We had a wonderful experience at The Tides. The entire staff was extremely welcoming and attentive, the views were gorgeous, and the food and drinks were outstanding. They helped make our special celebration even more memorable. Highly recommend!!

Exceptional and outstanding luxury. The attentive staff, wonderful service, location, decor, drinks, food and atmosphere can not be faulted. If you have a special occasion this is a great place to come. The evenings here can be very busy - I do recommended to book well before. Parking is limited. Your are visiting this exquist establishment for a luxurious and amazing experience. We had a fantastic time and very much recommend coming. Service charge is included in the final bill. Have fun trying the mock/cocktails, plenty to choose from.

The restaurant has a fantastic view and delicious drinks. Get ready to enjoy a ton of local flavors. But like many islands the service is incredibly slow. I had the lobster and risotto balls as well as the coconut shrimp. Everything was good but the dipping sauce for the shrimp. My friends did the curry and the flying fish tacos. They loved it. I’d definitely go back, but only if I have a couple hours for a meal.

Firstly the service is great. Massive thank you to Neil who greets you at the door. We have a toddler and a push chair and he was ever so helpful. Nothing was too much. The restaurant is decorated beautifully in and out. Make sure you book early to get the best table. We had a water front table and the sunset is gorgeous. I had a surf and turf and my wife had the lobster. Both we were very delicious. The place is fairly priced considering location, setting and customer service. We were served by a guy called Jaron who was very attentive and friendly. Great work. See you soon

Birthday DINNER! loved this place The live jazz was literally the perfect melody to enjoy your meal to, the scenery was stunning and the decorations was beautifully done, every corner had special details. Food was amazing, i had the shrimp curry and loved it

This may be the best restaurant on the island. The food was fantastic. The service was incredible in the atmosphere was spot on. The restaurant is right on the water and the views were breathtaking. We planned our dinner reservation during sunset and it was incredible to watch and eat delicious food at the same time.

Wow, wow, Wow! From the decor (Beautiful art and paintings) to the drinks, to the food, and especially the view! We celebrated my wife’s birthday here and I had the fresh oysters flown in from England, I also ordered the crab, lobster and miso risotto as my entree and my wife had the Thai spiced seafood stew. They also made me a delicious Old fashioned bourbon cocktail. For dessert we had the “Tides tidation”. It was definitely a special experience that we will never forget, we will surely be back!!! Thank you for your impeccable service and attention to detail!

We booked a table for 6pm on Friday evening and chose to reserve a table on the terrace. From the guys parking the car to the hosts and servers at our table, every single person we dealt with were an absolute dream. On entering we were shown to the best table in the house, overlooking the sea under the large arch. We started with cocktails and were given plenty of time before ordering. The food was incredible, with so much though and effort out into the smallest details. The wine offering is extensive, we opted for a 2018 Petit Chablis that was the icing on the cake for the meal. At a time when it's not always easy to feel safe in the public all the staff at Tides made us feel extremely comfortable and my wife and I had a fantastic evening.

Amazing customer service, live music was fabulous, such gracious, kind and accommodating staff. I can’t wait to come back again. Fold was splendid. I had the lamb perfectly cooked at medium and my friend had the seared sea bass, also good. The drinks were on point. Reservation needed, even though we walked in and were seated ASAP bc I’m preggo 😁. Otherwise, respect the reservation policy. Such a wonderful ambiance right on the water. In between the live music, you hear the ocean crashing on the rocks. Just a super classy and perfect choice for dinner. Not too expensive either!

The service was perfect as expected. They have such great attention to detail. The food was good. I was expecting more of a dramatic sensation of flavors. It was still good. I definitely recommend going here to celebrate any occasion. Book early so you can have your choice of seating. I had lobster with both sauces. Both very good and flavorful. Brilliant evenings dining! Food was incredible, probably one of the best meals I've had this year and up there with my favourite restaurants. Under new ownership since my last visit and back to its best. The food was delicious, packed with flavour, quality fresh ingredients and excellent presentation. I can personally recommend the crispy beef and spare rib starter. The pork tenderloin main was cooked to perfection and amazing! The staff here are so professional, attentive, polite and friendly from the valet parking to the gentleman cutting our cigars. Personally I'd like to thank and praise our waitress Nausica, she was exceptionally and had a great rapport with all the dinner guests and sublime service. The restaurant is set in a beautiful location, stunning views and with great ambiance. You can choose from outside dining with the sound of the gently sea or indoor in a comfortable air condition area. Both highly recommended and the restaurant is definitely worth visiting when on the island.

It was my first time and I was absolutely blown away at the service! The staff all seemed so friendly and attentive! The food! I enjoyed everything I ordered, so did everyone at my table. We had an amazing experience, and it's easily become one of my favorite restaurants 💜

My husband took me here for my birthday dinner. The food was outstanding. So delicious. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The cocktails were very nice. Initially put in a room with a wedding party that was loud and enjoying their own celebration. Very pleasant staff checked in and when I mentioned the noise offered to move us. Not sure why we were out there in the first place, but the situation was remedied very quickly and exceptionally well. Ribs for starter were amazing, and the pork for main was good. The pork was a little rich after a while and the portion was too large.

Most beautiful restaurant in Holetown. Our breath was taken away from the moment we walked in. The service we received was excellent and the food was beyond excellent. We were seated at an oceanfront table with views of the pristine aqua blue water. Highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

What a delight. We visited with kids, and the menu for kids was good (not always the case with nicer places like this). My wife and I really enjoyed our food and drinks. I chose the barracuda (catch of the day) which was excellent as was the lobster risotto balls to start. My wife enjoyed the Thai curry. I enjoyed the cocktails especially the waiter recommended aquatic rapture. Service was superb and food appeared quickly (also good for kids!). Thoroughly recommended

Delicious food, beautiful environment and great staff. The staff were very well trained and polite, even the car was there already when we left the restaurant, they give a 5 stars service from the moment you park the car to the moment you leave. The food was delicious and big portions. The restaurant is very beautiful, we got a brilliant table with a view as we requested, it’s very hot though in the balcony as a downside to the beautiful view.

Great service - attentive, but relaxed and informal. The food was superb. I had the calamari for a stater and the butterfied sea bass for main - which was truly beautiful. Great view if you can get a table with a sea view. Parking - it's not a big car park and is quite tight. We parked at Masseys supermarket, which was barely five minutes walk from the restaurant. The cheese cake was delicious! And yes, it was my birthday, well, in a few days.

We went for a birthday family dinner. The staff were friendly, inviting and attentive. To drink we had the rum punches (delicious) and the lychee martini (which is supposed to come with lychee caviar but they have never had it so they should really take that off the menu). To eat we had the Caesar Salad (delicious), the calamari (also very good), the jumbo prawns (very good too). For the mains we had the curry which is their signature dish and delicious, the catch of the day (very good) and the pasta. I’d go back!

Another eat out on an holiday to Barbados, hi would highly recommend the tides, the breakfast was exceptional, service was great, we shall visit this place when we come back again, possibly before we go👏👏👏

I did see the Tides mission statement. It's attached. I did feel underwhelmed by the whole experience. We ordered cocktails, and we were asked four times if we were ready to order. On the first 3, we said we wanted to finish the cocktails first. We ordered wine, but for some strange reason, the starter came before the wine. I ordered crispy spicy beef. Unfortunately, 20% was grizzle, and I couldn't chew it. It wasn't very spicy either. The fish of the day was good, and so was my wife's surf and turf. I ordered coffee, and as I was finishing, I remember it saying it was served with biscotti biscuits. When the waiter came, I asked him, and he said they were only served with dinner. Very odd. He did say he would get me some, but I said it was too late, and I had finished my coffee. The band were very pleasant

Beautiful view of the sea sitting in charming understated elegance. Superb flavors. Service was slow, servers were nice but distracted. They messed up our order and when we pointed it out, instead of owning their mistake they started giving excuses which didn’t even make sense. We were celebrating a friends birthday so didn’t want to spoil the atmosphere. We asked for more butter and they just ignored the request…? Loved that they have a middle seating area perched up a platform so all tables get a very nice view. Some areas had misty fans but not where we were. I’d think in this heat they should cover that part uniformly?

Stunning spot by right by the beach/sea, warm welcome to this sophisticated restaurant. Fabulous food, with a separate vegan menu available. Delicious, and generous portions. Wine was expensive, starting at 140 bb dollars. Would definitely return for the food, view and service.

Visited 9th July 24 for my daughter’s 30th birthday celebration. Oh my god! This is the most beautiful restaurant I have ever been to and the best service I have ever received. They open your car door on arrival. The staff can’t do enough for you! There is always someone close by if you need anything. One guest did find this a bit intrusive though. They decorated the table setting with crystals and a birthday sign and gave her a dessert with a sparkle candle thing on. The cocktails are to die for… amazing!! The food is delicious I only have one complaint the beef thing in picture 4 is an acquired taste & it wasn’t very hot or maybe it’s supposed to be served like that. I don’t know. I have to jump straight to the dessert. The cheesecake with the ice cream…chefs kiss!!! They even had a live band playing. They were so good. This restaurant is a bit on the pricey side for some and the charges added were quite high. There was over 170Bds in charges, vat, service and levy. This restaurant is definitely somewhere I would go again.

Just ate here for the first time. 5 star restraint with an 8 star view. The menu is amazing, and the pictures do not tell the whole story. Everything we ate was phenomenal. From the moment that you enter, you know that you are in an establishment that take service and quality seriously. It gave me the Michelin 1 star vibe, without pretentiousness. Friendly and inviting, the entrance and bar area are essentially art galleries, with beautiful locally-made crafts that you can actually purchase. To this place, you must go. We chose The Tides restaurant as the place to have our last meal before heading back home. We had already eaten at QP Bistro and Lone Star, so the bar was set pretty high! . We were quickly shown to our table and then moved to a beach side one as it had just become available. Our waiter, Lorenza, was very efficient and good to talk to. The food was fantastic. I chose the mozzarella to start, but had a bit of food envy from the crispy beef my wife chose. For the main course I had the steak done 2 ways. It was perfectly cooked and well presented. To sum up, great location, great food and great service, especially from Lorenza

The three course Sunday lunch is delicious and well worth your money! Greek salad such a nice way to start, chicken Alfredo and roast beef are both highly recommended and lastly for dessert if you love you cheesecake must have the baked mars bar cheesecake so delicious coming from a gal who only likes plain cheesecake. Also, the complimentary breads at the beginning so yummy. Drinks I recommend the smoked mezcal sour or Tom's sister! My friend also loved ther pineapple margarita. Food was so good missed all the asthetic pictures here are the drinks and dessert :)

The Tides Barbados was the best dining experience I had on the island. We were recommended to RSVP here by a lovely group we met on a tour and Tides did not disappointment. I was able to make a RSVP on their website with little to no problem. Upon arrival to the restaurant I was quickly seat. What a gorgeous restaurant! I live the various hues of blue to compliment the ocean view. Great art work can be seen at different vantage points. The food? Decadent! Compliments to the chef. I was thoroughly pleased that my dietary restriction was accommodated. The best tasting food I had while on vacation. The service provided was the best. Prompt and professional service at every turn. The Tides Barbados is truly a fine dining experience and I 100% recommend having a meal here. If I am to return to Barbados, this restaurant is at the top of my must visit list.

The ambiance at Tides is really lovely. You have a prime beachfront location and our table was perfectly placed overlooking the sunset and sea. The cocktails were wonderful and well balanced. The food was very average. The crab cakes starter was okay and my main was lacking some flavour. The dessert which was their cheesecake was creamy. The service was great - no complaints.

Had breakfast here for my honeymoon in Barbados. Amazing service, beautiful view, beautiful atmosphere. Food was amazing!! Everything was just 5 stars all over. Would highly recommend.

We recently went to Tides to celebrate a birthday. When you get there, valet parking is provided, and then greeted at the entrance where you were seated until your table was ready. We sat in an air conditioned area which was nicely decorated and shown our menus. We had various multiple starters from each person, but mine was baby back ribs and wings- meat was sliding of the bone. Afterwards, it was time for our main, and again multiple meals were ordered. I had Surf & Turf, the meat to me was dry not juicy, for sure edible but not necessarily palatable. The shrimp and veggies were excellent. I’m a person that loves sweets so I had the bread pudding for dessert which is always a hit for me. Overall a great night out and good food in a wonderful atmosphere. A BIG shout out to Raynell our cute with dimples hostess, such fun having her to attend to our table.

The experience was amazing! My boyfriend and I visited for Valentine’s Day and were not disappointed! We had the crab starter and the curry and lamb shank for our meals. Very tasty and savory meals that left us satisfied and too full for desert lol! The service was exceptional from the wine pouring to the timing of our meals. I was very pleased and satisfied with the services and will be returning!

From beginning to end this was such a great experience! The service was 10/10 and the food was delicious!

Went for Sunday brunch menu. Food was exceptional. 3 of us had prime rib. It was more like roast beef and gravy which was very tender and a perfect medium rare. So much food we didn't need dinner. They have a great kids menu. The kids Sunday is what childrens' memories are made of. There was significant pressure to order alcohol. Which, after 4 times asking, we finally did. Alot of new staff so be patient. No different then everywhere else in the world. We were not rushed at all and enjoyed a relaxed dining experience. The real highlight was the entertainment. The 3 amazing vocalists made tears come to our eyes when they sang our 40 year old wedding song. Every request was an amazing rendition. Then there's the waterfront view. A very memorable meal.

On this occasion my husband and I popped in for a cocktail. Cobi the bartender was a total delight starting with a warm friendly welcome and making the perfect Negroni for my husband and creating a cocktail that met all my requirements! Well balanced absolutely delicious! Without a doubt we will be back.

Went to Tides for my last dinner in Barbados. Lovely staff who went above and beyond to accommodate as it was my birthday. A couple invited me to join them and the staff were quick to rearrange everything without fuss. I had the Caesar salad, lobster balls, and spicy curry. I really didn’t like any of the dishes but the ambiance and surprise cake made up for it. Staff checked on our table over 10 times as well.

Overall, the experience was worthy of 5 stars. The atmosphere and live music were amazing. The 4 star rating for the atmosphere is due to the heat. Maybe they could use more fans, but better air flow would definitely get them to 5 stars. I was honestly melting in my seat, but the food, service, and otherwise ambiance were tremendous! I HIGHLY Recommend visiting The Tides Barbados if on the island. P.S. The "Low Tide" (Contains alcohol) may be the best cocktail I've ever had!

Beautiful restaurant and the staff were super attentive. They allowed us to move to a table near the water when seats became available. Service was great. Food was great as well with a good proportion size. We went Thursday night and there was some live entertainment.

We had an amazing time here a few nights ago! The food was amazing, atmosphere was amazing. HOWEVER, our friend is highly allergic to Gluten and having told the restaurant this we hoped they took it seriously. Unfortunately after she ate her meal she was incredibly sick 5/10 minutes later due to there being gluten in the meal. When we discussed this with the manager he told us we were wrong and they hadn’t got it wrong. He threw the cheque at us saying “I’ve taken her meal off the cheque (after us having to ask him) however it’s not because of the gluten, we don’t make mistakes, you must be wrong”. From a manager this was so wrong!!

Very poor experience, rude robotic staff- pre booking experience appalling. I won’t be coming back- I’ve been on the island many times. And the service was appalling. The food was mediocre, but overpriced for the service that we received. To be fair could get better experience next doors for half price

We went as a family i had a curry served in a coconut shell it was delicious all the food was really good service was excellent you were really treated very well the restaurant was lovely we had a front table near the promenade and sea.

Not only one of the best restaurants on the west coast but Barbados. Perhaps even one of the best I personally have ever had. The ambiance, the service, the food (barracuda was delicious) and finally the views. Wow the amazing views. I’d recommend going early and hanging out in the lounge a bit and trying some of their specialty drinks and viewing the amazing art.

You often fall out of love with Restaurants which I have recently with the Cliff. But Tides continues to be class act, probably the best food on island at the moment.

We went last night to celebrate my youngest sons 25th birthday. The food and service were excellent. Our eldest son is a fussy eater but nothing was too much trouble. They prepared him exactly what he asked for. We have been to Tides several times and each time we have been extremely well looked after and will definitely be going again before our holiday ends. We have eaten at all the top restaurants on the island and Tides is without question, the best

My hubby and I visited on our honeymoon and we had an exceptional experience from the time we pulled into the driveway. We were greeted by staff who right away made us feel special. Our car was parked for us, health checks were done all seemlessly and we were seated with an ocean view in no time. Our server Wayne was amazing and made us laugh, took pictures for us while serving us our meals and drinks without delay. The food was delicious! We enjoyed every bite. I had the lobster and my husband the steak. We also had calamari for our appetizer and some very delicious dessert. We will certainly return! Thank you

Myself, the wife and kids went for a lovely dinner. We sat in the air conditioned section. They were super accommodating for the kids... service was top notch. I went with lamb for a change and honestly enjoyed it... This venue checks all the boxes off... a must go to! The owner has given myself business in the past onboard Nauti Dreams Fishing Charters. Great guy! I even had guest recently tell me how much they loved the experience at Tides!

Visited Barbados last year and had supper here for the first time. It was great. Look forward to going back next year

Once again the tides has not disappointed in both the quality of the food, and the level of service provided by the staff. My wife and I return to this restaurant time after time, and the standard has never dropped. We are back again next weekend, and I am confident of another 5* service.

Excellent Tuesday Evening night out with a Live Jazz Band at Tides. Always good food. Excellent evening, not rushed, stayed to watch the band. Kids enjoyed it. Great time. Will be back per usual. More upscale restaurant in Holetown so a treat.

The main thing affected the rating is exceptional customer service! Staff is very friendly and professional, we felt so welcomed! Sides to the main dishes were good, steak was alright but could be better. Calamari were over cooked. Interior design is nice and washrooms are clean. Since it’s open area with no windows, evenings get very humid and hot

If you're looking for a first class dinning experience look no further. The ambiance was exceptional from the moment you walk in the door. The service was prompt and attentive and the food was well portions and flavorful. I recommend the shrimp for the appetizer and you probably should get two orders because the four shrimp will go quick. We had the pork loin and mahimahi blackened and pan fried both where cooked to perfection. Unfortunately, didn't have room for desert. You will not be disappointed.

What a wonderful restaurant! From the moment we stepped foot and were acknowledged through the doors until the end of dessert and digestif, The Tides Barbados was quite simply top notch in cuisine, service and ambiance. We have dined in truly spectacular establishments at home and during our travels, and I can wholeheartedly write that you MUST dine here whilst in Barbados. This is now one of our favorite restaurants on the island.

One of the more prestigious restaurants on the island serving a range of different fare. I wouldn't say that the food is traditional Bajan but still very good! Atmosphere and service were great; the price is high and the quality of the food is good

I was there at lunch at sunday. Food was good, but cannot say fine dine… actually I found it too safe for a “tasting menu”

What a fantastic experience ! We really only wanted to dine in two special restaurants on the island, obviously Tides came out on top but they do it in such a understated way, you are made to feel appreciated from the minute you step out of your car, valet’s are professional but still personable from there the array of staff on hand is astounding , so subtly watching to make sure your are made to feel at ease whilst at reception, being seated in the bar, and escorted through to the dining area, this level of service has been tweaked to perfection and it continues throughout your visit. Food for us was out of this world and we will return on our next trip to the island, don’t be put off if you think it’s a little more expensive than some other fine dining, it’s worth every BBD.

From start to finish the staff of Tides were very attentive and well trained in their respective rolls. We were looked after very well and felt at home. Ps the staff are very good with a camera or a phone for the memory of a life time. Photos 📸

This is the preminent restaurant in the country. I enjoyed their tasting menu. I did not arrive with my party as booked and the restaurant manager quickly changed everything to accommodate me and delight me.

I know this review seems out of place given all the other reviews, but here is an honest review: -The service: while there are a lot of staff and they are clearly attempting to provide a swift service, there are “too many cooks in the kitchen” and the service was uncoordinated and confused. The staff were robotic and not warm or engaging, and do not ask about how your food or experience is. -The menu: this is a very traditional menu and style of food - reminds me of what would have been considered high end back in 2008. For the older audience they cater to, this is likely appreciated. Some dishes, primarily the vegetarian ones, are trying to be creative, throwing everything into the dish but the kitchen sink. Big yikes. -The food: if we were looking at diner prices, I would say the food is good. But we’re looking at a small mortgage payment here, and for that, the food could not be more underwhelming. Kind of the sort of food you would expect at a buffet, if it had been sitting out under a heat lamp for an eternity. -Ambience: the restaurant is lovely. Sadly, they have decided to cheapen it with dollar store turquoise trinkets. Overall, if you have tons of money and low standards, go for it. If not, avoid.

First 10/10 meal I’ve had in years. Truly a wonderful experience, good service, wonderful food and drink, excellent ambiance by the ocean.

The Wings Were Overly Sweet & Couldn’t Get Past The Sweetness To Enjoy Them, The Ribs Tasted Just Awful , Though The Atmosphere Was Pleasant The Food Was Not , The Best Part About The Food Was The Rolls , Good Presentation Though. The Drinks Were Amazing With A Lovely Live Band To Compliment The Evening.
