’t expect much. It was empty all day when we attended, and feels out of place among many other more budget-feeling kiddie attractions. Our lone food purchase was a $10 order of french fries from the aptly named Potato Patch. The line was long, the employees were young and inexperienced, and the fries were hot and soggy/greasy. Not terrible, not great. The only absolute “whiff” on the part of the park is a lack of water bottle filling stations, or any clear instructions on where we might find water fountains; we struggled for a few hours until we finally found a fountain near the rear station skyride restrooms. We asked for water at an f&b location and were presented a laughably small styrofoam cup. While completely acceptable to offer, bottle filling stations would have made this a complete experience for my family. The bag policy wouldn’t be as tedious as it felt if more modern security measures were in place. Manual search was quite a shakedown, even though we packed very light and opted to picnic from our $27 preferred parking space (parking is limited, but we figured if $22 was the low price, we might as well be closer). A definite pain point prior to entering the lovely renovated castle shop. The only other thing I couldn’t help but notice was that the bulk of public-facing employees, also serving as season pass billboards, were between 15-18. It says something that there seemed to be no longer-tenured folks operating rides or working f&b, hold for a few. It makes a big difference when an adult happily engages with my kid while checking their restraint on the airplanes, versus a gondola-operating teenager asking guests what time it was, lamenting that it’s their break time soon. All-in-all, it’s a park full of charm and wonderful family moments, with room to improve. Would be pleased to return and see what’s next as they continue to reinvest in their little wonderland.

What a fantastic place. I came here at age 44 this year and everything I remember from 30 years, almost all is still here and wonderful as the name promises. You can even bring in your own food and drinks and baby stroller if you like. For what you get, this park is so sweet and old fashioned. They still have the charming things we remember from the old times and they added a few new things that are nice. You can skip the puppet show though, that part is horrible. It's way too loud and poorly done to be entertaining. Also the mascots could be redrawn. They look like a ripoff of Barbie, superman and Barney, respectively. They should have a DUTCH theme. Lol. Still, it's 5 stars all of the way. A magical place to visit. The little church and schoolroom are sweet. It was disappointing that there was no chalk in the schoolroom. Also the monorail should be restored to it's original design.

Came here at the end of the day with my grandson. Things have changed in the last 50 years. That wounderful gift shop I stopped to see has been replaced with an all the same theme Knight and Princess gift shop with swords and tacky outfits. What a dissapointment. This used to be the best gift shop in Lancaster.

Wouldn't pay the price of admission anytime soon but my kids had a good time. Cash-less is annoying esp for carnival games & italian ice. A handful of rides we really wanted to ride weren't operating which was a big bummer. Overall for a beautiful Friday visit the lines were short & it was great to treat these kiddos before school starts. Bathrooms were clean & accessible, grounds were clean, maps of park wldv helped us not run arnd in circles but the staff were very helpful & entertaining. The dive show was fun, kept a 5yo & 7yo in their seats & left them wanting to see more.

I have been coming here since I was child, and now I'm bringing my children here. It's still a fun place to visit. It's geared more towards younger children, but there's some rides for the older ones to enjoy.

We went for the winter wonderland on a Wednesday between Christmas and New Year's. The crowds weren't too bad especially when we got there right it open and the kids were able to tackle all the rides that they wanted, that were open with only some of the things having slightly longer waits. I'd recommend the park for kids under 11 but our 10-year-olds in the family still had a good time. Food is similar to other amusement parks at around $14 for burger and fries. If you go to the Mill Creek indoor dining it's nice place to warm up and you can get a free fountain water so it save you some money on drinks. I'd skip the all you can eat pizza and pasta as it's $19 for adults. Definitely the sky ride, the train and the turnpike cars are best done at night for the winter wonderland as they have lights and decorations to see. Note the skyride is extremely slow. We found the staff to be friendly, helpful and overall we had an enjoyable experience.

I visited DW with my toddler on 5/20/23. The weather was very nice and the park wasn’t too busy. You’re allowed a small bag (smaller than a regular sized bookbag) into the park. I had snacks for my toddler so I’d bring plenty if u don’t want to buy at park prices. The area has plenty eateries close by so u could always eat before entering the park. My toddler went on over 10 different rides multiple times and the wait times were minimal. I did accompany on about half the rides but it was plenty fun for both of us! I would recommend purchasing tix online as u will pay more at the door. It’s a no cash park so keep that in mind. The bathrooms were all over and pretty clean too considering the foot traffic. This is a park for children under 14, maybe even younger. If ur looking for a thrill u may only find that on 1 maybe, 2 of the rides throughout the entire park. This was an overall good time so i would surely return. Have fun!!!!!

This place is amazingly fun for all ages. Having kids of varying ages even the adults had a blast on the coasters - no real lines and they were a blast! Our son has special needs and the ability for him to not wait in line is HUGE. We had a blast and they have a fun little train that my son wanted to ride over and over. You'll have a blast and so will the whole family.

such an awesome amusement park that is focused on family fun. We love that it is age appropriate for our little ones and no one is left out !!! The food/drinks are a bit pricey but with the park tickets costing so little - we didn't mind! We will continue to visit every year like we have since I was a child!!!

Dutch Wonderland is … Wonderful! Bottom Line Up Front: This amusement park is great for kids 12 and under. There is something for everyone, parking is easy, the bathrooms are relatively clean. The food is what you would expect at an amusement park, but they do have a Rita’s Italian Ice stand. They also have shows. I wish I took my kids here first! I almost scared my kids away from rollercoasters by going to another PA family park for their first rollercoaster experience. Luckily Dutch Wonderland was there for the rescue. The rollercoasters and rides are designed with kids in mind and it has a crawl, walk, run approach. We started with the Turtle Whirl, worked our way over to the Joust Family Coaster, the Kingdom Coaster, and by the end of the day we were riding Merlin’s Mayhem and did not want to get off. Merlin’s Mayhem is steel, inverted, rollercoaster that has very smooth ride and does not go upside down. It is a great rollercoaster that gives kids a big rollercoaster feel. My kids also loved the diving shows. Sit in the first few rows and prepare to get splashed! It was a nice way to cool down. The only detractor during our trip was that there were only three log-boats running at the Double Splash Flume water ride which created an unusually long wait time. No other rides had that issue. If you like rollercoaster and have young kids, put this place on first your list; It exceeded our expectations! Great riding

We purchased tickets for their Happy Hauntings event for Saturday. Rain caused the park to close so we went Sunday instead without any issues. We have a 5 year old and 1 year old (walking, not handheld) so we stayed at the Cartoon Network Hotel and with their wristband, we were able to enter the park an hour early to "preview the rides". No long lines, everyone was so polite, the decorations were adorable and age appropriate, they had a trick or treat trail and dance party along with cute Halloween shows for the kids. We were able to ride every single ride and see all the events inside the park. Absolutely worth every penny!
