    I had an unpleasant experience during a recent operation in the gynecology department of this hospital. The operation couldn't be performed with sedation, as the hospital is lacking equipment for such type of anaesthesia. I also suspect that due to medical costs they prefer this 'solution'. I was told that that wouldn't be a problem and I had the operation without anaesthesia. Immediately after the operation I was told to leave the hospital, although I wasn't feeling well. When I returned to the waiting area, I nearly passed out before they decided to bring a bed. They let me stay for 30 minutes in a waiting room without heating, while I was shaking, before they told me to leave because they had to close this area. I eventually decided to write this review after I found out that the operation was unsuccessful and I have to repeat it. I realize that medical costs are very high, but that shouldn't be an excuse for such an awful treatment of the patients.

    Doctors in this hospital are resistent to antibiotics as it is a Dutch medical tradition...but especially in this hospital. Apart from that, an actual treatment is ok but of course there is a dosage of pompousness and pretentiousness expressed by the doctors when they address you and then followed by something they consider to be a "humor". The worst thing are the receptionists...for instnace I had a case when I approached the desk and lady was completely mute. I don't know if she is aware of her condition but she really has trouble with speaking as I stood in front of her counter for more than a minute and she didn't greet me, ask me for my case...nothing at all. She was just playing on her computer and didn't actually make an eye contact in spite the fact that my number was displayed. Bad things aside, I have to give praises to nursing staff as all of them are pleasent, communicative and willing to provide as much as service as they can. Would've given nursing staff 5 stars.

    friend had very very bad abdominal pain and they sent us outside and around the whole hospital twice, then we had to call a number and were told to go home because itโ€™s not a big enough emergency... very stressful situation to put someone in very bad pain in... they did not take it seriously and were not helpful at all and rude. We were all very stressed and didnโ€™t have experience with going to an emergency room, we were completely left alone and didnโ€™t know what to do.

    Very rude reception. Also at phone, they are not patient and talking to you like you are loosing their time, and they are not giving you right information specifically when you are talking with them in English!! โ€œ Still Iโ€™m waiting for an appointment, and itโ€™s a shame that you canโ€™t have an appointment with the doctor you wantโ€.

    Unprofessional hospital. Family member was having an internal bleeding, they refused to provide treatment, as they claimed that a previous bill was unpaid. They even offered to walk us to a nearby ATM machine. Previous bill was already paid several years ago, although due to their messy administration records, our payment was never marked as paid. Hospital staff had no interest in treating the internal bleeding before this issue got resolved, which could have been life threatening.

    ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’—I wish I could pay back the amazing help, support and energy of Ijsseland hospital during our difficult birth. We entered the hospital on Friday night following an urgent occasion. Our midwife called the hospital and asked for an ectra echo. We went there so stressed. The IJsselland personnel did their best to release our stress. They explained that was important to give birth as soon as possible. The next morning we were ready to give birth. The doctors (Philipine and the anesthisiologist -dont remember his name and Tatiana the nurse) were so incredibly friendly and helpful. They did more than we could have ever asked. Things were really stressful. But they remained so calm and offered so much guidance . The anesthisiologist did small jokes with words they knew in our language to help us release the stress.. This moment made us for a little forget our stress. And the moment of birth came. And things were really difficult. Tatiana, the nurse had just finished her shift and could have gone home. But she said she wanted to stay. She gave us so much courage with her action. The small one was about to come. Half hour later she came to this world. She struggled to take the first breath. Doctor Filipine together with the rest of the team did an amazing teamwork in minimum time and helped our little one take her very first breath. I really cant express how thankful we are for all. The next day we were moved to the children section as the small one was born lighter than normal. We stayed 3 nights. The amazing women there helped us again like family. Thea, a lady working for more than 25 years helped us the first night. Always coming for help with her warm smile. We were so stressed and she literary took all our stress away. I said thank you to her and she replied that she loves her work and does it with love. The next day other ladies continued helping us. Jorinda and other ladies that unfortunately cant remember their names. My words cant express how thankful we feel for your help and support. We wish you that life pays you back all the warm feelings and help you offered us. Was a difficult time but with your unique support everything became easier. Tonight we are back to our home and I am thinking all of the amazing personnel of Ijsselland hospital with the most positive thoughts. I wish you that life brings you so good people to your path... Thanks for all๐Ÿ™

    Went there at 2 am, because my previously fractured ankle was/is fractured or broken, with an ankle the size of a tennis ball, the receptionist asks me if I have taking paracetamol. The stupidity is to the roof!! Since when does paracetamol do the same job as taking a xray!!! AND, she said they donโ€™t take X-rays at nightโ€ฆ Iโ€™m out of words! I seriously am!!! Absolutely horrible! Donโ€™t go there !

    The hospital MISTAKENLY CHARGED ME TWICE 240โ‚ฌ for the same service (via my health insurance). I tried to contact the finance department of the hospital to get this fixed and they didnโ€™t put any effort in trying to understand what was my issue and they were barely replying to my emails, just sending me screenshots of my (double) charge, which of course was not solving anything. I think they did not speak English but they also did not show any effort in trying to support me or understand what was my issue, which was their fault anyway. In the end I had to ask a friend of mine to contact them in Dutch and only then I got it solved. It took me so many hours of my time to just fix something that was not even my fault. Very bad experience and I felt very disappointed about it, because I did not feel they took me seriously and did not feel the support I would have liked to get..

    I gave birth to my daughter in this hospital. I cant thank the nurses,doctor and staff enough how they accomodate and took good care of us. They were all been very helpful,compassionate and attentive. Very clean big rooms too

    I'm really and hardly disappointed of this hospital they take so long to treat a patient. I went to it thrice in week and ended up without knowing my issue.

    Our experience relates to the birth center/geboortecentrum (D3) of the IJsselland hospital. We have now been in the care of the geboortecentrum for over 4 days, trying different induction techniques, then the pushing phase followed by an emergency caesarean section, and finally the recovery and after care phase. Thus we have experienced a wide array of services carried out by numerous staff, as well as various facilities. Firstly the facilities are modern, clean and amazing. We had our own comfortable room for both the birthing and after care phase. The anesthesiology ward and the operating room were state of the art, and in general we could see they were equipped for any eventuality (as we experienced). Secondly, the staff are wonderful. Naturally there are different levels of experience and attentiveness, but overall we were taken such good care of in each stage from the regular meal/drinks service, to the midwife, nurse, doctor and surgical services. Overall, while our delivery experience was long and tough, the patience, experience, service and facilities of the IJsselland Ziekenhuis Geboortecentrum carried us through and exceeded all our expectations. Would highly recommend.

    Went there to see an orthopaedic surgeon for what turned out to be a frozen shoulder problem. They ambiance of the hallways was a bit more depressing than in the other hospitals I visited (due to renovation?), but the doctors and nurses were super helpful and professional.
