I discovered Brisas this year (2022) and made three visits throughout the year. Have made many visits to Cuba and stayed in many different hotels in various locations across the island. Brisas was by far the most satisfying and enjoyable. Location and facilities were perfect. Beautiful beach. Great variety of amenities, Quiet Areas,Oceanside Trails, Prompt Response by Staff to any requests for assistance. Buffet always had something to satisfy and loved the special restaurants, especially the Cuban and Seafood Restaurants with their ocean views. Some excellent entertainment in the evenings. Most impressed by the staff - a real willingness to be of assistance in every way possible. Brisas is know my Cuban destination of preference and will be returning whenever possible. Thank you to all who made my vacations so enjoyable.

I would come again beaches were amazing and pools great as was the staff. Only issue was getting water. There was no place to purchace so we had to hope they gave u a bottle daily. I wound up going.to the bar and filling up.my empty containers. Didnt go to town as the stores Hotel had age but was clean and well kept. We stayed in a villa 5204 was good condition. Had 1 queen and double.bed. had great veiw of the beach and ocean. Property was large but only half was open and only 1 restaurants was open the others were closed. Had two pools open but they where vclean and good condition. Food was as expected every one knows you don't come here for food. The beer was fine but no Havana club rum.

Beautiful place like paradise. Very large resort with two types of residence. Rooms and villas. Five restaurants, five bars and buffet. Very clean and decent rooms. The beach is not that great compared to other places in Cuba. Foods are plentiful and decent. Keep in mind it's Cuba and not many private companies and no GMO products. Whatever you eat is healthy other than sugary drinks and foods. They have boats and bicycle that you can reserve for free if you have all inclusive package. All you do it tip hard working poor Cubans. There's club house for games and chess. The resort is located in forest and you have both beach and forest atmosphere. Watch my YouTube channel for complete guide and information on the resort.

Fantastic resort! We had an amazing experience. Staff at this resort go above and beyond to ensure your enjoying your holiday. We enjoyed the lobster many times during our stay and all of our meals were fantastic. Hotel is a bit dated and could use some updates but we feel we don't spend much time in there. Beaches are so beautiful staff are always cleaning up after disrespectful guests that leave garbage. Thank you for all your hard work.

10 years I've been going here, even got married there. Last trip Feb-March, it was a total bust. Service was very disappointing, gave a tip for almost everything, you would think the person serving you would come back, nope they would look right at you and walk the other way. Mind you there was a small handful of people that were great and I tipped them well. Hotel is a bit run down, you want a hot shower in the morning.... forget about it! Wifi pretty much nonexistent. Water, drinking water, bottled water. You get one bottle per day in your room. And you can't even buy bottled water in their stores! The beach used to be beautiful! Now it's just sad and garbage not picked up. Thank Brisas for the good times before this trip, but now, I will not be returning again. 👋

Hotel Brisas is a very affordable and great place to stay at when flying into Holguin. They have very friendly staff and a very authentic experience here. It has a really nice beach and solid programming. I enjoyed snorkeling here as well

November 2022 sadly it turned in to a 1 star hotel. Food is very bad Other guests are Latino so their culture is the hotels main concern. Canadian dollar isn't excepted in most place and is 50c exchange. Most Canadians are complaining but hotel doesn't care. If your thinking about coming change your plans

Overall good experience. The beach is beautiful. There is alot of staff that is fantastic. Ĵesus is the main man at the main swim-up bar he will take care of you if you take care of him. Rosa at the buffet is fantastic. The rooms are a bit dated Not much restaurant availability. Beach had no sand fleas. Nightly entertainment was mediocre Daytime entertainment was fun they got the party going most times. Bring any kind of soaps for the staff and locals they appreciate that the most and go out of their way to take care of you.

This hotel has all the basics. The food is decent. Of course, every where you go in Cuba the people are very friendly. The hotel is right on the beach. It is a large property with several restaurants.

Do not spend your money in this institution, the quality is not good at all, there are bugs in the rooms, the food is not well cooked. The cleaning is the worst. as soon as they know that you are from Cuba they treat you bad.... very nasty place

I just spent 2 nights with my family at Las Brisas, the customer service is not the best, one of my rooms had a leak in the roof, the key in the front door never worked, I spent my time reporting the issue. Everything in general is dated and not well maintained, I can't imagine how this beautiful hotel has turned (I compare it on how it was when opened for the first time). The food is not the best, not a lot of options for a buffe. The only things worthy at the moment are the beach, aquatic bicycles, kayaks, catamaran trip, and the show at night for the kids.

1st time being at this resort and wasn't disappointed. Food was typical cuban food but the a la carts were superb. Pools cleaned daily, room was cleaned spotless with fresh towels (a flower everyday from the gardens) . Gardeners constantly maintaining the grounds especially after the heavy rains. Staff knowledgeable with your questions and always willing to help. Beaches were beautiful and cleaned up every morning before the ppl hit the beach. The coffee was fantastic ,wish I could of brought some home ! Wish there was more selection in the buffet but understand the circumstance they are facing with food shortage issues . All resorts are trying to recoup after 2 yr lock down ,so give them a chance to get back to standards they once had . Thumbs up for an amazing vacation

The Air Transat desk at Brisas, manned by Bernardo, is an excellent source of information for personally guided tours. He recommended a tour guide named Eduardo and he was excellent ... did a personalized tour of the archaeological sites and museums in the Banes area. If you don't see a scheduled tour that fits your bill, you should ask Bernardo for ideas and contacts. I'm pretty sure he knows everyone.

In the last 22 years, this resort has gone from a 5 star to a 2 star resort. This is turning into where Cubans come to meet up with Cougars and Panthers. There is a food shortage also.

Traveled there last year at the same time, and since then, the hotel has gone down. You could not drink the water in the restaurants or the bars as it tasted like mold. After complaining three days later, they would put bottled water in your room on a hit and miss determination .We had three days where the water was turned off all day and when it was on not much hot water at all .The location is beautiful right on the beach .the staff are friendly and most are ready to help .The welcome back trip for repeaters to the Indian village was not organized very well. Chaos was what it was. I will have to think twice if I will return again.I know it's cuba and supplies are short but I have always had water to drink .

After going through all these situations, which only represent a small glimpse into a truly disastrous experience, you will understand why I cannot recommend this place at all. This trip will be, without a doubt, my last visit to Cuba. The quality of the food is lamentable; There is no bottled water anywhere, and we have been without water to wash ourselves or flush the toilets for two long days. Even when water is available, new problems arise. The water flowing from the pipes had a muddy color, a real disgust that persisted for several days of my stay. The rooms are extremely mediocre and emanate an unpleasant smell. Faucets don't work unless you use both hands to turn them on. In addition, some hallways have leaks in the ceiling. The whole place, with its ceramic floor, turns into a skating rink when wet, which proved to be a considerable problem given that my octogenarian grandfather was accompanying me. If you decide to take a walk, the only thing you will find in the surroundings are shacks of residents in extreme poverty, evidencing the harsh situation that citizens are experiencing. Customer service ranges from five-star receptionists to waitresses and restaurant managers who consider offering service to be "kind of a favor" to customers. Furthermore, they dare to decide how much a client should eat or drink, a complete idiocy that borders on the collective psychosis that reigns in this place that they try to sell as a four-star hotel. They even make you book a so-called restaurant that offers a seafood dinner, but they only serve chicken, fish, beef, and, at best, half of ONE lobster when they don't run out of existing units after the first one. Time to open the place. I never understood what the reason was for making the reservation in the first place.

Hôtel starting to show its age but well located close to Cuban life. Decent food, nice pools, tennis court. Good restaurants. Noisy animation. Always enough beach chairs. OK drinks.
