We thought is was because of COVID that the quality of service went down and the portions became smaller. We have went back a few times hoping it would get better. Well, we tried again today. Although the taste is good, the portions are still small compared to before, but you are still paying the price from before. Good thing there are other good Ethiopian restaurants in town, as we won't be going back to the Nile Ethiopian Restaurant.

COVID-19 Note: They're open 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. for takeout 7 days a week! It's good, folks! Really good! The food is always exceptional. It's good to expect an authentic Ethiopian experience, so go with the flow and enjoy a slow evening.

Eat before you go there!! Better off going to Megenaga or Qera.Waited for an hour after we ordered and the waiter told us she forgot to put the order in!!! They took forever to give us the menu and we should have left for that reason.

Food was amazing!!! A must try cuisine I would say. Service was good. Food came after 10 minutes of ordering so plan accordingly! Overall it would say it’s worth eating there 🥘🍛

So this was my first time eating Ethiopian food. I love African food so let me start there. This Nile isn't a place to go and think you'll get your meal quickly...be prepared to wait. The food...I can say the flavor is there and its good however, what I ordered had a single chicken wing and a hard boiled egg. My other friends ordered a dish with lamb...they had a substantial amount of meat my dish however was a joke! We did read the reviews prior too so knowing their portion size went down was already a known fact however, one piece of meat and its the smallest part of the chicken was an incredible let down. I will not recommend this place at all due to this fact. I'd your going to charge full price for a dish give proper portions.

Fantastic!! Always delicious and friendly staff. Sometimes the food can take a bit, but it's always worth the wait.

Incredible Ethiopian food. The flavors are on another level. Don’t be in a hurry. But then, damn. When the food arrives—it’s so good. 👏🔥🙌

Another wonderful experience. The food was tastier than ever, was ready fairly fast and service was great. Been coming here for years and they've recently had a change in management which freshened up the interior and improved service. With four people, our go-to is to get two veggie combos, a Doro wat (with extra eggs) and one more meat item. This time we went for the raw kitfo. All of it was incredibly delicious. We left feeling very full and still took leftovers.

One star is a bit high. The service was nonexistent, we waited 70+ minutes for 2 simple dishes (vegetarian and beef). And even then the beef was over cooked to the point of being burnt. If your going, eat before you go so you don’t starve while waiting for your food. Oh, and the service? except when we were given our water, we didn’t have a single visit from our waitress, not an excuse or apology. Grrr.

I’ve been coming here for years! The food is always delicious. Sometimes long wait times depending on what time of day but the food is so delicious that it’s worth the wait… sometimes! The lady who takes the order is always polite with a smile on her face. Thank you for the fantastic service!

I wish I could give this place ZERO stars after the experience I had there! I went to this restaurant Saturday Aug 14th, 2021 because my pregnant daughter was craving some Ethiopian food. We went in and placed a To-Go order of a few dishes and were told it would take around 20 mins. we were okay with the wait and went to step outside to wait. When we returned the waitress was too busy flirting that she BLATANTLY ignored us! She was rude and just unprofessional! I felt VERY disrespected! I have never been treated that way before in any establishment. When we finally get our order and the food was mediocre at best. It tastes bland and not spicy at all. I was very disgusting and disappointed with the quality of service and food. WONT BE RETURNING HERE AGAIN.

I spend at least $125 per week. I do not know if the cook changed or if they are tired of my business but they sold me something different when I order the same plate every day. They put way too much rosemary?? Almost puked

We have been dining here for years (even though we have to drive across town to get there). The food is delicious!

It’s definitely went downhill since new management. Customer service is terrible and worse than ever because they are severely understaffed. Don’t even get me started on the wait time for your food. At least before the food used to be worth the wait but these days you wait for minimum of 90 minutes and the food is burned or the flavor just isn’t there. I’m sad because I used to recommend this place to everyone. Honestly just do yourself a favor and go up a few blocks to megenagna if you’re looking for a decent ethiopian restaurant. This place isn’t it no more

I’d give this place 5 stars for the food, 2 for the speed of service, 2 for the venue itself. Best Ethiopian in the denver metro and worth the drive out to Aurora!! We waited for over 40 mins after ordering on a Saturday eve around 7:30, they weee quite busy! Highly recommend.

Delicious food! It would be nice if the meat dishes came with a side of vegetables. Our server was pleasant. Service was not quick, but I'm willing to wait for food that good.

Incredible! I’ve only tried about 4 different Ethiopian places in Denver, but this is probably tied for my favorite spot . Love the spicy lamb. Sauces are flavorful and fresh. Good service.

Veggie combo has so many different things and they are all very delicious! My sister ordered the misir wat and that was super tasty. They gave us plenty of injera which worked perfect for the portions. We were expecting a long wait for our food based on other reviews, I think it was maybe a 30 minutes between sitting down and getting our food.

Though we only ordered take out but that was our first visit on this place. It was recommended by a friend that's why we decided to try. Per other reviews we read, to order ahead of time so you won't waste time waiting, so we did. We called way ahead before we get there. We asked the lady that took our order how long would it take for our order to be done, and she said it'll take 50mins for the order of 4 dishes. So, we went to our couple of errands first before going there and that took us an hour, so we assumed that we're late already picking up our dish. But then, unfortunately our assumption was wrong as we still waited at least 15 mins before we got our order. The food was good except for the lentil dish, part of the vegetable combo we ordered that tasted like it's going bad. It probably not our go to for an Ethiopian restaurant as we prefer a closer one to us that is similar if not better than Nile

Tried Ethiopian food for the first time and it was delicious. Didn’t have any issues with service, food took 30-40 minutes but that’s expected, amazing food. I really enjoyed trying and will be back!

We came to this restaurant seeing decent reviews and recommendation from our Uber driver. The service was too slow. Our first dish came quick enough but the main entree took almost 40 min and that too all veggie dishes were cold in veggie combo. They also forgot that we had ordered a chicken dish. Fortunately that came in after additional 5-6 min and that was great. If it wasn’t for the chicken dish, I’d have given 1 star. Maybe they’re struggling but I feel they can definitely improve their service and ensure the food is warm if not hot for customers who have been waiting for a long time.

First time trying Ethiopian food and it was really tasty and enjoyable. We ordered a tartare and a veggie platter and everything came out on a large tray and we were handed this sour pancake like bread that we used to eat everything. The flavors were rich and tangy. The flavor profile was unlike anything else I had ever tried. I think it'd be a very specific kind of craving but I already know that I'd love to go back when that craving hits!

The beef tibs were some of the best food I've ever had. Great restaurant!

Great place for the African experience. Variety of home made dishes. A touch of Ethiopia in USA.

Our first experience with Ethiopian food, a bit different but made for a fun night with our more experienced friends. Loved the lamb!

Delicious food and excellent service! The spinach sambusa was amazing, and the veggie platter (with 8 different dishes!!) was large and quite tasty. The service was friendly and timely. We'll be back!
