Wedding Reception at The Escoffier Room - 10/10 5 Stars! In October 2021 we got married and held our reception at The Escoffier Room - what a fantastic decision that was! From our initial enquiry with Marc Whitley (restaurant manager and senior lecturer), through planning our menu and canapes with the wonderful Head Chef Jonny (Jonathon) Warner, choosing the wine to be served with the food, selecting the welcome drinks and even planning a photo slideshow and personalised music playlist, all the staff and students couldn’t do enough for us to ensure we had the most amazing day! My wife and I (!) enjoyed a beautiful wedding day, in no small part thanks to the magnificent efforts of Marc, Jonny, and all the students at The Escoffier Room. This restaurant is a real hidden gem in the heart of London. I first took my now wife here on a date in an attempt to impress her while we were dating - little did we know that we’d return multiple times, and eventually celebrate our wedding here! Marc was incredibly helpful and attentive in the planning stages of our big day. He is experienced and confident in organising events and so brought a much needed calmness and confidence to our often last minute decision making in the build up. Marc and Jonny organised wine and menu tastings for us, showcasing the restaurants excellent selection of wines and incredible food. The food Jonny and the students produced for our wedding meal was incredible. Words cannot do it justice, you really do have to experience the delicate flavours and impeccable presentation for yourself. During our main course the father of the bride was heard to say “This food is amazing, fine dining in England isn’t dead!”. And to be honest, there wasn’t much to be heard during the canapes as our guests were busy enjoying how delicious they were! The students served our guests with a smile on their faces and professionalism in their manner. The service was top quality and worthy of any 5 star hotel restaurant in any major city of the world. We are so grateful to Marc, Jonny, the students, and all the back room staff at The Escoffier Room for looking after us so well during our wedding celebrations - thank you! xx

Such a great experience, and so reasonable!! £35 for 5 courses with the whole service being run by the 2nd year students, overseen by the lecturers. The weeks are themed and I booked this German week as my husband loves the cuisine. They don't turn tables and you can only book 6-7pm on Tuesdays & Wednesdays (not sure what time lunch service is). The food was really good. The wild boar schnitzel and Kirsch and chocolate dessert were standouts. A couple of dishes could've done with a little more seasoning, but hey, the quality for this price is fantastic. The service was really endearing too. The guy on the table next to us said he tries to go once a month, "support the young guys"!! I wish I could as they seem to be really booked up and we'd love to go back to see whether there is a difference towards the end of their year. Highly recommend!! Edit: we came again 6 months later and the difference is very distinct. Great to see progression, and the food was absolutely amazing.

The Brasserie's food was very good, especially for the price, and the service was fun and easygoing. All wait staff and chefs are students and I love supporting that. The card you fill out at the end of the meal goes toward the students grade at the end of term. I would say the room is a bit more cavernous than I had expected, and the Escoffier Rooms look much comfier, but that's just nitpicking.

It’s a beautifully decorated space and the service was so lovely. Keep in mind it is students serving you, so they are learning and trying to be quite formal but for me I have zero complaints! Every bit of food was delicious and just the perfect sized meal. We did an event and rented out the room with 30 people, and it was the perfect space for this!

A first time to this food and hospitality training establishment. Pleasantly surprised by quality and value. The students are learning to both cook and serve. You get a great food and drink in pleasant surroundings at a good value price served by people trying their best. What's not to like. Would happily return.

Having walked by this place for over 10 years and not noticing it was a restaurant open to the public, I felt a little embarrassed dining there yesterday evening. It was an outstanding experience with courteous service, fashionable cocktails, a thoughtful wine list, and an outstanding menu, executed with aplomb, and flavour aplenty. If you ever find yourself in Victoria/Pimlico/Westminster, do not simply walk by, like I did. The chefs (and possibly the waiting staff & bartenders) are in-training, but you would be forgiven for overlooking that fact, such was the height of the standards.

We ordered one starter, two mains and one dessert to share. Croquette, turbot and lamb dishes were very good. The panacotta tasted a bit too sticky and mango sauce wasn’t really fit in well but overall we had a great lunch with good services!
