The hotel was nice. Room was clean. Front desk staff totally useless.. Too many cats in the dining room. Golf carts drive too fast on the walkways. Diamond club shower was not working. You have to renew your key for late Check out but they don't tell you. The snack bar needs a menu. People got sick in the pool one day. Some kind of rash. The beach was very dirty as soon as you leave the property. Could easily be cleaned. Beach bar closed at 430. Friendliness depends on worker. Lock broke on room door and couldn't get in. The nightly shows were fun. Most staff very friendly

Good experience for sure. First the good stuff. The beach was great with lots of room. The staff was friendly and helpful. I needed some medical attention when I was there and they took great care of me. While slightly aged the resort looked really nice. The main complaint is about food. We got what we paid for so wasn't the best selection. We went to two of the restaurants. Italian was basic pasta options. Decent but not great. The Romantic one was unique and had the best food of the trip with one or two really good options. It was too bad we could only go once. The beach had some of the best food with fresh pizza and a lobster lunch you could order. If you are coming to Cuba for the food make sure you go to a high rated resort. The resort is built on a hill going down to the beach with the buffet being at the top. Our rooms were low so it was a good walk to the buffet with lots of stairs. This made it a pain with our two kids. You can call for a ride but it takes time to arrive. Overall it was a great trip and a nice resort. Just remember you get what you pay for. Easy to recommend if you want to go to Cuba without paying too much.

Terrible run down resort. Unless you pay for upgrades, this place is brutal. The food was repetitive for every meal and bland. We've been to other resorts in other places in Cuba and never had any complaints. But I knew the minute we checked in this would be different. Everybody who works here is sour. I'm not used to going to an all inclusive resort and not seeing happy people. When the staff interacted with one another they hugged and joked and smiled. When dealing with a guest, that smile and customer service was just very noticeably absent. Disappointing trip from that perspective but a week in the beautiful sun with my beautiful man made it all ok!

We had a blast there. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and professional. The facilities were under an improvement program, but it did not intrude on our vacation. The pools and restaurants were very clean and the servers were excellent. Rooms very clean daily. The beach was very clean ( daily tidal marine deposits aggressively removed). Beach beds readily available ( Carlos 😁). Entertainment was good, the boys and girls really worked to keep it interesting. The dinner/ water polo dance is superb as always. Fashion display is very interesting. This is Cuba my friends. What happens here is just for you and me.🤣

I couldn't see nothing good at the hotel. If you are a tourist they treat you very good, but if local (Cuban) they treat you very bad, unless you give them good tips. The chambermaid was nice, some barmans too. First day the room key didn't work, some days without electricity, the entertainment is very BAD (they need to learn a lot). There are 7 restaurants and only buffet was working (we needed to arrive early if not the food will be zero and of course no variety), there are about 7 swimming pools and they were very DIRTY and closed, what's the point of this hotel if you cannot enjoy tour your vacation? I may say that people from the Nautica and lifesavers are the BEST.

Honestly a good hotel, place is clean and well maintained. Staff was amazing, food was ok. I really enjoyed the pizza. Best entertainment I've seen thus far. People in Cuba are so kind, service was excellent the manager is beyond amazing always working and ensuring all is well. The beach I give 5star plus very clean. I dislike that everything was a good walking distance, difficult for those with small children, elderly or with adaptive devices. I've read many negative reviews and I disagree with them all. You go to cuba to enjoy their culture and relax. My husband and I had so much fun. If your bougée or high class this is not a place for you. This is our first time in cuba and will definitely go again we got to explore alot and met nice of people.

Worst place ever if you wanna have fun in a Cuba rent a casa and enjoy your time in town not at a terrible resort who treats it customers very badly and the tour guide who works there is very rude and sneaky... I wouldn't go back there if somebody pays me a million dollars

Beautiful grounds / commom buildings and, if you are a swimmer, great lap pools. The workers are super friendly and helpful. Rooms are kept clean but need refreshing. US embargo is having profound effects on availability of food selection, but at the buffets it is adequate. One does not go to Cuba for the food.

Worst experience ever. My partner and I checked out after the first night and went to a new resort. This resort is 2 hours away from the airport. Once we checked in and got to our room, someone already had their luggage in our room so we had to get the room changed which was annoying because we were exhausted after a long day of travels. We did diamond club and it was a waste. There is no butler service and no drink service at the beach and pool. Just the bars that you have to walk upto. The hotel did not have any white wine, food variety was very little. No tomato sauce for pasta, so you’re eating Alfredo everyday. With the amount of guests, there were no beach chairs for sanctuary guests. Some guests were sitting on the ground on towels. I barely found a chair at the pool, after waiting around for 1 chair. Do not go to this resort if you have an option.

Older resort but excellent staff, most customer facing staff speak passable English and a lot of them speak good English. It is on a hill so as lots of people mention there are quite a few stairs. The upside of being on a hill is the ocean views are fantastic. Bring older the grounds were very heavily treed which is really nice and the pathways have lots of shade. Only complaint was the mealtimes were late for our family, 1:00pm for lunch and 6:00pm for supper left us regularly coaxing a toddler along to mealtime. Food was typical of a mid grade Cuban resort, acceptable but you are not really there for the cuisine.

We like that the resort is big with lots to do. Our room was roomy with 9 feet ceiling. The kids loved the 4+ swimming pools, only one regret we didn't have a chance to explore them all. The grown up loves the beach activities. Entertainment was good and the staff were friendly and helpful, except one at the a la cart reservation. We love the coconut stand on the way to beach. One of our beach towel got stolen and we had to pay 15 convertible peso was a bit upsetting

Place is well maintained, nice and clean. Be prepared to walk a lot, burns out all the cocktails and fatty food. Nice beach, friendly staff. Food is like everywhere on Cuba, not a lot of variety (especially not much fruits), but you still have something to choose from, desserts are nice. Pool bar is pretty neat, no need to get our of the water to grab another cocktail or beer (bring tumblers with you) Great fun for kids.

Room was great, food amenities stunk to the maximum, location was two Hours Drive from the airport. Sunwing knowingly lies about four or five star hotels. They are actually one to two star hotels when it comes to Food & Entertainment. I went all inclusive to Grand Memories hotel in Holguin Cuba in April 2023. The food is terrible, not because they don’t have enough ingredients, but because the chefs have no experience of preparing any kind of food. The dogs has a tastier Foods than I experienced in this supposedly 4 1/2 star Hotel According to Sunwing. The reason they can lie and lie, because we let them do it again and again, by being their clients.

This Resort was amazing!!! I traveled here in April 2018 with my daughter and myself. The resort had so many activities to choose from...we were never bored. Every day we did a wide range of activities like boat rides and foam parties. The kids club was also amazing. Every night there was a different themed activity for the kids including a field trip to the local zoo. Food was very good and all the staff there were amazing. I'm considering booking there again for this Christmas. The only thing was that I read some reviews before about how many stairs there were at the resort and they were not lying. There are A LOT of stairs haha. I didn't mind but I did see some young parents with strollers struggling to lift the strollers up and down the many stairs.

The resort is really nice. Beach is beautiful and staff is friendly. As for thé rest, this hotel doesn’t come close to a 4-5 star hotel. The Food is way below average even for Cuba. There is no food variety and you eat the same things over and over for lunch and dinner. Not one vegetable. Never seen that in my life. Diamond club is a big waste of money as those with a regular bracelet get the same services. No butler on the beach for diamond club clients. Only one buffet opened instead of two. The bread toaster barely works with crazy lineups. Ran out of bread. (ate hot dogs and hamburgers without bread and condiments). They also ran out of eggs. No tomato sauce so all pastas are with some white thick creamy sauce. No Pina colada or mojitos. Animation was very low profile. No volleyball or soccer balls available for afternoon sports on beach or in pool. Not quite the way we intended to enjoys our summer holiday.

👍👍 Stayed here November 1st-8th, 2022. Arrived opening day after the hotel has been closed for almost 3 years. The renovations that they had completed were very nice. Airconditioning in our room worked great. Beds were comfortable. The hotel was lacking in some areas, but I did not have high expectatio...
