Kay
is
a
highly
experienced
and
professional
IBD
nurse,
with
more
than
20
years
experience
in
the
NHS
and
private
sectors.
As
well
as
having
obtained
a
masters
degree
in
specialist
nursing,
she
is
also
an
independent
prescriber,
so
has
the
equivalent
qualification
of
a
Dr
when
prescribing
medication
for
patients
with
IBD.
Kay
was
a
driving
force
in
establishing
the
IBD
biologics
service
at
the
Royal
Free
Hospital.
She
has
also
been
part
of
innovative
research,
including
designing
the
IBD
passport
website,
which
has
helped
improve
the
quality
of
life
for
numerous
patients
living
with
IBD,
through
practical
support.
Despite
her
high
profile,
she
remains
as
down
to
earth
and
approachable,
as
when
I
first
met
her
more
than
10
years
ago.
Kay
is
always
very
honest
about
any
treatments
she
recommends,
and
will
always
explain
any
potential
side
effects
and
practical
ways
these
can
be
minimised.
I
am
writing
this
review
in
my
capacity
as
a
health
care
professional
in
IBD
in
the
NHS
as
well
as
at
a
personal
level
as
a
user
of
Kay’s
aesthetic
clinic
to
treat
veins
on
my
legs
and
face.
I
would
have
no
hesitancy
in
recommending
Kay’s
services
