Fantastic visitors center. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Directing us to the observation fields as soon as we entered the building as the elk were just coming out. Lots of educational materials and a nice gift show with reasonable prices.

I've been wanting to go here ever since we moved to Western Pa. It's only about 1 & 1/2 trip for us and it was very nice. We went on a spur of the moment weekend in March, and it was still kind of cold. We didn't see any Elk while at the visitor center, but leaving town, a whole group passes in front of us. Still very educational and in a warm day would be very nice. Lots of pathways to walk on and photo moments.

Beautiful facility. Lots of information about elk and other wildlife indigenous to the area. Films and interactive displays for both adults and children. They have an awesome gift shop also. A must see if your in the Benezette area.

You can buy tickets for the wagon rides when they do them. The price was $20 a person. I would recommend going on the later wagon rides as you are more likely to see the Elk on a warm day (70's). Although we didn't see any there at Elk country we did see one on a secondary road headed to St. Mary's. Cooler weather you should see more.

Beautiful area, nicely done, plenty of indoor and outdoor restrooms, big parking lot, great gift shop, well done nature information room. I missed the elk! As i was arriving a bunch of people with big cameras and tripods were leaving. If i ever go back will try to figure out best elk viewing times.

Even though we didn't get to see any Elk on our trip up this past weekend, it was still a very relaxing and beautiful day trip. Grabbed a few snacks from the visitors center, garlic kettle corn and salt and vinegar pretzels....both were really tastey. The property was very well maintained and very clean. The sights were really very beautiful and the weather was perfect. Would like to make a trip again next September.

Didn't see any Elk, however it's also a very good spot to take in the scenery and observe other wildlife in the area.
