Definitely loved it there. Very welcoming and friendly stuff. Bar is great and so is the food rooms are big enough for 2 and clean. Great location to walk around.

Ordono is one of the finest places to stay in eastern Cuba (maybe all of Cuba). This hotel is a restored Spanish mansion opened three years ago. You'll be greeted by a cool towel and a refreshing drink after your lengthy travel to this small seaside community. Prior to Ordono the hotel choices were limited in Gibara... but no longer. Please note if you're looking for an all-inclusive noisy buffet and bar style experience, skip Ordono. However if you're looking for classic Spanish elegance from Cuba's past, local family restaurants and a small -town quiet escape...skip the insanity of Guardelavaca and visit Gibara. When you arrive say hello to Hector at the front desk and ask him to book a hiking guide for you to the nearby underground​ caves. Enjoy the elegant rooms (I'm rating them an A), unusually attentive staff and a journey back in time to old world Spanish elegance amidst a small fishing village atmosphere.

We only stayed the one night at this hotel but it was full of character and charm. Beautiful hotel with friendly service. Highly recommended

Stayed one night as part of an excursion with Cubatour. "Gebria overnight" Great service, you get a chilled towel and non-alcoholic cocktail on arrival. The 3rd floor rooms don't have a view as the windows are too high up, they make up for this by the stunning views on their rooftop with seating area. The rooms are very nice and the shower is amazing. Dinner is good, look out for the pumpkin soup, it's really nice.

Wonderful place to stay in a wonderful town - with spacious, clean and comfy rooms, fine food and drinks, and an extra-helpful bilingual staff. Despite slightly frustrating (slow) wifi, I'd return again and again.

Sehr schönes hotel, Zimmer in Ordnung, Frühstück Standard Obst, dann Eierspeisen mit Käse und Schinken und/oder Sandwich, Kaffee aber keinen Saft dafür haben wir noch eine Cola bekommen. Wenn man ein Sandwich mit Käse bestellt bekommt man ein Stück Brot wie ein Küchen Stück, wenn mit Schinken und Käse dann zweit normale Brotscheiben. Service war sehr nett und zu späßen aufgelegt. Als sie die Cola brachte und wir toll ein Cubra Liebre meinten, musste sie so lachen, dass sie das Tablett vorsichtshalber abstellen musste und machte den Spaß auch weiter beim Frühstück mit. Alle waren sehr bemüht das es uns gut ging. Es liegt ruhig, nur ein paar Meter weiter ist der Hafen. Achtung, wir überall stehen die nach Seife und mehr bettelnden Kubaner vor der Tür. Die Seife könnt ihr ruhig mitnehmen, aber gebt sie besser jemanden der euch irgendwo weiter hilft, das passiert euch auch als Bustourist, als wir die die eh vor den Hotels lungern und schon genug bekommen. Weitere Empfehlungen stand 05/23 nimmt ganz viele Kugelschreiber mit, die sind hier überall Mangelware selbst im Hotel. Und Bonbons oder Maoam für Kinder, viele spielen auf der Straße und wenn ihr vorbei kommt, hören sie für euch kurz auf, sagen Hola zu euch und freuen sich, auch wenn ihr jedem nur einen Bonbon in die Hand drückt.

El hotel en muy buenas condiciones,las habitaciones muy confortables limpias y organizadas.el desayuno desgraciadamente de 2 que ofertan sólo debes elegir uno,conozco de la escacés de Cuba pero eso no está bien. Aveces el servicio medio lento pero por la amabilidad se puede dejar pasar. El Internet no funciona según problemas en el servidor pero ya hace 3 días y aun no funciona. Das Internet funktioniert aufgrund von Serverproblemen nicht, aber es sind schon 3 Tage vergangen und es funktioniert immer noch nicht. Das Hotel ist in einem sehr guten Zustand, die Zimmer sind sehr komfortabel, sauber und ordentlich.
