Great zoo! We were surprised to find that it was so easy to spend the entire day here, from open to close. It was disappointing that so many animals were off display due to construction, the weather, or bird flu concerns. But even despite that, there was so much to see & experience here. The hippo display is unsurprisingly very busy, but we still got to stay a while & see the new baby. Absolutely worth it. The overall atmosphere was really nice too. I love how much bamboo they have growing all over - and they've starting hanging string lights from everything. So many pathways felt like their own little road, distanced from the rest of the park - when in fact they're barely separated. I appreciate how easy it is to buy tickets & parking from your phone. When we arrived there was a long line to purchase tickets, but I was able to buy them on my phone in less than a few minutes & get right in!

The Cincinnati Zoo was a great experience. We have visited many zoos around the country and this was right there with the Omaha Zoo as our favorite. The zoo has a few really unique experiences. The pathways are all beautiful with some areas having giant bamboo on both sides. The red pandas have the nicest enclosure I've seen in a zoo for red pandas. The lions and elephants were also in very nicely designed and size appropriate areas. Bring a map as some of the areas just end and you have to backtrack. We ate at one of the zoo cafes and the food was good. The zoo is pricey overall (tickets, food, and gift shop) but it is all for a good cause. They have things going on almost every hour and we lucked out by going on a slightly rainy day which slashed admissions. They offer discounts for admission on a few professions.

We had a great time at the Zoo; we spend almost all day there since is so much to do and see. The botanical gardens are spread out through the zoo, and we love that. If you are like me, and the main reason you want to visit the zoo is to see Fiona up close, I recommend that you go in the afternoon to see her swimming and playing around. But if you like to see the kangaroos, the zookeeper mentioned that they are more active in the morning, they have food courts through the zoo and bathrooms, so there is always a place to eat no matter where you are. We bought the tickets online, and it was straightforward; inside the zoo, we pay to feed the giraffe, which is $4 for two pieces of lettuce, you have to line up pay, wash your hands, and they hang you a bit of lettuce at the time (right now you have to wear a face mask for the feeding) that was a very fantastic experience. The zoo was very clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. There is a lot of things to do and see. The animals look well-taking care of. My only concern was some animals, like the fox, look to be a bit stressed walking back and forth; it seems like he was in a small space for him. But overall, this zoo is one of my favorites. We had a great experience and definitely will go back went is Cincinnati! Also, the parking was easy to get in and out, and it was free.

Worth it! Like most Zoos, Cincinnati Zoo features several hours of exhibits and animals from across the world. This zoo is an excellent attraction for families of all ages. Off season is the best time go, while it’s still a bit cold outside, to reduce the number of tourists. Likewise, arriving early will ensure that the animals are active and near feeding time. My favorite exhibit was Fiona the Hippo! I highly recommend this zoo for many reasons.

Excellent experience at our company event. Engaged staff that are happy to discuss the animals and share informal as they answer questions. The kangaroos were our favorite area. There were informative signs and staff in all areas who were friendly and engaging. At our company lunch, there was a mystery animal and the families were thrilled. I highly recommend the Cincinnati Zoo and Arboretum for company functions. The Winter light show is incredibly festive and tickets are very reasonable.

I've been to a lot of zoos around the world and I can safely say that this is one of the best I've been to. The diversity of animals and the overall layout of the zoo is excellent. You could easily spend an entire day here, especially if you check out some of their shows. They also have animals here that I've never seen at other zoos before, such as the African wild dogs which were fun to watch. I would recommend getting here as soon as they open, as the parking lot gets busy and fills up quickly.

Absolutely a gem of a zoo. In the warmer months the landscaping and gardens are immaculate. The animals are typically active and easy to see. We love this zoo and have since purchased the annual membership. Highly recommended for families with little ones (although it is hilly in areas which makes the stroller pushing hard).

Okay keep in mind it is the time of Covid-19. Getting to the zoo and getting in the zoo was fine. However once in the zoo it's a very different story. There are areas marked to wear masks however they have no one in theses area, minus the kangaroo/blue penguin exhibit, to hold people accountable. Therefore you are 50/50 at BEST of people following any protocol in the park. I'm being generous here. As for the park it was nice. I'd suggest either early morning to go when it is slightly cooler. More animals will be active unlike when we went around 2pm and it got hot 80+. Most animals were either sleeping or in the shade. Also you pay for parking as you leave. Since this was our first time and I pre-paid I was a bit confused. All in all a good time. Really would have been tough with more people though.

Such a great zoo! Exhibits are well designed, and there are a lot of great animals to see. Elephants are pretty much first thing on the right and a great place to start. Giraffes are also close and have a cool walk-up habitat. Then, of course, Fiona the hippo. Memberships are a great deal for locals and also allow you to get in an hour early (9am vs 10am) most of the season.

Great exhibits and friendly staff. Very clean place. Lots of variety in species and habitats. Plenty of food/drink options for the family. Also a good amount of seating/benches along the way for the much needed breaks. Great play area for the kiddos. Admission Price isn’t absurd. Parking can be tricky if you don’t come super early. Would be glad to visit again.

Had a wonderful FULL day with lots to see @the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden. Buy tickets ahead of time online if you can so you can get through the line to enter quickly. There was plenty of beautiful plants and flowers throughout the place which was a great addition to seeing all the wonderful animals. Pay a little extra to ride on the Safari train. I especially enjoyed the free cheetah encounter show where you could see cheetahs run at top speed and play. And seeing the hippos up close swimming around was just out of this world cool!!! Love this zoo! Enjoy the pictures. Plan your visit...👍

We had a wonderful visit. It was Christmas glitters, lights, music and Santa all over the place. Lightening was at its best. Carefully lovingly kept wild and aquatic life. Most beautiful experience was that of zoo train and the musical fountains. Clean restrooms and warm refreshment areas. Excellent!

Really this zoo has come along way. All the upgrades new exhibits and overall attention to detail for the animals. I appreciate the botanical landscaping, the worldly facades on the exhibits and educational opportunities. Staff was great and friendly. I recommend being a member, food and item prices are outrageous (ex 35 bucks for a pizza) but you get a discount if your a member. Parking is reasonably priced I suppose. I was disappointed in several attractions being closed however. Advertising what's coming in spring made me excited, but i still wanted to see those specific animals. I think if attractions are closed, my tickets should be discounted. I'd love to see the zoo expand, more big cats and exotic animals, Pandas ect. Larger exhibits and mire interactions with the animals. Overall however it was a beautiful day and great fun with the family. Can't really complain.

Great family attraction. Ropes course is awesome! The gardens are maintained beautifully and the variety of animals is incredible. Be prepared for expensive meals. The souvenir cups with discounted refills is a great investment, especially on hot summer days. Feeding the giraffe is always a cool experience. Masks were required for anyone over 6 to participate in this animal encounter.

We decided to take a family trip to visit Fiona that my wife and daughter have been following on social media. This zoo was so clean and well taken care of. The staff was polite and courteous and the animals looked so happy in their well maintained enclosures. Well worth the trip!

Absolutely worth every penny. We went on a rainy day (not a drop while we were there) so it was less crowded. That was a bonus because this place gets crowded quickly...for great reasons! The park is gorgeous. The plants are breathtaking. There are lots of exhibits to see and the animals appear so healthy and happy! Seeing the gorillas without glass between them and you...well that was humbling. Seeing the bjrd show was fun for everyone. Plan on spending the whole day to see it all. Seriously.....plan on 5+ hours at a minimum.

We loved our first visit! Beautifully kept grounds and property. The animals are the stars! They showed off! Super friendly and informative staff members throughout the park and exhibits. Water refill stations and mist showers throughout the park. Nice options at the gift shop. Good food selections available. Accessible in all areas. They allow snacks and coolers. Be ready to walk! It's all worth it. July 2023

One of the best zoos, our family loves coming here with our 2 year old daughter. - Large breadth of diverse animals. - Good view points at every animal section. - Friendly and knowledgeable staff, always a pleasure chatting with them. - Beautiful botanical gardens, flowers, and plants throughout. - Excellent carousel with 60 different animals. - Fun train ride for kids. - Play area with a slide for small kids. - Petting zoo with Goats for kids. - World of the Insect is super cool. - Our family has the Platinum membership and it’s worth it for the 9-10am member only early access (it can get crowded). Early access pretty much guarantees front parking too. Check on the website the months early access is available (March to Oct I think). - Great map design. We’ve visited during all seasons. Keep it up Zoo team!

Growing up with this as my childhood Zoo really set me up with high expectations for what a zoo should bring. I am so glad to see that they have only enhanced for the betterment of the animals and guest experience. We came in town for the holidays and got to see the Festival of Lights which brought such nostalgia. It was very busy but well managed and a good variety of animals were out and about. This is a must see if you are in Cincinnati.

Left a lot to be desired. 25$ a person and most of the major exhibits were shut down. No manatees, no polar bears, no lemurs, no lions, no elephants. I'm sure I'm forgetting some things because it felt like half of the exhibits we walked past were closed.. And next week, its 8$ a person. Would have waited if I'd have known everything would be closed. The reptiles were awesome, the monkeys were SUPER awesome, and the apes were cool too. Over all, I'd rate it 6/10.

What an amazing zoo! There's a large variety of different animals and attractions to delight both adults and children. Lots of places to eat an even thoughtful resting spots have been added throughout the park to allow visitors to take a break where needed. This zoo is very expansive and the exhibits are beautiful and very well-thought-out for the animals there. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend a visit here!

A beautiful zoo full of wonderful surprises around every corner. We found the animals in good shape, never saw a spec of trash anywhere on the grounds, met helpful zoo volunteers, and we're really impressed with the parking, since it was under cover, and made of solar panels. I highly recommend buying your tickets on line to make sure you can get in the day you want. Also, tickets are cheeper any other day than the weekends, shoot for Wednesday. They do have rentals for strollers, wheelchairs, and scooters, but once again, try to reserve on line when getting your tickets, there are a limited supply. Parking is $10.00, and we paid on the way out for this. If you plan zoo store shopping, do it on your way out. The zoo is trying not to use paper or plastics, so no bags to haul your items around in. The zoo is big enough that you should really plan on a full day to see everything. Right now the hours are only 10 to 5, so you don't have a lot of time to dally around. We came from out of state, and I wore at by 3 pm. So we missed some of the animals. But I plan on going back at some point, it's that nice of a place. There will be some expansion work going on untill 2025, but they hope to be done by then.

We went to Cincinnati for a day trip while visiting Kentucky. The zoo looked nice. Unfortunately during our trip we barely saw any animals due to the cold. We didn't get to see Hattie the Hippo either, even though it was above 40 degrees (which their policy states as the threshold to bring her out). Never got a clear answer on why she wasn't out. Some workers said it was due to her handlers not being available. Some said she didn't want to come out. They also had a lot of exhibits closed due to construction. It was actually pretty disappointing overall this trip due to the lack of stands open, lack of animals, and all of the construction. I voiced my disappointment to management however and they did rectify the situation, to the extent they could, which is why I gave the rating I did. My advice- go when it is definitely hot, although that will also undoubtedly mean larger crowds. We also had to pay $10 for parking after walking from the parking lot into the zoo: however there was nobody at the gate to verify we paid when leaving so that seemed like an unnecessary fee.

What a great zoo that is fun for the everyone in the family. There is plenty of snacks and bathrooms. We enjoyed seeing Ms. Sassy herself Ms. Fiona. That was such a treat. We had a special excursion with Mr. Moe the sloth and that was so much fun to get a chance to feed him. Definitely recommend visiting this zoo.

We got to visit with the pass. We got there early because you get early access with the pass! So it truly was not busy at all when we arrived! We had no waits!! We got to see the Kangaroos, ride the train, feed the giraffes ($4 per person) ride the merry go round (free if you have a pass!) and see the cheetah encounter all before 1pm!!!!! It was awesome! The bathrooms are so clean and they also have a nursing station!

Visited Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden with my family in the month of August. The Zoo and Botanical Garden is worth visiting. There are various animals in the vast garden area. There are also different ducks and water animals. There is a good ice cream parlor inside the Zoo. Good environment and friendly staff. Guide notes are there to navigate the Zoo. Enjoyed whole day in the Zoo. Wish to visit the Zoo again whenever I get to Cinicinati, USA.

What a great zoo quite literally in the middle of the city! It is fun awesome place to go with family & friend's. It's affordable and you can see different types of Animals by walking or they also have train rides. Not only animals they also have a gift shop and different restaurant's.They have festival of lights there every year and it's beautiful. Staff and Crew is nice and respect you, and your family and friends. The membership is nice and affordable too. If you have food stamps the standard fee is $50 just bring your food stamps card and ID. I forget about the other membership prices is easy price's. Mainly The grounds are clean and there are plenty of trees. The landscaping is lush and it's just a great place to walk around and snap some great pictures. There is such a large variety of animals here and the enclosures are beautiful. I don't think there was a single animal that wasn't out. There is so much to see here so bring your walking shoes.

Loved it! Especially the otters, kangaroos and hippos. It was very light crowd, so it was easy to see everything and get food quickly. The food was great, with many options for dietary needs. I highly recommend! I think it’s one of the best zoos in the area. We will be going back soon.

I had an opportunity to visit in September 2020 on my way to Cleveland, Ohio. I thoroughly enjoyed myself here. Lots to see and do. This Zoo will make a child or adult of any age happy. Well worth the cost of admission and parking. They do have security patrols in the parking lot which made me feel safer visiting.

Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden is an absolute jewel of Ohio. Combining the two destinations is smart and they pull it off well. The zoo is top notch, offering a great collection of animals. Some of the specific areas are small and limited, like the reptile house, but they are still well done and offer fun exhibits that look great. In all the open spaces and nooks and crannies that separate the animal exhibits are the botanical exhibits. They are not particularly exotic or substantial, but are gorgeous and greatly enhance the experience for lovers of both animals and plants. Think of it as less of a botanical garden and more like an exquisitely landscaped zoo. We've been twice (traveling from St Louis) and will definitely return.

Great place, one might feel a sense of compassion for the animals in captivity. However, the staff is very responsible and they take very good care of the animals and the visitors. It was a great experience to see the animals so closely and appreciate the diversity of the nature. I highly recommend visiting this place. They have a very friendly environment.

Our favorite zoo. The train is fun and inexpensive, the enclosures for all animals makes you feel so close to them. There is so much cool landscaping and paths. The cheetah encounter is amazing. They have gorillas, hippos and manatees, things I rarely see at other zoos. Amazing zoo!

This is one of the famous zoo in Cincinnati. Compared to other zoos I have visited this one is little small but they have all the things to see and enjoy. This zoo is center of city and they have multiple parking lots. I have visited the zoo mainly during holidays to see the holiday lights. They have done beautiful decoration of light throughout the zoo. When it’s dusk you will see all trees and walkways with lights, feels like in dreamland. During the lights season also zoo will be open 10 am to 9 PM so you can see all the animals during the day no lights in the evening. If you are planning to see the lights don’t miss the train ride in the night it’s wonderful as train passes through the zoo. Train will be very rush, big queue so plan accordingly. It’s must if you are visiting for holiday lights. 💡💡

THE BEST Zoo I've been to in my entire life!! Beautiful grounds. This is the first time I visited a zoo and saw every single animal that I wanted to see. Gorillas and the amazing red pandas were some of the highlights that made this experience so amazing. They have an area where you can walk through and kangaroos hop right next to you as you navigate through the path. A true Safari like experience! This experience was so good that we stayed from open till close even visiting the gorillas multiple times!!

Great place. I do wish more of the animals where out but overall it was great. You can buy your tickets and a stroller or wheel chair in advance. The stroller is $12 the double stroller is $15 I'm not sure about the wheel chair. I did see 5 people and a child get in for $30 using there EBT card. It's $4 to ride the train and $3 to ride the carousel. You can get it all in one when buying your tickets.

Well maintained, lots of different animals to see, well laid out park, restaurants in the park to get something to eat and I plan on returning. Love it. Parking is a mess. Do not take the last turn google suggests. You'll end up on a dead end street. Google takes you to the exit end of a Parking lot to the zoo. There isn't an entrance there. You will be within eye sight of the park/ zoo. There are Parking lots located in the area you can park in. Expect to pay 10 dollars for Parking.

Great zoo, it does have some hills to walk up and down, so be prepared. Animals were very active and many different kind. I think this is the first zoo I've been to that has Vampire bats. The food truck area had amazing food. The day we went was hot, but the zoo has plenty of water fans to keep people cool and water refill stations throughout the area. Its a must visit zoo in my book.

While I have mixed feelings of the ethics of zoos, I feel better knowing their mission on conservation and breeding endangered species. The zoo itself is very walkable. I love the pride the zoo has on Fiona the hippo. A surprising favorite exhibit was the leaf cutter ants in the insect area.

Visiting from Chicago and have to say I love this zoo! It’s small, but mighty. And makes you feel like you’re on an adventure to find the other animals. Highly recommend the train. As you get to see and overview of a bunch of the exhibits. Then you can’t forget about Fiona the hippo.

I recently visited the zoo and was thrilled to see their commitment to innovation while maintaining the charm of the past. The anticipation of upcoming exhibits updates (spring 2024 for most of them) and reopenings was truly exciting, reflecting the zoo's dedication to offering fresh experiences. It's impressive how they manage to keep the older exhibits engaging and enjoyable for visitors of all ages. The kangaroos brought an extra dose of fun to the visit, being able to walk into their exhibit, and the adorable manatees melted hearts with them eating lettuce and even carrying some around. This zoo is truly a blend of nostalgia and innovation, making it a must-visit for anyone looking for an exciting and heartwarming day out. Nothing captures that more than all the old flowers and trees along with the solar panels above the parking lot; showing their commitment to be leaders of sustainability into the future.

This is hands down the best zoo I have ever been to! All the animals look so happy and healthy! We purchased tickets online ahead of time and didn't have a wait at all. Parking was 10 dollars, super easy, and you can pay on your phone or have the people assist you on the way out with a card. We can't wait until our next trip here! The Cincinnati Zoo is a wonderful experience. As a Toledoan, we love our zoo, and it takes quality to impress me in a zoo. Cincinnati did not disappoint at all. A highlight was the Cheetah Encounter, which, while it has a cheesy plot for the kids, is still entertaining for adults. After all, how often do you get to see a cheetah chase something at nearly full speed. Their enclosures are all well designed for viewing from multiple angles and providing the animals enough shade that they can still be active and entertaining. The lack of glass between the animals and people is great and allows for much clearer viewing. The Red Pandas and River Otters were our high points. They are adding a few enclosures that look to be worth the trip back in the future.

I went to the zoo with my daughters school field trip. We had a blast! So many different animals among their selection. I am from Indianapolis, so there was way more animals. It's so big, we did not have time nor the energy to see everything. The zoo is massive. Bring your walking shoes and prepare for a walking workout. I'll definitely visit again if I am ever in the area.

We planned a trip to Ohio specifically for the Cincinnati Zoo to see the hippos, and we were NOT disappointed! The zoo is one of the best I've been to. We spent nearly the whole day there in order to see everything without trying to rush. We watched cheetah show, such beautiful creatures to watch run! It's also very easy to get into and out of by car, especially when you're not the one driving.

We really enjoyed this zoo! The gift shop items were so cute. The exhibits were nice and the animals were happy. We went early on a Sunday before the Holiday light festivities during the first week of December. It wasn't busy most of the day and the weather was good enough for the animals to be out and active. Good signage, and wasn't too much trouble to navigate. Definitely a lot of walking. Food was good. Truly had a great time visiting with my husband and Mom!

We go every year to The Festival of Lights as a family, and I love it. There's always something new to see and plenty of activities for the little ones of course. My favorite was roasting marshmallows! We brought our own stuff, but you can buy crackers, chocolate etc. Not at all overcrowded or overbearing like I had worried. The prices are a bit much, so you can simply bring your own snacks, we still bought a hot chocolate and it was perfect for the occasion. (Most everyone wore a mask while walking around, just for the picture)

I was very impressed with how large all of the animals' enclosures are. I work with birds so the bird house was one of my favorite parts! It felt more like walking through a park than being at a zoo which was nice. I do wish the whole zoo would connect in a big circle instead of just having to take a shuttle or walk all the way back through the whole zoo to get back to the parking lot. There was quite a bit closed off when I went so hopefully the next time I go I'll get to see stuff I didn't get to the first time.

Plan your visit on a hotter day if you wants to see more animals. Toilets are clean , hand sanitizer available on each few steps. Stroller and wheel chair on rent are also available. All employees were much friendly. I loved the place and my visit. Sometime they open fake snow falls for kids and they enjoy it lot. Must visit Aviary section to see very beautiful birds.

After relocating to the state I embarked on my first excursion ! A friend invited me out to the zoo today to enjoy the park while crowds were manageable prior to the spring season. I booked a ticket online under the scheduled visit due to COVID19. We booked a 12:00 pm and pulled into the grounds being used as a COVID19 vaccine site. We parked in the J juniper section and walked over to North America to enter the park. Ladies: WEAR SUPPORTIVE SNEAKERS. I saw many women struggling in boots and heels. This zoo is humongous. Tons of trails and hills. Wear athletic gear. Do not overdress ! You will be sweating. The lines moved rather quickly which was a plus and the customer service was excellent. This park is extremely clean. Meticulously clean. There are strollers to rent for your little ones and hand sanitizer stations throughout the park. Most of the attractions were open but due to COVID19 some play areas like the treehouse and the giraffe overlook area were closed off. Very disappointing to say the least. We enjoyed the Ocelot, Chimpanzees, Gorillas and the Africa section of the park the most. Unfortunately the zebras, Polar Bear, lions and giraffes were not within view due to the far distance of the plains they reside on and the overlook deck and other habitats being closed down for the season. The elephants were beautiful yet again too far to really enjoy. I wish they had more attractions here like rides or a cute splash pad for summer. We lost a lot of time waiting in line to see the reptiles while in the Magnum Desert Dome. I would skip this. I would recommend visiting the gift shop early, eating, take the tram to the Africa side of the park, explore and then make your way down back down to North America and exit the park. Waiting for the tram was no walk in the park. Several crowds stand while waiting and it's not fun. The tram is also not a scenic ride. You can’t see much. The food was not good. My daughter had pizza and shared that it was cold. Also overpriced at !4 per slice. Typical of these parks. I had a Nashville Chicken sandwich from The Coop Food truck which was heavily cooked in terrible cooking oil. Due yourself a favor : Pack a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I will return again in the spring to enjoy the weather and see more of the Africa side of the park.

We took a trip here to finish up a learning project about Arctic animals and had so much fun. It was super cold today but we still got to see a some animals in their natural habitats. Its a great place to just walk for exercise and outside time with the kids. Even with most of the animals hibernating or in their dens, we still had a full day of learning. Be prepared to walk! You're basically walking up the mountain, down the other side, and back up to get back to where you started. It took us the entire day to see everything.

Really big space lots of outdoor walking between animals. We walked for quite a distance between exhibits. All indoor spaces were closed and no interactions outdoors because they really fear covid. I would give it a 3 except the people who worked their would go out of their way to see if we had a mask on. Even when we were OUTSIDE by OURSELVES not a single person anywhere around until that one employee would run from who knows where just to tell us make sure your nose is covered....that's just beyond crazy!!

We enjoyed our first time visit! Although some attractions are closed (indoors), there are still lots of animals to see. Social distancing is quite risky when people flock by a particular gate or area. Only North America entrance is open but make sure to make time when you reach the Africa zoo. My son had a lot of fun! Will visit again!

They've changed a lot, added new exhibits and are renovating some of the older habitats. We did miss getting to see the bears, and would've liked to see a memorial for the polar bear I've seen every time I've been there since I was a kid. My family loves the zoo, we go at least once a year and have been going there for nearly 40 years. Keep up the amazing work.

This is a great zoo- unexpectedly so. Wasn’t aware it was where the Harambe incident took place. Zoo was clean but went right in the morning and there weren’t a lot of animals out. But, lots of animals in this zoo- known for this Hippo exhibit. The giraffe exhibit was the BEST- you could feed them but even without paying to do that, you got to see them really up close. Overall, great experience, just wish the animals were more active.

We had a lot of fun with our son. We took the short train ride. Cramped, but we had a nice time on it. Quite a few different animals to view. The kangaroo walk was very cool. However, the zoo, even though really nice, needs a lot more signage. Not near enough to show where things are located.

This place was absolutely beautiful, it was a very good night, the weather was perfect to walk through the zoo and admire all the beautiful lights and listen to all the Christmas songs being played, while enjoying a warm cup of hot chocolate. The crow was very light but seem to get more crowed in the later hours. The staff did a great job putting up all of the light. Definitely a great place to see.

Super hot day at the zoo, but they had great places to cool off along the way fans, and misting areas around to help keep everyone cool. it was a fun experience even with the heat. wish the train had a better view of some of the animals along the way, but it was still fun to ride. The staff working there was great and so friendly and helpful.

What a glorious day!! Even though it rained a bit. Walking into the Zoo, the Elephant was there to great us. I'm a huge fan of Fiona, Fritz, and our beloved Rico! We were able to see each of them. So many of the Animals were out. At times, it seemed as though they literally posed for photos. The Zoo's layout is walking friendly, the plants and foliage are wonderful. Thank You for this wonderful Zoo!!

This place is AMAZING!! Literally so many animals will have to come back to see them all! The cool way they all put the animals of prey in a neat walk through exhibit, to the awesome train ride that takes you through the whole park, and the beautiful flamingo family with a new baby bird! Just really awesome- my favorite was personally the feeding of the apes! There is a cool little cave area that lets you feel like you’re WITH these huge animals! Highly recommend this zoo to any family! Don’t forget your dip n dots & fun stuffed zoo animal souvenir!

Staff was super friendly and helped to provide a great experience even though they were super busy because several schools were there that day. Will always return to this zoo!

I have been to a few zoos in different states and this zoo is definitely in my top 5 favorite zoos. The exhibits offer multiple views that are really close to the animals. My family and I had a great experience at the Cincinnati Zoo. My only complaint and reason for 4 stars was even with a map navigating the zoo seemed to be a challenge. The wolves in particular were hard to find. After we left we realized we never saw the gorillas and had just been walking in one circle of the zoo when there were many other ways that we couldn't find while at the park. They are doing a bit of construction as well but doesn't seem to be in the way. Overall I would definitely come back just the wife and I to be able to more enjoy the exhibit rather than entertain the kids.

Exhibits were wonderful. It was raining and wet but we had an awesome time at this zoo. Enclosures were great for the animals while still allowing us to see them. Only downfall is it was hard to navigate the zoo. They need more signage of what exhibits are where and how to get there!

We came here a few years ago on a weekday, and it was great. This trip wasn't so good. It was a Saturday so it was extra crowded. Bees everywhere. A lot of construction is going on. A lot of the animals weren't out. They didn't seem to have as much as they did a few years ago. Restrooms gross and no soap. The gift shop is very expensive, with no paper or plastic bags. So bring your own or buy one. Paper maps are $1.00. Cafe is not kept up, so dirty tables. Parking is $10.

I love visiting zoos and the Cincinnati zoo was astonishing! So many attractions and well laid out. The zoos has an entrance fee and also parking fees. Try to buy your tickets online in advance to get good deals. The cost of tickets is around $25 per head. $10 for parking. Lot of snacking options inside the zoo. Clean restrooms too.

We purchased our tickets online for our same day visit; we added on unlimited train rides which saved us a few dollars. They offer: military, first responder, and reciprocal zoo discounts. If you purchase tickets a day or more in advance, then the tickets cost less. Many of the paths are wide enough for two+ people to walk across. Carousel rides are extra & can't be bought in advance, but you can buy an all day pass. Going during the weekday made it feel like we had the zoo all to ourselves; there were a few large groups, but we didn't have to wait long at any enclosure to see any of the animals. Most importantly, we got to meet the BLOAT!

Cincinnati Zoo & the Festival of Lights. What else can I say but absolutely amazing & beautiful. Just check out the photos, although they do no justice really compared to being there in person. Went on a Sunday evening. Crowds were decent sized yet not so bad that it wasn’t fun. Still able to get good views of everything with just a little bit of patience. Can’t complain about the parking either. Pretty much got in and out with no problem. I definitely recommend checking it out if you have the chance!

Going for my first time and it wasn't all that great between tickets and parking and a pretzels with 2 drinks it was 70 dollars. For what? The experience to go see sad animals?? It looked like they all needed a bath and for there living space to be revamped. It was sad in my eyes. Alot of the animals or feeding wasn't allowed as the attraction wasn't open yet. Defiantly huge for kids maybe but I won't be going again. I gave it an extra star because it was a gorgeous day and wasn't so crowded.

There is no question that this is the best zoo in the North East and possibly the country. This zoo is beautifully landscaped well maintained and all the exhibits are incredibly well managed and natural. All of the animals are active alert healthy and comfortable. Many of them interacting with guests. I love the educational information at each exhibit and credit to donations. Due To the pandemic a few small areas are closed or have barriers but they do not inhibit the over all experience. You can easily spend the whole day here and is safe for young children. I got there early and also like how they are only selling so many tickets per hour and you must book ahead on line it really cuts down on the crowds and I hope that they continue to sell tickets this way. It makes for a much more enjoyable time not having to battle crowds

Went to see the Christmas lights at the Cincinnati zoo. They did not disappoint. The evening was rainy and cold but I really had a great time with my girls. we have been visiting the lights at the Cincinnati zoo since they were little. The rain did cause issues with the train so we were not able to ride it. Some of the inside exhibits were closed just for safety protocol. The lights were gorgeous as always. We got to see Elsa and Anna. And of course we rode the carousel. I am very glad that I made the decision to renew our family membership. Ohio is very lucky that we have so many amazing zoos in one state. I grew up going to the Toledo zoo, it will always always be my favorite but the Cincinnati zoo and the Columbus zoo are a close second.

Had a lovely experience visiting the zoo with an infant and toddler. The facilities were well kept and precautions were set in place in response to COVID-19. The train was cleaned between every trip, masks were required indoors and in high traffic areas and food ordering was online. It wasn't crowded thanks to having to reserve your visiting time online ahead of time. Would recommend for a family outing!

It was my first time visiting and for a smaller than space than Columbus it was a very enjoyable visit. Even with covid-19 going on and social distancing in place I felt I was able to enjoy my visit and see the park in its fullest. Animals seemed very happy and relaxed. Layout of park was a little daunting, but considering the size of the total area it was well sectioned.

  • 4/5 Bethany 3 years ago on Google
The Zoo itself was clean and fun. And we LOVE getting to see Fiona. However, the train ride is a joke. They put up plexiglass between seats but then still skipped every other one so it took us 1.5 hours to get through the line and off the train which caused us to miss part of the zoo before closing... however, the worst part (besides missing part of the zoo) was the rudeness of the train staff. One guy rudely told me husband to pull up his face mask 😷 even though he was clearly drinking his drink. So much so that he called security because he refused to pull up his mask until he was done and then the guy proceeded to tell him that when security got there they would be sure to escort him out of the park. There were several other people who did not have on mask either but they were never confronted about it. And if that wasn't bad enough, the conductor driving the train yelled at me as she was driving by to pull mine up even though I was pulling my cup away from my mouth to swallow my drink. The lady beside me was in shock from her calling me out how she did. We had no problems wearing the mask. We wore them when we were suppose to but the rudeness from the staff was wrong and to pin point us even though there were others was wrong. The 1st guy even made my 4 year old cry because of the way he was talking to my husband. He was really scared after the guy came back and told my husband he would have to leave that he (my 4 year old) was gonna have to leave too and "was going to jail." We had to calm him down and tell him that was not the case. So... I know covid sucks. I know that the zoo is short staffed and I know they probably get tired of saying the same things over and over... but don't be so rude next time. Still gave a 4 star rating because we do love the zoo!

We recently visited here close to New Years on a little getaway in The Nati. We heard lots of rave reviews. Mind you, this was in late December so I'm sure our experience would have been better in the summer. Because of COVID, you have to reserve slots ahead of time which I really appreciated, as my wife has some health concerns. When we went to book tickets, the prices seemed to be full price, despite it being the slow season. I assumed that most of the animals must be on display if they are still charging almost full price. Well, needless to say, we were pretty disappointed with the lack of animals that we could see. If the price had been $15-$20 this would have been no problem - totally understandable. But to charge full price for half the experience just left a bad taste in my mouth. Otherwise, it seems like it would be a nice zoo - easy to navigate, well laid out, some unique exhibits and animals you don't get to see at every zoo. Our favorite was the nocturnal animal house. Seeing the huge variety of wild cats was pretty cool!

It feels like walking in a state park that happens to have all different kinds of animals to see. The signs were kid friendly and informative! The playgrounds/ kids play areas looked like a lot of fun!! There were quite a few restrooms along the walking path. And there were food places in case anyone was hungry. The employees were friendly. I greatly enjoyed my visit!! :)

Second time visit. We had a great time here! The price is reasonable. We spent about 4 hours to finish the whole zoo. Sorry that we didn’t manage to see polar bear this time. Hope to revisit next year.

Let me start off with saying this zoo isn’t bad.. it’s very clean. The enclosures are very spaces and well kept. Most importantly, none of the animals seemed to be in distress. But, the zoo is VERY large with VERY few animals.. We were there for nearly 4 hours and saw maybe 15 animals. Seemed like for every 20 mins you walked.. you saw 1 animal. Honestly, felt like we paid $50+ to go on a hiking trip. Definitely didn’t help that we had two 2 year olds who we couldn’t keep entertained because THERE WEREN'T ANY ANIMALS TO LOOK AT! Most of the time was spent explaining to them that “the animals are just alittle further up, we’re almost there.” All in all, it was still a good day but I don’t see us making it a point to go back anytime soon.

Covid era procedures are very well handled, though unfortunately the park is not physically laid out for that style of traffic and isolation. Tram is only available to take you back to the north america entrance.

This is a great place to get a good walk in during Covid and see a wonderful Zoo. We saw every animal except the giraffes. A lot of times in the summer they are asleep during the day and you look at an empty cage. The winter is a GREAT time to visit. Highly recommend.

Wonderful. Got to see the baby which is not much a baby anymore. We were also able to see her and BB get hand feed, very cool. The up close with the kangaroos was a great addition! Only sad part was how little the snake tanks are. My pregnant wife was crying for those poor snakes. Feeding the giraffes was pretty cool as well. The elephant looked so bored and sad. But it is captivity so it is what is expected. Over all had a great day. Thank you to all the amazing staff members during this time.

Great place for the whole family. This zoo is well maintained and the staff are always nice. The prices are fair and the membership programs are awesome for even better deals. Its such a large well done zoo. It had so much that I wasn't expecting. Even a butterfly exhibit and 3D theater. The animals seem well taken care of as well. So many beautiful ones to see plus the scenery of the zoo itself its worth walking around just to view. The food is also very good from the small vendors available. I would recommend to any age. Its well worth the trip out. 10/10 reccomend

The food inside was awful tho I dont suggest even trying it 😂 I loved that you could walk in the cage with the birds and the graffiti got close enough you could almost pet them. This is literally one of the best zoos in the country. I’m so lucky to live close enough that a 2 hour drive is worth it. I’m definitely going to buy a membership and will be back at least once a month if not more. I visited 3 zoos this month and been to the zoo a total of 5 times. One to Nashville zoo, one Louisville zoo and of course the Cincinnati zoo. This zoo is the best hands down. Very clean, friendly staff, good prices and a great garden along with conservation and zero emissions efforts. Can’t say enough good things about this zoo.

  • 5/5 Nic H. 3 years ago on Google
A gem in Cincinnati. Zoo is laid out well and animals well taken care of. Can get busy in the summer but a membership helps that as you can go really early or later and just see a few animals at a time.

Such a joy this zoo and botanical gardens has been over the years! We’ve gone in all seasons and have enjoyed watching animals grow and the zoo change. The staff is an absolute pleasure, and they make us feel like we’re part of the experience. Definitely a big thumbs up from all of us!

Theres just a lot going on here. I wouldnt recommend going until its much warmer. A lot of stuff is "off display" and theres a lot of construction too. We saw very few zoo employees and those we did see didnt want to be there. Bring your own snack and drinks because the cost of food is very steep. I hope the Zoo turns things around fast.

I've been to this zoo quite a few times since I was a child. I absolutely love it even compared to other Zoo's around the country. Extremely easy to navigate. Seems like there is always a project going on around the park to improve the experience. They have recently added a clip-n-climb to add to the experience. The train will take you around the park to give you a good ideal of how massive the park is. There is also a Merry-Go-Round the kids seem to enjoy. Plenty of pit stops for food, drinks and snacks. The animals areas are all close together so there isn't any wasted time trying to figure out where to go next. Ample of parking ensures that you won't spend half the day tying to find a way to get in. This is definitely a must see for any Cincinnati native or anyone visiting the area.

  • 5/5 Racquel W. 2 years ago on Google
It was a hot day and most of the animals were in hiding or sleeping. I finally got to see Fiona, however Harambe is no longer at the Cincinnati zoo it seems. According to Wikipedia they put him down from the incident with the 3-year old boy. Not sure how true that is or if he's at another zoo. Over all its was a great experience as it was my first time visiting. Thinking about going back for the festival of lights. Masks are required if you'd like to interact with the animals. I also think we walked the entire zoo in 4 hours lol. I definitely recommend, fun for everyone!

  • 5/5 Jim M. 2 years ago on Google
I've been to plenty of zoos and this is my favorite. Great variety of animals well spaced out. The animals seem well cared for. Plenty of space to move around, never seemed crowded even though the parking lot was full.

Spent the whole day at the Zoo for HallZooWeen. It was busy but our group had a great time. Got to watch the elephants smash pumpkins. Most of the animals were very active. Wonderful experience! Lots of animals to see and enjoy. Cheetah Encounter, Hippo & Elephants we're my favorites.

Spent the morning at the zoo with my daughter. We have the family pass and can enter the zoo at 9am which is a nice perk. We were able to see a lot of activity today. We missed Fiona, but most everything else was out. A good day!

Came here to meet Fiona for the first time! So cute, all the animals look so happy! It's also decorated so cute. All the lights are up now so it really is a magical little experience. I went as a date and we had a really good time. This is also a zoo that is a good example of a decent zoo walk. The trails are easy to follow and there's not a ton of uphill. Gorgeous. The food is good and there are kids meals & it really is an experience you have to have. 💖

  • 4/5 Connor L. 2 years ago on Google
Overall it's a nice zoo, but some of the exhibits are placing too much stress on the animals and need to be rebuilt. If it's your first time, this is a great place to bring the kids for learning and enjoyment. Parking isn't too bad and the bathrooms are clean. The place can get crowded occassionally, but still a great place to visit.

Festival of Lights was amazing this year as always! Prices in the gift shop are outrageous. Higher than ever... Same with concession. Be ready to shell out $7+ for a cup of funnel cake fries! (Which were epically good btw). Employees are mostly masked. Not many masks on guests at all... 😷

  • 5/5 Michael N. 2 years ago on Google
Take your kids... I've been to a lot of zoo's in my life, and of course they are almost all kid friendly. The difference here is that this zoo really focuses on the kids. This is really a learning zoo. There are staff at almost every habitat, engaging with children, teaching them about the different animals, and in some cases, providing hands-on experiences. This a great place to get involved.

  • 5/5 Brian C. 2 years ago on Google
Festival of lights is always a fantastic experience. Million of professionally set up lights throughout the entire park. It is a magical winter wonderland. There are characters to interact with along your walk which is great for children. Hot chocolate, funnel cakes, beer, and more available.

We went for the holidays lights, drove 4 hours. It was beautiful and they had a lot to offer. I just wish there were more cool looking setups rather than just lights in the trees. It's also a nightmare during the weekends between parking and the jam packed zoo so definitely try going during the week.

The zoo was wonderful. A lot of construction going on and parking took about 30 minutes, so make sure to add that to your time. Suggestion park in the Dury Parking that will save time. Can’t wait to go back and see how it’s been updated. The insect exhibit was fabulous!

  • 3/5 Vicki Lynn S. 1 year ago on Google
Wonderful zoo. The carousel closes early and we had no way to know until we got there. We were very disappointed by that. Otherwise a great zoo. Do note that if you go during the early spring, they are still wintering many animals and LOTS of exhibits are closed. In the summer with all their animals, and if the carousel ran all day it would be an easy 5 stars.

  • 3/5 McKay N. 1 year ago on Google
I wish I could give this Zoo a better rating but there were a few issues…the 1st being the zoo entrance isn’t clearly marked unless you’ve been here before and know where to go…second issue was the parking situation is ridiculous! From the parking lot to the entrance of the Zoo is a slightly long walk…the next issue was while they have big map “statues” here and there throughout the zoo the have a paper map you have to pay $1…not sure what the purpose of that is but nonetheless the less we paid it because this was our first time…so pro tip save your map for your next trip or explore without one I guess! While there are a good variety of animals and we had some awesome views during our trip this Zoo’s layout is super cluttered and confusing! Even using our map we got lost multiple times and had to ask for directions! We were so excited we did get to Fiona the Hippo, she was very very active and super cute! All in all we’d probably go back some day!

Very nice zoo! Lots of walking, and thank you for the sprinklers to help with the heat. Can you please put more of these throughout the park? We had Graters Ice cream and it was delicious! It was a nice way to cool down. Some of the animals were not out and some places to eat were closed. There was an employee to tell us about almost every animal. It was nice to see so many people working. It really helped to enjoy our visit. Gift shop was pricy. They didn’t offer bags, you had to buy one. Bring your walking shoes! Plenty of water and maybe even some snacks! It’s fun and cool to see but a lot of walking! The bird theatre was kinda cool! And there was beautiful flowers everywhere! But your tickets in advance to save time! We went on a Weekday.

We had a wonderful time. The programing is great . I highly recommend the birds of wonder and cheetah shows. We especially enjoyed seeing the hippos, feeding the giraffe and seeing the manatees. Zoo staff were stationed throughout the zoo to answer questions and provide information about the animals. Dining was ok, the bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Several bathrooms throughout the zoo area.

  • 5/5 Dave H. 1 year ago on Google
This is a fantastic zoo! I went to the Indianapolis zoo recently and Cincinnati blows it away. Admission was a fair price, everything was clean and well cared for, the bird show was really entertaining. I had a great time and this is now my favorite zoo in the Midwest.

  • 5/5 Krishna B K. 1 year ago on Google
We went on a public holiday late in the afternoon. There was not much of waiting to enter the zoo. We missed some of the shows, but be mindful of it. Especially the cheetah one is at 11am. There is also a birds show which would be nice for kids. There is a carousel and few other kids playing area at one end of the zoo. Some of the exhibits were empty. Overall it’s a good experience. Parking is $10 extra on top of the tickets.

One of the best zoo I’ve been so far, I follow this zoo in social media but it was my first time going. We too our infant and spent the whole day from opening to close and didn’t manage to visit all exhibits. Their nursing rooms were clean and cool during a hot day. The nursing room made our trip to this zoo worth it. Went during Father’s Day and they had a special event going on. Overall, amazing zoo and would definitely consider getting their membership.

  • 4/5 Donald M. 8 months ago on Google
This is a pretty great zoo. It seemed to have all of the important animals although we never found the bears and really only found one entertaining monkey display. There is shade everywhere. There are lots of pretty good food options. Beware - it's a fairly hilly zoo. If you cover the whole thing you'll certainly get your exercise for the day. There is at least one fantastic playground that all of the younger kids really enjoy. I really liked the kangaroo area. It felt like being in their habitat with them.

  • 5/5 Matthew S. 8 months ago on Google
This rated one of the best zoos in the country and I can definitely see why. Lots of great exhibits and a huge variety of animals. We spent 4 hours there and I felt like we barely scratched the surface. Definitely make sure to check out the hippos and the kangaroos!

  • 4/5 Rae S. 8 months ago on Google
Lovely little zoo, very walkable, animals seem well taken care of. The hippos are a highlight as well as the very cool carousel with animals like hippos, penguins, manatees etc. We had a great time. I just wish it stayed open later in the summer.

  • 5/5 brittny92 9 months ago on Google
Absolutely had a wonderful time at this Zoo! A few things to say there are a few hills so if you are bringing strollers, wagons, or manual wheelchairs just be aware there are a few areas that are accessible, but may take some effort for any caregivers or assistants. That being said this is a great zoo, and you can tell the animals are well taken care of! They have a lot of interactive areas throughout, and have a lot of places to stop and rest if needed. I would definitely recommend mapping out where you are going beforehand, but we didn't and we still had a great time. It took us, just a couple, around 4-4.5 hours to go through, and we missed a few things plus took our time. We did get to see Fiona and Fritz so that was pretty cool, plus the Manatees were a big hit with my fiance (Attached photos). Also something we loved was the fact that there were keepers/staff at almost every exhibit ready to answer questions and give cool facts about the animal(s) they were near. Something to be aware of there are a few nocturnal areas that are very, very dark. If you have someone who is scared of dark areas, or has difficulty with mobility in dark areas just be aware. It doesn't take away from the enjoyment if you do or do not go through them. I have mobility issues, but with a slow pace and assistance from my fiance I was able to safely traverse through, and they aren't super long areas so it wasn't terrible. We would recommend this zoo to everyone, and they are expanding in 2024 so we can't wait to see the new exhibits!

The Cincinnati Zoo has always been one of the best zoos in the country. A great place to visit whether you live in the area or are visiting from out of town. Tickets can be purchased online, prices vary. Lots of parking, plenty of food and drink choices, excellent employees, and lots of animals!

Beautiful zoo with many things to see, including variety of flowers between exhibits. Plan to spend the day walking as the exhibits are a little scattered and not having the best signage ( got turned around a few times) and online map was not the best either ( can purchase paper map for a few dollars in the gift shop). Lines to feed the giraffe were long and missed the cheetah exhibit( only came out at certain times). Can bring in own water and I think food, but they do have an several places to get food and drinks throughout the park. Advice next time would be to go early and buy tickets ahead of time during early during or fall to enjoy it all!

The zoo exhibits were great. It was a cloudy day All the animals were out and moving around. It was really nice to be out and about.. The only down side was there was a lot of intersecting path ways that had no marking or signs to show where you were going. We were constantly looking at the map on our phone or looking at a map on a post. At the end of the day we missed the Orangutans because we didn't see the sign that led to them. We were at the other end of the zoo. We would have to go across the whole zoo and back. At 64 and 58 we were tired so we called it a day. Overall we had a enjoyable day.

We've visited many zoos, however I must say Cincy Zoo is top notch. The animals seem well cared for. You need to go when it opens though! We went after lunch and only made it about 2/3 of the way through. Every employee we encountered was friendly and helpful!

Such a great zoo! There is so much friendly staff all around the park and the exhibits were so clean! Even on scorching summer days there’s lots of misters and fans and shady areas to walk. So family also! Changing tables in the men’s room and tons of stroller parking! And a play area to burn off extra energy!

Amazing zoo. Such nice habitats. Feeding the giraffes was an unexpected treat. Ice cream was also a good treat. Train is expensive and short. Carousel is very modern and smooth. Loved seeing Fiona and her family. RIP Harambe.

The Cincinnati zoo is one of my favorite places to take my kids! Every year we get a pass. They are constantly updating, expanding and adding new things. The animals always look healthy and taken care of. There are different interactions that you can participate in throughout the day such as feeding the giraffe, petting the goats, bird shows, cheetah shows, a playground, carousel, etc. Definitely worth a visit! Though. It is extremely large so if you want to see everything in one day you are going to need the whole day.

Always love going to the zoo. Everything was clean. The animals were out. Seems like they have done a lot of upgrades, and all the animals have more enrichment items. The line was short on the day we went, so my 3 girls got to feed the giraffes. $4 for 2 pieces of lettuce.

Our family had the opportunity to explore the Cincinnati Zoo recently, and let me tell you, it was an experience we won’t forget! Unlike any other zoo we’ve visited, Cincinnati Zoo stands out for its sheer beauty. The landscaping is a visual feast, with lush greenery and artistic design elements around every corner. The architecture of the exhibits is an experience in itself; it blends so well with the natural scenery that you often forget you’re in a zoo. It felt more like a wildlife haven, designed with the animals and visitors in mind. As parents, the highlight was seeing the joy on our two boys’ faces. The one-of-a-kind experiences with kangaroos and penguins were jaw-droppingly excellent. Not every day do you get to be so close and personal with these amazing animals! Staff members were equally remarkable, offering insightful information while caring deeply for the well-being of the residents of this unique sanctuary. Bottom line: If you’re anywhere near Cincinnati, don’t sleep on the chance to visit this exceptional zoo. It’s a feast for the eyes, educational for the mind, and joyous for the heart—truly a place that offers something special for everyone.

What a great zoo! Most of the animals were visible in the habitat but there were some areas that were too crowded to get close enough to the windows to see anything. What blew me away was the landscaping, flowers and greenery. Absolutely gorgeous! Parking was really frustrating because it was one of those QR scans that you had to download an app and sign up for an account just to pay for parking.

Lots of fun! Great for families. Hot day so water misters were out. Giraffe handlers were incredible, answered lots of questions. We had a zoo pass so our visiting family has half off tickets.

This is SUCH a well done zoo, up there with San Diego as the top two zoos I have visited. It is beautiful, the flowers are gorgeous. Many animals that seem to be very well tended and cared for. I would recommend it to anyone!

This zoo is beautiful! Loved the interactive map with directions on how to get to different attractions. We did the train ride. It was cute to do once but my 11 yr old son only wanted to do once. The animals and enclosures appeared well cared for.

It is fun awesome place to go bring family friend's and yourself. It's affordable and you can see different types of Animals there and get on a train ride. There's a gift shop and different restaurant's there. They have festival of lights there every year and it's beautiful. Staff and Crew is nice and respect you, and your family and friends. Everything is the same as I remember by coming here as a kid by my parents bring me here and going on a field trip here from school. This time I'm a mother and myself my husband bring our kids here and they love it. The membership is nice and affordable too. If you have food stamps the standard fee is $50 just bring your food stamps card and ID. I forget about the other membership prices is easy price's.

Great zoo! You need more than one day to spend there. Huge gift shop with quality items. The only problem is the circuitous paths. Could've been planned better and a lot of empty space. But well worth it!

Very nice zoo! We entered at around 3:30 on Saturday, the ticket only $15. Even though we didn’t have too much time, but the good part is we actually saw a lot animals. The zoo is not too big but not too small, just right size for walking around. We liked it a lot! Will be back again!

It was such a great zoo! Incredibly educational, with a wide variety of animals of all types (mammals, birds, reptiles and insects) so there is something for everyone! Also it is engaged in good conservation efforts so that is a great bonus!

This was my first trip to the Cincinnati Zoo in a long time. We attended during HallZooween. The day was beautiful. The grounds were beautiful, though somewhat hilly in places. My granddaughter was thrilled to see the hippos, especially for their Pumpkin Pandemonium feast. The only complaint I had was that we drove to overflow parking after seeing a "lot full" sign at Vine St. but were then directed to return to the reportedly full lot, which had plenty of open spaces.

We absolutely LOVE the Festival of Lights at the Zoo. This is the third year in a row, we have gone the night before Thanksgiving. We usually get there about 430 and don’t have any problems parking or getting in to the zoo. It’s definitely my favorite place to see Christmas lights in the Cincinnati area.

I arrived around 1pm too see the animals in the daytime. The zoo is huge and could require multiple trips to see it all. My favorite parts were the train ride, bird exhibits, red panda, and Christmas lights. Train ride could be a additional fee based on the type of ticket purchased. Lights start coming on around 4:30pm-5:30pm Scooters are available to rent for those with mobility issues. Very few food choices until the 5pm. Plenty of benches to sit on throughout the zoo. Animals seemed cleaned and well taken care of.

Came for The Festival of Lights. Definitely beautiful, but with the weather even being 40 degrees, there was a very limited amount of animals to see. My daughter was disappointed she was unable to see Fiona and Fritz. The visit was basically just lights. Thoroughly enjoy visiting during the warmer more to be able to see more and make the trip more worthwhile.

We were in Cincinnati and decided to check out the zoo when we had a free afternoon. It was much bigger than we expected and 2 adults took about 6 hours to see everything. It was late Nov so some of the animals were off their exhibit but there was still so much to see and experience. They also had the Festival of Lights going on which was beautiful. We arrived at noon and it was almost totally empty, as it got darker the crowds started showing up for the Christmas lights and it got pretty busy.

One of the best zoos we've been to. I haven't seen such a well maintained nocturnal animals exhibit in any other zoo. The leaf cutter ants exhibit was brilliant. Overall there are many animals to enjoy for kids and grownups alike.

We went to the Festival of Lights for a wonderful evening. Winter months have alot of the animals away due to the cold. All the exhibits that are inside are open and they still have feedings you can see! A light show around the lake conplete with some Hot chocolate!
